A brand-new Developer Rod has arrived in Fisch, and players can now unlock the powerful Noiseform Rod through a lengthy questline filled with puzzles, rare fish requirements, and hidden locations. Unlike most rods that can simply be purchased, this one requires completing several challenges across multiple areas of the game. If you’re looking for the fastest way to unlock the Noiseform Rod, this guide covers every step you need to know.
How to Start the Noiseform Rod Quest
Your journey begins at Shady Bazaar. Before speaking with the NPC known as the Mysterious Shadow, you’ll need to activate several hidden candles around the area. First, use a Curse Storm Totem.
Once the storm is active, interact with all of the green-highlighted candles scattered throughout Shady Bazaar. After lighting every candle, you’ll receive a notification saying that something has awakened in the bazaar. With that done, head to the Mysterious Shadow and begin the quest.
Quest 1: Blooming Terror and Sinking Terror
The first objective requires two special fish:
- Blossomed Kraken
- Sunken Megalodon
For the Sunken Megalodon, your best option is using the Dead Man’s Rod, which offers around a 20% chance of obtaining the Sunken mutation. The Sunken Rod can also work, although its chances are lower. For the Blossomed Kraken, you’ll need the Blossom mutation obtained through the Verdan Oath progression path. Once both fish are collected, return them to the Mysterious Shadow to complete the first stage.
Quest 2: Wisp Lit Hunter and Winning Side
The second stage becomes significantly more difficult because both fish require specific mutations and rods.
1. Soultouched Sticks Angler
You must catch a Sticks Angler from the Hades area with the Soultouched mutation. This mutation requires using the Hades Scythe, making it one of the more time-consuming objectives in the entire questline.
2. Jackpot Shimmering Silverside
The second fish is a Jackpot Shimmering Silverside, found in the Calm Zone.
Requirements include:
- Catching a Shimmering Silverside
- Using the Random Rod
- Rolling the Jackpot mutation
Fortunately, this fish is generally easier to obtain than the Sticks Angler.
After collecting both fish, return to the Mysterious Shadow and claim the next rewards.
Quest 3: Unlocking the Restricted Noiseform Rod
The third phase introduces two new objectives.
1. Sea Requiem
To complete this requirement, catch a fish with the Husk mutation using the Requiem Rod. The mutation chance is roughly 20%, so expect a bit of farming.
2. Leviathan Challenge
You must catch a Leviathan using one of the following setups:
- Duskwire Rod with the Wobbly enchant
- Tranquility Rod
Many players find the Duskwire setup easier, especially when paired with helpful companions such as the Silly Seal. After completing both tasks, return to the NPC to receive the Restricted Noiseform Rod.
Restricted Noiseform Rod Stats
The Restricted version comes with the following stats:
- Lure Speed: 125%
- Luck: 290%
- Control: 0
- Resilience: 65
- Max Weight: Infinite
- Progress Speed: +22%
- Disturbance: +4
Although the rod is unlocked, it cannot yet be used at its full potential.
Finding the Secret Area
Next, travel to Hawaii through the Abyssal Zenith route. Before continuing, open your settings and change:
- Accessibility → VFX Visibility → Show All
This is important because certain effects may not appear correctly otherwise. Use another Curse Storm Totem and locate the special pool that appears. Use your Restricted Noiseform Rod there until you catch a Compact Disc.
How to Open the Hidden Portal
Once you obtain the Compact Disc:
- Travel to Hades.
- Locate the tombstone marked with the years 1913 and 2013.
- Equip the Compact Disc.
- Hold the interaction button until a portal appears.
Enter the portal to access the mysterious ??? area.
Climb to the top and speak with the NPC waiting there.
All Required Materials for the Final Quest
The final NPC will assign several collection objectives.
1. Broken Calls
Collect:
- 3 Glitched Bloopfish
Using Glitch Potions and Bloop Whistles can make this step much easier.
2. Glitch Beneath the Veil
Catch a Glitched Translucent Scylla.
Recommended methods:
- Ghastly Enchant
- Spirit Binder
3. Living Devil
Catch a Vitalic Olympian Devil using a Bloom Spire with the Blooming Splendor variant.
4. Ocean’s Record
Catch a Float Compact Disc using the Restricted Noiseform Rod.
5. Hidden Beacon
Obtain a Shrouded Angler Lantern from Abyssal Zenith.
Some players have reported needing a Shiny or Sparkling version, so be prepared if necessary.
6. Wandering Calls
Collect:
- 70 Wisp
7. Dead’s Echoes
Collect:
- 50 Dark Wisp
Unlocking the Full Noiseform Rod
After gathering every required item:
- Return to the NPC in the ??? area.
- Turn in all materials.
- Receive the Corrupted Disc.
- Travel back to Shady Bazaar.
- Speak with the Mysterious Shadow one final time.
Completing these steps rewards you with the fully unlocked Noiseform Rod.
Free Chromatic Noiseform Skin Code
Players can also claim an exclusive skin by redeeming the following code:
- thedeepawaitsforyou
This code unlocks the Chromatic Noiseform Skin, which changes color based on your Halo Color settings.
The Noiseform Rod is one of the most challenging Developer Rods ever released in Fisch. From hunting rare mutated fish to exploring secret locations and collecting unique materials, the questline is designed for dedicated players who enjoy endgame content.
While the process can take several hours to complete, the reward is well worth the effort. If you’re planning to start the quest, focus on completing each stage one at a time and gathering the required mutations before moving forward. With enough preparation and patience, you’ll have the Noiseform Rod added to your collection before long.
