Anime Warriors 3 has officially launched its Summer Update, bringing a separate event area packed with new content. Players can explore a fresh progression system, fight new bosses, collect exclusive units, and participate in the new Hunt mode. Since this event uses its own currencies and resources, everyone starts from scratch once they enter the Summer Island. Here’s everything you need to know about the update and how to progress quickly.
How to Access the Summer Event
To enter the new event area, open the Travel menu and select Wayfinder. From there, choose Summer Docks and talk to the first NPC you encounter. This will teleport you to the Summer Island.
Unlike normal gameplay, your regular warriors are unequipped, and you’ll begin with a completely separate progression system. The event introduces its own currency and resources, making it beginner-friendly and easy for new players to join.
Daily Rewards and Event Features
The Summer Event includes several new activities:
- Daily Login Rewards
- Hunt Mode
- New Raid
- Three New Bosses
- Exclusive Potions
- New Traits
- Limited Units
- New Mounts
The developers have also confirmed that Summer Event Part 2 is coming, meaning more content will arrive in the future.
Hunt Mode Explained
One of the biggest additions is the new Hunt Mode. Players can access it by speaking to the Water Goddess NPC. This mode requires Shovels, which are obtained mainly from raids. Using shovels lets you uncover hidden rewards. You must collect 49 rewards to unlock Tier 2, then repeat the process to reach Tier 3. The mode provides several useful rewards, making it one of the best places to spend your time during the event.
Summer Potions and Event Currency
Normal luck boosts and shiny potions do not work on Summer Island. Instead, players must use event-specific items such as:
- Summer Luck Potion II
- Summer Drops Potion II
- Summer Limited Trait Removers
These items only affect Summer content and can currently be obtained from:
- Summer Celebration Calendar
- Hunt Mode rewards
Because of this, saving your Summer resources is very important.
Boss Locations
- First Summer Boss After reaching the trait reroll area near the No Longer Human NPC, you’ll find the first Summer boss directly ahead. This boss serves as the starting challenge and is suitable for most players.
- Paper Angel of Summer The second boss is located to the right side of the first area. It offers additional rewards and helps players gather materials needed for progression.
- Secret Boss The secret boss can be found by heading right and continuing straight. This enemy has an enormous 500 million HP.
Most players probably won’t defeat it immediately, so it’s recommended to level up your Summer units first before attempting the fight.
New Raid and Raid Keys
The Summer Update also adds a new raid. To participate, you’ll need special raid keys, which can be obtained from bosses. The raid functions similarly to previous raids and is relatively manageable once your team becomes stronger. The raid boss deals burn damage, making certain traits especially useful.
New Sungod Trait
One of the strongest additions is the new Sungod trait. Benefits include:
- +250% HP
- +100% Damage
- +30% Resistance
- +15% Attack Speed
- Burn Immunity
- +10% Ultimate Damage
- +10% Burn Damage
- Enemies take 50% extra damage from all sources
Many players consider Sungod stronger than previous top-tier traits. However, obtaining it requires Summer Star Remnants, which are currently difficult to farm.
New Summer Traits
The update also introduces two additional traits.
Solar Trait
This trait provides:
- 2.6x Luck
- +1 Star
It appears to outperform several previous luck traits, making it valuable for farming.
Summer Spirit Trait
Summer Spirit offers powerful bonuses and can be useful for various builds, though players are still testing whether it surpasses existing meta options.
New Mounts
Three new mounts have been added to the Summer Update. These are unlocked through event quests and provide cosmetic variety for players exploring the island.
Secret Unit: Summer Yoruichi
Currently, the only secret unit discovered is Summer Yoruichi. Several players have already obtained her, and she appears to be the most valuable unit introduced in the update. Compared to other Summer units, Yoruichi stands out as the strongest reward available right now.
New Weapon and Accessories
Players can also obtain the Ice Cream Divine Axe through Summer content. Another new accessory, Flippers, grants:
- Increased attack speed
- Increased movement speed
Although useful, many players feel the accessory isn’t particularly powerful compared to other equipment.
Should You Farm the Summer Update?
At the moment, most Summer units are weaker than units from Soul District. Because of this, the update currently benefits:
- New players starting the game.
- Collectors looking for limited units.
- Players aiming for the secret Summer Yoruichi.
However, with Summer Event Part 2 already confirmed, stronger units and additional content are expected soon.
Anime Warriors 3’s Summer Update introduces a completely separate progression system with new bosses, raids, traits, mounts, and limited units. While many of the current units are mainly useful for collectors and beginners, the arrival of Summer Part 2 could significantly improve the event.
