Disaster Plants is one of the newest Cursed Techniques added to Kaizen, inspired by Hanami from Jujutsu Kaisen. Many of its abilities can trap opponents, deal damage over a wide area, and become even stronger once you unlock its Domain Expansion. However, obtaining Disaster Plants takes some effort. Players must farm the Forest of Ruin Raid for exclusive materials and gather millions of Yen before they can buy the technique. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to Unlock Disaster Plants in Kaizen
To get the Disaster Plants Cursed Technique, head to the school courtyard and speak with Dr. Shiro Kato. Open the Permanent Cursed Techniques section in the Curse Shop and purchase the technique. Before you can buy it, you’ll need the following materials:
- Grade 2 Core 50 Enemy drops
- Grade 1 Core 35 Enemy drops
- Cursed Petal 25 Forest of Ruin Raid
- Cursed Root 10 Forest of Ruin Raid
- Yen 4,000,000 General gameplay
Grade 1 and Grade 2 Cores can be obtained from regular enemies, but Cursed Petals and Cursed Roots only come from the Forest of Ruin Raid.
Forest of Ruin Raid Level Requirements
The Forest of Ruin Raid becomes available at Level 300. Higher difficulties provide better rewards and increased drop rates, making Nightmare mode the most efficient choice for farming materials.
- Easy – Level 300+
- Nightmare – Level 930+
If you can survive Nightmare difficulty, it is highly recommended because you’ll gather materials much faster.
Forest of Ruin Raid Drops
Every successful raid rewards Yen, but several rare items have their own drop chances.
- Yen 100%
- Cursed Root 70%
- Cursed Petal 35%
- Verdant Necklace 95%
- Hanami’s Vambrace 45%
- Domain Shard 1.63%
Since both Cursed Roots and Domain Shards come from the same raid, players can farm everything they need at the same time.
All Disaster Plants Moves in Kaizen
Disaster Plants specializes in AoE attacks using roots, branches, and flowers. Most skills become available through Mastery levels.
Branch Trap (Mastery 0)
This skill charges before releasing an area attack around your character. Nearby enemies are damaged and trapped, making it useful against groups.
Death Flower Combo (Mastery 20)
After charging briefly, this move sends branches forward in a straight line. It damages enemies and creates bushes along the path.
Branch Caller (Mastery 65)
This attack summons two giant branches from beneath the ground. It hits enemies in front of you and deals heavy area damage.
Shining Sea of Glowing Branches (Mastery 75)
This is the Domain Expansion. It transports enemies into a flower-filled area where:
- Skill cooldowns become shorter.
- Skill damage increases.
- AoE range becomes larger.
This greatly boosts the power of the entire Disaster Plants moveset.
Flower Beam (Mastery 100)
Flower Beam summons a massive flower that charges before firing a huge pink beam. It deals extremely high damage and is one of the strongest abilities in the technique.
Best Clan for Disaster Plants
The Hanami Clan offers the best synergy with Disaster Plants thanks to its Genetic Hardening passive. Since the Cursed Technique relies heavily on Cursed Energy damage, the clan’s bonuses fit perfectly.

The combination of higher defense and increased Cursed Energy damage makes Hanami Clan the strongest option for this build.
How to Unlock the Domain Expansion
Reaching Mastery Level 75 isn’t enough to unlock Shining Sea of Glowing Branches. You must speak with Hakaze inside Jujutsu Tech and exchange 10 Domain Shards. Once you complete the trade, the Domain Expansion becomes available.
Because Domain Shards are very rare, farming Nightmare difficulty is the best option. While collecting Cursed Roots and Petals for the technique itself, you’ll also slowly gather the shards needed for the Domain.
Disaster Plants is one of the strongest AoE-focused Cursed Techniques currently available in Kaizen. Its abilities excel at controlling groups of enemies, and the Domain Expansion further improves damage and skill range. Although farming the Forest of Ruin Raid takes time, the rewards are worth it, especially if you pair the technique with the Hanami Clan. Players who enjoy wide-area attacks and crowd control will find Disaster Plants to be a powerful addition to their build.
