All Evidence in Roblox Demonology and What They Mean
Identifying the ghost is the main objective in Roblox Demonology, and the only way to do that is by gathering evidence. Every ghost leaves behind three unique clues, and finding those clues before a hunt begins is what separates successful investigators from easy victims. There are currently eight different evidence types in the game, and each one requires a specific tool or setup to discover. If you’re new to Demonology or simply need a quick reference, here’s a complete breakdown of every evidence type and the ghosts associated with them.
EMF Level 5
EMF Level 5 is detected with the EMF Reader. Whenever the ghost interacts with objects, manifests, or starts hunting, the device may spike. A Level 5 reading occurs when all five lights illuminate and the EMF Reader emits a loud, high-pitched sound.

Prints
Ghost Prints appear when spirits interact with doors, windows, walls, and light switches. They are invisible to the naked eye, so you’ll need a UV Light to reveal them. On higher difficulties, fingerprints disappear quickly, so checking recently touched objects is important.

Spirit Box
The Spirit Box allows players to communicate directly with the ghost. Enter the ghost room with the lights off and ask questions like “Where are you?” or “What is your name?” If the ghost responds, you’ll hear an answer and see the blue ghost icon light up.
Interestingly, simply carrying the Spirit Box in the ghost room can eventually trigger a response without pressing any buttons.

Ghost Orb
Ghost Orbs are small floating lights that appear inside the ghost room. They can only be seen through a Video Camera, Head-Mounted Camera, or the Video Monitor back at the base.
Because the orbs are often small and move slowly, setting up a camera in the room and monitoring it remotely is usually the easiest method.
Freezing Temperatures
Freezing Temperatures are confirmed when the room falls below 0°C (32°F). While a Thermometer can measure this precisely, the easiest indicator is your character’s visible breath.
Seeing your breath is often enough to confirm this evidence without needing to stare at the thermometer.

Inscription
Inscription evidence occurs when the ghost writes in a Spirit Book or leaves markings on nearby walls. Place the book inside the ghost room, preferably near the doorway, and wait patiently.
Eventually, ghosts with this evidence will leave messages or symbols behind.

Laser Projector
The Laser Projector creates a grid that ghosts can pass through. If the ghost has this evidence, its silhouette will briefly become visible when crossing the lasers.
This clue can be subtle, so placing a Video Camera facing the projector is recommended. Many experienced players also lower their graphics settings to Level 1, making ghost movements easier to spot in dark areas.
Wither
Wither is one of the more unusual pieces of evidence in Demonology. Instead of appearing directly, the ghost slowly affects the environment around it.
Signs of Wither include:
- Rust appearing on metal objects.
- Paintings becoming damaged or distorted.
- Flowers in pots wilting and dying.
Unlike other evidence, Wither develops over time, meaning players should revisit rooms and keep an eye on environmental changes throughout the investigation.
Tips for Gathering Evidence Faster
Finding all three clues quickly becomes much easier when using multiple tools at once. Start with the EMF Reader and Thermometer to locate the ghost room. Once found, place a Spirit Book, Laser Projector, and Video Camera inside the room while checking nearby objects with a UV Light.
Don’t forget that some evidence, such as Ghost Orbs and Wither, may take time to appear. Patience is often just as important as having the right equipment.
Mastering evidence collection is essential for identifying every ghost in Roblox Demonology. Knowing what each clue means and which equipment to use can save valuable time and help you survive longer investigations. With eight different evidence types and dozens of ghosts to track down, understanding these mechanics will make your hunts much more efficient.
