Animal Hospital Emergency Events Guide – All Emergencies and How to Handle Them!

Things may seem easy when you first start playing Animal Hospital on Roblox, but that changes quickly once you reach the later shifts. Starting around Shift 3, emergency events begin appearing without warning, forcing you to react fast before patients die. Some emergencies only give you 30 seconds to act, while others can throw multiple problems at you at the same time. Knowing what each emergency does and how to deal with it is the key to surviving the tougher shifts. Here’s everything you need to know about all emergency events in Animal Hospital.

What Are Emergency Events?

Emergency events start appearing from Shift 3 onward. Whenever one happens, a notification with a timer will show up on the side of your screen. The countdown remains visible even through walls, making it easier to locate the room before time runs out.

If the timer reaches zero, the patient dies. Some emergencies only affect one room, while others, such as the Ambulance Event, can overwhelm the entire hospital.

  • Ambulance Event None Treat multiple incoming patients
  • Room Fire None Extinguish the flames
  • Patient on Fire 60 Seconds Use Fire Extinguisher
  • Patient Fainted 60 Seconds Carry patient to bed
  • Death Ritual 40 Seconds Remove candles or use Taser
  • Bed Monster 30 Seconds Use Maple Syrup
  • Purple Monster (Room 8) 45 Seconds Complete surgery mini-game
  • Critical Patient 100-120 Seconds Fully treat patient

1. Ambulance Event

The Ambulance Event is one of the most chaotic situations in Animal Hospital. It usually appears during Shift 5, although it can occasionally happen earlier. Dr. Harlow warns you about an anomaly attack, then six patients arrive almost simultaneously.

Some patients are already burning, while others are in critical condition. The event continues until every patient has been treated. Completing your first Ambulance Event rewards extra cash, and future ambulance waves become increasingly difficult.

2. Room Fire

Room fires can happen randomly during a shift and affect any room in the hospital. Standing near the flames drains your sanity over time, so putting out the fire quickly is important.

The Fire Extinguisher near the reception desk is the fastest solution. If a patient enters a burning room, they will immediately faint. Place them onto their bed first to stop the emergency timer before dealing with the fire itself.

3. Patient on Fire

A patient may suddenly rush into the hospital while completely engulfed in flames. You only have one minute to save them.

Using the Fire Extinguisher instantly removes the fire and heals their burns. If you choose to extinguish the flames manually, you’ll still need to apply ointment before the timer expires. Keeping a charged extinguisher nearby makes this emergency much easier.

Be careful, as some burning patients may actually be disguised anomalies.

4. Patient Fainted

Patients can collapse for several reasons, including entering a burning room or being attacked. Thankfully, the solution is simple.

Pick them up and carry them to their assigned bed. Once they’re placed on the bed, the timer disappears and you can continue treatment normally.

Interestingly, players have discovered that throwing a fainted patient into the trash doesn’t count as a death. While not exactly ethical, it can save your run during extremely hectic situations.

5. Death Ritual

The Death Ritual is one of the creepiest emergencies in the game. When you enter the room, you’ll find the patient floating above the bed while surrounded by seven candles.

You have only 40 seconds to stop the ritual. There are three ways to do it:

  • Extinguish all seven candles manually.
  • Use the Taser to instantly break the ritual.
  • Throw Eyedrops, IV Drops, or Coffee onto the candles.

The Taser becomes available at Shift 3 and is often the fastest option. Using consumable items on the candles also prevents sanity loss.

6. Bed Monster

The Bed Monster is the most dangerous emergency because it only gives you 30 seconds to react. It appears underneath a patient’s bed and slowly drags them away.

To stop it, equip Maple Syrup and walk into the red zone. The monster will eat the syrup and release the patient.

Without Maple Syrup, you can interact with the patient repeatedly to free them. If the monster grabs you instead, mash the interact button to escape.

The Bed Monster can also attack players and anomalies, so always carry Maple Syrup during later shifts.

7. Purple Monster in Room 8

This emergency only occurs inside Room 8, the surgery room. A purple creature emerges from the patient, and you must complete the surgery mini-game within 45 seconds.

The instructions are shown on the blackboard behind the bed. Follow the steps correctly and the patient survives.

One important rule: never attack the purple monster. Shooting or tasing it will instantly kill the patient because the creature is directly connected to them.

8. Critical Patients

Critical Patients are among the hardest emergencies to manage. Unlike fainted patients, simply placing them on a bed isn’t enough.

You must complete the entire diagnosis and treatment process within 100 to 120 seconds. These emergencies become especially common during Ambulance Events, where multiple patients may need attention at once.

Prioritizing critical patients can often mean the difference between success and failure.

Tips for Handling Multiple Emergencies

When several emergencies appear at once, focus on the shortest timer first.

  • Bed Monster (30 seconds)
  • Death Ritual (40 seconds)
  • Patient on Fire and Fainted Patient (60 seconds)
  • Critical Patient (100-120 seconds)

Always keep a Fire Extinguisher fully charged and carry Maple Syrup before entering later shifts. Having a Taser ready also helps tremendously, especially when the Ambulance Event creates chaos with multiple emergencies happening simultaneously.

Emergency events are what make Animal Hospital truly challenging. As shifts become more difficult, you’ll need to manage timers, preserve sanity, and prioritize the right patients under pressure. Learning how each emergency works and keeping essential items ready can make surviving the later shifts much easier, especially once Ambulance Events begin appearing regularly.
