The Alien Invasion Anime Warriors 3 update introduced a brand-new game mode inspired by One Punch Man, featuring exclusive rewards, Summer Stars, and powerful units like Universe Dominator. However, unlike regular raids, you cannot jump straight into the mode. You’ll first need to unlock access by obtaining a special item called the Dark Matter Key. Here’s everything you need to know.
What Is Alien Invasion?
Alien Invasion is a new event mode where players defend City Z against waves of alien enemies. The mode is accessed through the Bald Hero NPC and rewards players with Summer Stars, which can be exchanged for units, accessories, relics, and other exclusive items.
Because the mode requires keys, you’ll need to prepare before farming it.
Step 1: Find the Bald Hero NPC
After updating the game, head to the new event area and speak with the Bald Hero NPC. Interacting with him will show two options:
- Enter Alien Invasion.
- Open the Invasion Shop.
If you try entering immediately, you’ll discover that the mode requires a Dark Matter Key.
Step 2: Get Dark Matter Keys
Dark Matter Keys are obtained from the normal boss located in Summer Isles. Every defeat gives roughly a 15% chance to receive a key. Since the drop rate isn’t guaranteed, expect to fight the boss multiple times before collecting several keys.
- Equip your strongest team.
- Continuously defeat the Summer Isles boss.
- Save multiple keys before entering Alien Invasion.
- Use AFK setups or auto farming if available.
Stockpiling keys is recommended because the keys are consumed when entering the mode.
Step 3: Enter Alien Invasion
Once you have at least one Dark Matter Key:
- Go back to the Bald Hero NPC.
- Select “Lead Me to the Invasion.”
- Consume a Dark Matter Key.
- Begin the Alien Invasion event.
The mode functions similarly to Escort Mode, except the enemies and rewards are completely different.
What Rewards Can You Get?
Alien Invasion offers several exclusive rewards, including:
- Summer Stars currency.
- Summer Star Remnants.
- New weapons.
- New accessories.
- New relics.
- Shovels and materials.
- Alien Capsules.
- Universe Dominator, one of the strongest units in the update.
Can You Farm Keys Inside Alien Invasion?
- No.
Dark Matter Keys only come from the Summer Isles boss. Alien Invasion itself does not drop additional keys, meaning you’ll need to return to Summer Isles whenever your supply runs out.
Although the extra key farming can make the process slower compared to previous modes, Alien Invasion contains some of the best rewards in Anime Warriors 3. If you’re aiming for Universe Dominator and the newest One Punch Man content, unlocking this raid should be one of your top priorities.
