Evomon Arcaphex Solo Guide, Best Mons to Use & Build!
If you’re having trouble defeating Arcaphex in Evomon, there’s a surprisingly effective strategy that only requires a single monster. With the right setup, Terragon can survive the entire fight while dealing enough damage to defeat one of the toughest bosses in the game. This guide explains the recommended build, where to find Terragon, and the exact rotation you should use to clear the battle on your own.
Why Terragon Is the Best Choice

Terragon is currently one of the strongest monsters for soloing Arcaphex thanks to its healing, high damage, and excellent survivability. While other monsters may require a full team, Terragon can handle the fight alone if it’s built correctly.
For the best results, try to obtain an SSS Terragon. A shiny version is even better since it receives improved stats, making the battle much easier. Although a normal SSS Terragon can still work, the shiny version gives you a better chance of surviving the boss’s strongest attacks.
Best Terragon Build
Before challenging Arcaphex, prepare your Terragon with the proper equipment and skills.
Recommended Stats
Equip three pieces of Legendary Gear that focus on:
- Special Attack
- Special Defense
- HP
These stats allow Terragon to deal more damage while staying alive during the long boss fight.
Recommended Moveset
Use the following skills:
- Seed Bomb
- Verdant Beam
- Leaf Storm
- Fighting Will (formerly called Meditate)
Fighting Will recently replaced the old Meditate skill but works in the same way by greatly increasing your offensive power.
Where to Find Terragon
You can catch Terragon in Murkwood. Once you enter the area, continue moving straight ahead until you find both Terragon and its pre-evolution. They are fairly easy to spot, making this one of the simpler monsters to hunt. If you come across a shiny Terragon, use a Prismatic Ball to capture it. This gives you a powerful Prismatic Shiny SSS Terragon that performs extremely well against bosses.
Step-by-Step Strategy to Solo Arcaphex

Once the battle begins, follow this rotation carefully.
Step 1: Stack Growth with Seed Bomb
Start the fight by repeatedly using Seed Bomb. Besides dealing damage, this move applies Growth, which restores 8% HP per stack. Continue using Seed Bomb until you reach seven Growth stacks. These healing stacks are the key to surviving the battle, so don’t rush into your damage rotation before reaching the maximum amount.
Step 2: Max Out Fighting Will
After reaching seven Growth stacks, begin using Fighting Will. Each use increases your Special Attack by 50%, and the maximum bonus is 300%. Use Fighting Will a total of six times until your Special Attack reaches the full 300% bonus. Once fully buffed, Terragon’s attacks become much stronger and can quickly reduce Arcaphex’s HP.
Step 3: Begin Your Damage Rotation
With your buffs active, start attacking using:
- Leaf Storm whenever it becomes available.
- Spam Verdant Beam between Leaf Storm cooldowns.
Repeat this rotation until the boss is defeated.
The combination of constant healing from Growth and the large Special Attack bonus allows Terragon to slowly wear Arcaphex down while recovering from incoming damage.
Use the Elite Hunter Class
This strategy also benefits from using the Elite Hunter class. Elite Hunter provides an additional 11% damage against bosses, helping shorten the battle and making the solo run more consistent. While it isn’t absolutely required, it does improve your overall damage output.
Bring PP Potions
One thing many players forget is move usage. During longer fights, Verdant Beam can run out of PP before Arcaphex is defeated. Bring several PP Potions so you can restore your moves without ending the fight early. Having enough PP ensures you can continue your damage rotation until the boss finally falls.
Rewards for Defeating Arcaphex
After defeating Arcaphex, you’ll gain the opportunity to capture Arcub, its pre-evolution. Since Arcaphex is one of the stronger bosses in EVOMON, defeating it consistently is a great way to expand your collection and prepare for future content.
Soloing Arcaphex may seem difficult at first, but Terragon makes the fight much more manageable. The strategy is simple: build up seven Growth stacks with Seed Bomb, increase your Special Attack to 300% using Fighting Will, then alternate between Leaf Storm and Verdant Beam until the boss goes down.
As long as you prepare an SSS Terragon with strong gear, bring enough PP Potions, and follow the rotation correctly, you’ll have a reliable method for farming Arcaphex without needing a full team.
