Campfire Shovel Grow a Garden Guide, How to Get & What It is Use
The Campfire Shovel is one of the most valuable rewards added during the Campfire Part 4 update in Grow a Garden. Unlike regular tools, you can’t buy it from a shop or craft it using event materials. Instead, you’ll need to complete a large portion of the Campfire Collection before it becomes available. Although unlocking it takes some time, you don’t need to collect every single event item. Here’s everything you need to know to earn the Campfire Shovel as quickly as possible.
How to Unlock the Campfire Shovel
To obtain the Campfire Shovel, you must complete 80% of the Campfire Collection.
The full collection includes:
- 11 Event Seeds
- 5 Event Pets
- 6 Event Cosmetics
Thankfully, you don’t have to collect all 22 items. Reaching around 80% completion is enough to unlock the reward. Once you’ve reached the required progress, simply return to the Campfire Collection platform and claim the Campfire Shovel. This makes the grind much more manageable, especially since some collectibles have very low drop rates.
How to Collect Event Seeds
Most of the Campfire Collection comes from gathering different event seeds. Several seeds are obtained through Campfire Seed Packs, including:
- Bear Claw Flower
- Venus Beartrap
- Flame Berry
- Smore Suckle
- Campfire Clover
- Mallow Melt
To earn these seed packs, visit the Bear NPC and give it the fruit it requests. The requested fruit changes every 30 minutes, so checking back regularly will help you collect more packs. Other seeds, such as Firepit Flower, Hearth Reed, and Smoke Stalk, must be crafted at the Campfire Workshop using various materials. Meanwhile, the Firefly Spiral Seed occasionally appears in the Seed Shop for an extremely high price, while the Flamebud Seed is available as a possible reward from Campfire Quests.
How to Collect Event Pets
There are five pets included in the Campfire Collection. Four of them hatch from Campfire Eggs:
- Cicada
- Newt
- Nightjar
- Fire Wisp
Campfire Eggs are crafted at the Campfire Workshop using:
- 1 Rare Egg
- 1 Mango Seed
- 1 Billion Cash
The crafting process takes around 45 minutes. The final pet, Flame Bear, requires additional crafting using a Campfire Egg, a Polar Bear, and 15 Million Cash. Because some pets have low hatch rates, trading with other players can help complete your collection much faster.
How to Get Event Cosmetics
You’ll also need several Campfire cosmetics to increase your collection progress. Available cosmetic rewards include:
- Camp Tent
- Camp Grill
- Camp Chair
- Folding Chair
- Large Grill
- Small Campfire
All of these come from Campfire Crates.
To craft a Campfire Crate, gather:
- 1 Uncommon Egg
- 1 Recall Wrench
- 1 Trowel
- 20 Million Cash
Since the rewards are random, you may need to craft multiple crates before collecting enough unique cosmetics.
Complete Campfire Quests Every Hour
One of the easiest ways to progress toward the Campfire Shovel is by completing Campfire Quests. Speak with the Park Ranger NPC to receive three random objectives. Completing the quest set rewards you with one random event item, which may include:
- Campfire Seed Pack
- Campfire Egg
- Campfire Crate
- Flamebud Seed
- Other event rewards
The quests reset every hour, giving you multiple chances throughout the day to collect new items.
The Campfire Shovel is one of the main rewards from the Campfire Part 4 update in Grow a Garden, but earning it requires dedication. By collecting at least 80% of the Campfire Collection through quests, crafting, Seed Packs, and event rewards, you’ll eventually unlock this exclusive tool. Stay consistent with the hourly quests and workshop crafting, and you’ll be much closer to claiming the Campfire Shovel before the event ends.
