Haze Seas Beginner Guide: How to Level Up Fast, Get Devil Fruits, Haki, Mounts, and More!
Starting your journey in Haze Seas can feel a little confusing because there are so many mechanics to learn right away. From choosing a faction to unlocking Haki and collecting Devil Fruits, new players have plenty of things to figure out. The good news is that the game makes progression much easier once you understand where to go and what to prioritize.
This beginner guide covers everything you need to know, including the fastest leveling methods, how to get free Devil Fruits, where to unlock important abilities, and how to obtain your first mount.
Pick Your Faction and Learn About Races

When you create a new character, you’ll be asked to choose between the Pirate and Marine factions. Both are perfectly fine for beginners, and you can switch later if you decide to try something different. Marines also have the ability to fight other Marines, making PvP available even within the same faction.
Besides your faction, your race is much more important because every race comes with unique passive bonuses. Before rerolling or committing to one, take some time to read each race’s abilities. Some races improve combat, while others provide better mobility or survivability.
One of the rarest and strongest races is the D Clan, which grants access to Conqueror’s Haki. Once unlocked and after meeting the required stamina requirement, you can activate it using the H key. Players with this ability can even trigger dramatic Haki clashes during combat.
How to Start Fresh
If you’ve played Haze Seas before, your previous progress, levels, Devil Fruits, and fighting styles will still be available.
However, if you want to experience the game from the beginning again, visit the Tavern on the starter island. Inside, you’ll find a reset button that completely wipes your character.
Keep in mind that this reset is permanent, so only use it if you’re sure you want to restart your adventure.
How to Get Free Devil Fruits
One of the easiest ways to become stronger early is by obtaining a Devil Fruit. Fortunately, Haze Seas gives several free opportunities to get one.
Your first free Devil Fruit comes from the beginner reward menu. Simply complete a few easy tasks, such as:
- Like the game
- Favorite the game
- Join the Roblox group
After finishing these requirements, you’ll receive a random Devil Fruit.
There are also additional ways to earn free fruits, including:
- Daily login rewards
- Playtime rewards
- Legendary fruit rewards after staying in-game long enough
- AFK rewards
These systems allow players to earn valuable items without spending extra currency.
Other Ways to Obtain Devil Fruits
If you don’t want to rely on free rewards, there are multiple ways to collect more Devil Fruits.
Fruit Spawns
Natural Devil Fruits appear throughout the world every 60 minutes underneath random trees. Once they spawn, they remain available for approximately 20 minutes before disappearing.
Checking popular farming islands during spawn times gives you a chance to grab rare fruits before other players.
Fruit Dealer Spins
You can also visit the Fruit Dealer NPC to spend your currencies.
Players can spin using:
- Cash
- Gems
Every spin gives a random Devil Fruit, making this one of the easiest ways to build your collection if you have enough resources.
Fastest Way to Level Up

Leveling in Haze Seas is much simpler than many Roblox RPGs because the game includes a built-in progression system.
Whenever you reach the recommended level, the game automatically points you toward the next island. Simply travel there, accept the new quests, and continue farming enemies.
Instead of staying on low-level islands for too long, always move to the newest available area as soon as you meet the level requirement. This keeps your experience gain efficient throughout the early game.
How to Get New Weapons
Devil Fruits aren’t your only source of damage.
Many islands sell weapons through NPC vendors. One of the earliest examples is the Katana, which can be purchased without relying on random drops.
As you progress further into the game, stronger weapons become available through boss fights, making boss farming another important activity for upgrading your character.
Unlock Flash Step
Flash Step is one of the first mobility skills every player should obtain.
Once you reach around Level 40, head to the Clown Island and find the Flash Step trainer NPC. After learning the skill, you can activate it using the T key.
This movement ability greatly improves exploration and combat, allowing you to dash around enemies much more effectively.
How to Learn Sky Walk
Sky Walk lets your character move through the air, making exploration much easier.
To unlock it:
- Return to the Starter Island.
- Find one of the large stone pillars.
- Look for the hidden cave nearby.
- Climb through the cave until you reach the Blackleg NPC.
- Speak with Blackleg to learn Sky Walk.
Once unlocked, the ability can also be upgraded later for even better performance.
How to Unlock Busoshoku Haki
Busoshoku Haki becomes available much later in your adventure.
Travel to Loguetown, which is recommended for players around Level 350. There you’ll find Old Man Silver, the Busoshoku Haki trainer.
After learning the skill, you can activate it with the J key to strengthen your attacks during combat.
How to Get Observation Haki
Observation Haki helps you gather useful combat information by revealing enemy health and levels.
To unlock it:
- Reach the Level 600 area.
- Locate the Observation Haki trainer NPC.
- Learn the skill.
After unlocking it, press the R key to activate Observation Haki.
The ability levels up naturally as you dodge enemy attacks while it’s active, so keeping it enabled during combat is the fastest way to improve it.
How to Get the Secret Dino Mount
- Players looking for faster travel should eventually unlock a mount.
- Visit Skull Island and find the NPC named Vanny. Speaking with her allows you to obtain the Dino Mount.
- After purchasing it, simply open your Inventory, head to the Items tab, and equip the mount whenever you need faster movement around the world.
- Besides being useful for traveling, it’s also one of the more unique cosmetic rewards available early in the game.
Haze Seas offers plenty of content right from the beginning, but you don’t need to unlock everything immediately. Start by getting your free Devil Fruit, follow the game’s recommended leveling path, and unlock movement skills like Flash Step and Sky Walk as early as possible. Once you reach higher levels, focus on learning Busoshoku Haki and Observation Haki before hunting for stronger weapons and rare Devil Fruits. Following this progression will make leveling much smoother and prepare you for the tougher challenges waiting in the late game.
