Haki is one of the most valuable systems in Haze Seas, giving every player access to powerful combat bonuses regardless of the Devil Fruit, Fighting Style, or Sword they use. While some Haki abilities increase your overall damage, others improve survivability by helping you dodge attacks or unlock exclusive race-based skills.
As you progress through the game, you can also evolve certain Haki types by completing quests and meeting specific milestones. This guide explains every Haki available in Haze Seas, including how to unlock them, upgrade requirements, and the rewards you receive at each level.
What Is Haki in Haze Seas?
Haki is a special ability that enhances your character without replacing your existing build. Unlike Devil Fruits, almost every player can learn Haki, making it an important upgrade throughout both the early and late game.
There are currently three Haki systems available:
- Armament Haki (Buso Haki)
- Observation Haki (Ken Haki)
- Conqueror’s Haki (Exclusive to the D. Clan race)
Each one serves a different purpose, so unlocking and upgrading them should be part of your long-term progression.
Armament Haki (Buso Haki)
Armament Haki is designed to increase your melee damage while allowing you to hit enemies that normally avoid physical attacks, such as Logia-type Devil Fruit users. It mainly benefits Sword users and Fighting Styles, since it does not increase the damage of Devil Fruit abilities.
How to Unlock Armament Haki
Visit the Buso Haki trainer and purchase the skill. Once unlocked, activate Armament Haki during combat to begin earning progress toward future upgrades.
The more successful attacks you land while Haki is active, the faster you’ll level it.

Armament Haki Level 5 Quest
After reaching 100,000 Haki attacks, speak with the Armament Expert to begin the final evolution quest.
You’ll need to complete the following objectives:
- Get hit by enemies 1,000 times.
- Return to the Armament Expert.
- Spend 200 Gems.
Completing these tasks unlocks the highest level of Armament Haki.
Observation Haki (Ken Haki)
Observation Haki focuses on defense instead of offense. Rather than increasing your damage, it automatically dodges incoming attacks, making difficult boss battles and PvP encounters much easier.
Unlike Armament Haki, progression is earned by successfully avoiding attacks instead of defeating enemies.
How to Unlock Observation Haki
Purchase Observation Haki from its trainer, then continue fighting enemies to build up successful dodge counts.
Every successful dodge moves you closer to the next level.

Conqueror’s Haki
Unlike the other Haki types, Conqueror’s Haki cannot be learned from an NPC. It is an exclusive ability available only to players using the D. Clan race.

Which Haki Should You Upgrade First?
If you’re still leveling your character, Armament Haki is usually the better first choice. The extra damage makes defeating enemies, farming bosses, and progressing through the seas much faster. It also allows you to damage Logia-type enemies that would otherwise ignore normal attacks.
After improving your offensive power, start working on Observation Haki. The additional dodges become increasingly valuable during late-game content, especially when facing powerful bosses or fighting other players.
If you’re using the D. Clan race, upgrading to Race V2 is also worth prioritizing so you can reduce the stamina cost of Conqueror’s Haki and gain additional Health and Stamina.
Haki is an essential part of character progression in Haze Seas and remains useful from the beginning of the game all the way to the endgame. Whether you’re increasing your damage with Armament Haki, improving your survivability through Observation Haki, or taking advantage of the exclusive Conqueror’s Haki available to the D. Clan race, each upgrade provides meaningful benefits that make your character stronger.
As you continue leveling, make time to complete each Haki evolution quest. Unlocking every available Haki upgrade will improve your performance in farming, boss battles, Sea Events, raids, and PvP, making every challenge in Haze Seas much easier to overcome.
