Evomon Traits Guide: All Traits, How to Unlock Them, and the Best Traits to Use
Traits are one of the most valuable progression systems in Evomon. Unlike Skills, which consume Energy and require manual activation, Traits are passive abilities that automatically work throughout every battle. A good Trait can significantly improve your Evomon’s performance, whether you’re fighting bosses, climbing difficult content, or competing against other players.
Since each Evomon can only equip one Trait at a time, choosing the right one can make a huge difference. This guide covers everything you need to know, including how to unlock Traits, where to get Trait Reroll Potions, every Trait currently available, and which ones are considered the strongest.
What Are Traits in Evomon?
Traits are passive abilities that permanently affect an Evomon during combat. Once a battle begins, their effects activate automatically without consuming Energy or requiring any player input.
Each Trait provides a unique benefit. Some increase damage output, others improve survivability through healing or defensive buffs, while several apply status effects such as Burn, Poison, Frostbite, or Bleed. There are also Traits that create weather effects, boost specific elements, or weaken opponents when battle starts.
Keep in mind that every Evomon can only have one active Trait, so selecting the right one for your build is extremely important.
How to Unlock Traits & Reroll Traits
The Trait system becomes available after your Evomon reaches Level 30. Once unlocked, you can assign or replace a Trait by using a Trait Reroll Potion. Every time you use one, your Evomon receives a random Trait that belongs to its elemental type. Because each element has its own Trait pool, not every Trait can appear on every Evomon. Trait Reroll Potions are required whenever you want to obtain a new Trait or replace your current one. You can currently get them from:
- Seasonal Battle Pass
- Robux Shop
- Tower Ascent Mode
Since the outcome is completely random, don’t expect to get your ideal Trait immediately. You may need several rerolls before finding the perfect passive ability.
How to Reroll Traits
If you aren’t satisfied with your current Trait, you can reroll it using a Trait Reroll Potion. Follow these steps:
- Open the Evomon Team menu.
- Select the Evomon you want to modify.
- Open its information panel.
- Click the Trait slot or None if it doesn’t have one yet.
- Use a Trait Reroll Potion.
- A new random Trait will be assigned based on your Evomon’s element.
Repeat the process until you obtain the Trait you’re looking for.

Best Traits in Evomon
The ideal Trait depends on your Evomon’s role, but several stand out as the strongest overall choices.
- Drain is one of the most popular Traits because it provides 18% Lifesteal, allowing attackers to recover health while dealing damage. This greatly improves survivability during longer battles.
- Pursuit increases all damage dealt by 18%, making it an excellent option for almost every offensive Evomon regardless of element.
- BattleSpirit im mediately boosts both Attack and Special Attack by three stages when combat begins, giving your Evomon a massive advantage from the very first turn.
- Regen restores 15% of maximum HP every turn whenever health drops below half. It’s especially effective on defensive or tank-focused Evomon.
- Charge doubles the damage of your first attack after entering battle. This Trait is perfect for Evomon built around high burst damage or powerful opening moves.
Traits play a major role in making your Evomon stronger. Whether you’re looking for higher damage, better survivability, stronger status effects, or useful utility, the right passive ability can completely change how an Evomon performs in battle.
Because Traits are randomly assigned through Trait Reroll Potions, finding the perfect one may take several attempts. However, once you land a powerful Legendary Trait like Drain, Pursuit, or BattleSpirit, you’ll notice a significant improvement in both PvE and PvP battles. Investing time into rerolling Traits is well worth it if you want to build the strongest team possible.
