The latest Anime Squadron update brings a massive Dragon Ball Super-themed expansion packed with new units, a brand-new Divine rarity, additional quests, gear crafting, and several powerful characters to unlock. Whether you’re trying to summon Gometa or complete every special quest, there’s plenty of new content to work through. This guide explains all the major features in the update, where to obtain every new unit, and the fastest way to begin progressing.
Redeem the New Update Codes
Before doing anything else, redeem the latest update codes to claim free rewards. Current codes include:
- UPDATE1.0
- GOBROLYGOGO!
- ULTIMATEFUSION!
- MAINTENANCETOOLONGGRRR!
These codes provide useful resources that can help with summons and progression, so make sure to claim them before they expire.
New Rarities Added
This update introduces two brand-new rarities. The first is the Divine rarity, which features some of the strongest units currently available. The second is a new Exclusive rarity tied to the Battle Pass, allowing players to unlock special characters and exclusive variants through seasonal progression. The update also adds a Shiny Transfer feature. Simply visit the Summon menu and select the Shiny Transfer option to move shiny status between compatible units.

How to Unlock Furious Beast
To obtain Furious Beast, you’ll need to complete several Broly-related objectives. Requirements include:
- Clear Broly Invasion 20 times.
- Complete a Broly Invasion stage solo.
- Deal a total of 400 million damage to Broly.
- Collect the full Broly Gear Set.
- Equip the Broly Gear Set on a unit.
- Clear Infinite Mode with Broly a total of 450 waves.
Most of these objectives are completed naturally while repeatedly farming the new Broly Invasion stages.
How to Get the Broly Gear Set
The Broly Gear Set drops from the new Invasion stages. Simply complete every available Broly Invasion stage to obtain each gear piece. After collecting the full set:
- Open Units.
- Select your character.
- Open Details.
- Equip each Broly gear piece.
Equipping the complete set is required to finish one of the Divine quests.
How to Get Base Broly
Base Broly is obtained from the final stage of the new Broly Invasion mode. Keep in mind that this stage is extremely difficult. On Hard difficulty, the boss has roughly 40 million HP, meaning even well-built teams may take several minutes to complete a single run. Expect to farm this stage many times before obtaining Broly.
How to Get Gometa
Gometa’s Base Form is available through the Secret Selection Banner. Because Secret units have very low summon rates, unlocking Gometa may require a large number of summons unless you get lucky. Once obtained, Gometa is also needed to complete one of the Divine evolution questlines.
Strongest Fusion Divine Quest Requirements
One of the new Divine units requires completing several objectives.
These include:
- Obtain Gometa (Base Form).
- Craft equipment.
- Clear stages.
- Apply Expose.
- Apply Vulnerable.
To craft gear:
- Open the Upgrade menu.
- Select Craft.
- Collect the required materials.
- Create any available gear.
For the Expose requirement, you’ll need to use the new Gometa unit, as one of his abilities applies the Expose debuff during combat.
How to Get the New Secret Frieza Unit
The new Secret Frieza is obtained differently from the summon units. Instead, you’ll need to:
- Complete the new Story stages.
- Unlock Squadron Mode.
- Farm Stage 4 in Squadron Mode.
Like previous Secret characters, the drop chance is expected to be fairly low, so multiple runs will likely be necessary.
Recommended Team
A strong damage-focused team will make farming the new content much easier. If available, consider using:
- Falcon for higher overall damage.
- Shanks if you need additional support.
Shanks provides useful utility, including damage reduction, dodge reduction, and increased accuracy for your team. However, Falcon generally clears stages faster thanks to higher damage output. Players with powerful Traits and upgraded units will have a much easier time farming the new Broly stages, especially since the bosses have extremely high health.
The Dragon Ball update adds plenty of new content to Anime Squadron, including Divine units, Secret characters, Broly Invasion stages, new gear, Shiny Transfer, and several powerful summon banners.
