The Summer Event has officially arrived in Grow a Garden, bringing a limited-time activity packed with exclusive rewards, new seeds, and a cooperative team challenge. During the event, players can earn Harvest Points by submitting specific fruits, allowing them to unlock various prizes before each event cycle ends. If you’re wondering how the Summer Event works or want to maximize your rewards, here’s everything you need to know.
How the Summer Event Works
The main Summer Event takes place at the beginning of every hour. When the event starts, the tide rises across the map, activating a special weather effect. During this period, you can collect and submit:
- Summer Fruits
- Fruits with the Tidal Mutation
These fruits can be turned in at the Summer Harvest NPC. Every fruit you submit increases your Harvest Points, and higher scores result in better rewards once the event timer expires. The event lasts for several minutes, so you’ll want to harvest and submit as many fruits as possible before time runs out.
How to Earn Harvest Points Faster
- Plant plenty of Summer Seeds before the event begins.
- Harvest every available Summer Fruit.
- Collect any fruit with the Tidal Mutation during the tidal weather.
- Empty your backpack frequently so you can keep harvesting.
- Return to the Summer Harvest NPC often to submit your fruits instead of waiting until the last minute.
Since every submitted fruit adds points, continuously harvesting and depositing fruits is much more effective than making only one trip.
What Is the Tidal Mutation?
When the hourly tide rises, some fruits have a chance to receive the Tidal Mutation. These mutated fruits count toward the Summer Harvest event just like Summer Fruits, making them another excellent source of Harvest Points. Whenever the tidal weather appears, keep an eye on your garden and prioritize harvesting mutated crops before the event ends.
Summer Event Rewards
The more Harvest Points you earn, the better your rewards will be after the event finishes. Possible rewards include:
- Shekels
- Recall Wrench
- Cleaning Spray
- Normal Seed Pack
- Coastal Crate
- Campfire Seed Pack
Players with higher Harvest Point totals have a better chance of receiving more valuable rewards, so it’s worth farming as many fruits as possible during every event cycle.
Summer Seed Shop
The update also brings back the Summer Seed Shop, allowing players to purchase seasonal seeds for their gardens. Growing Summer crops is one of the easiest ways to prepare for future Summer Harvest events since these fruits can be submitted for additional Harvest Points. If you’re planning to participate regularly, stocking up on Summer Seeds is highly recommended.
Team Harvest Event Explained
Alongside the individual harvest event, there’s also a Team Harvest Event. Instead of earning points by yourself, this mode combines contributions from multiple players to fill a shared progress bar.
Working together unlocks exclusive rewards much faster than playing alone, making it one of the most rewarding features in the update. Although you can participate solo, joining or creating a team is the better option if you want to complete the event efficiently.
How to Get the Lagoon Lily Seed
One of the biggest rewards in the update is the Lagoon Lily Seed. To unlock it, you’ll need to complete the daily Team Harvest objectives. Filling the progress bar on six out of seven days rewards you with the exclusive seed. Because progress is tracked daily, it’s worth logging in each day and contributing to your team’s harvest.
Other Rewards Available
Besides the regular harvest rewards, the Summer Event also features several premium prizes, including:
- Flower Seed Pack
- Campfire Seed Pack
- Gardener Seed Pack
- Grandmaster Sprinkler
- Octabloom Seed
- Beach Palm Seed
- Jungle Egg
- Bug Egg
These rewards make participating in the event worthwhile, especially for players looking to expand their collection of rare seeds and gardening equipment.
Best Strategy for the Summer Event
To get the most out of each hourly event, prepare your garden before the timer starts. Plant as many Summer Seeds as possible, leave mature crops ready for harvesting, and clear enough backpack space to avoid wasting time.
During the event, continuously harvest Summer Fruits and Tidal Mutation fruits, submit them to the Summer Harvest NPC, and repeat until the timer expires. If possible, join an active team to make progress on the Team Harvest event while also working toward the Lagoon Lily Seed.
By staying active every hour and completing the daily objectives, you’ll be able to collect more Harvest Points, unlock better rewards, and make the most of Grow a Garden’s Summer Event.
