How to Solo Act 4 Sorcerer Battlefield Raid in Anime Vanguards Update 14

The Sorcerer Battlefield Raid Act 4 is one of the toughest challenges added in Anime Vanguards Update 14. While the enemies themselves aren’t too difficult, Mahoraga’s unique immunity mechanic can make the final battle feel impossible if you don’t understand how it works.

Fortunately, there is a reliable strategy that lets you clear the raid solo. As long as you bring the right units and know when to use the raid’s special card mechanic, you can consistently farm Gambler’s Tokens and work toward unlocking Hakari and other exclusive rewards.

How the Act 4 Raid Works

Unlike previous raids, Act 4 has a special restriction that changes how your team performs. Only the first unit you place keeps its:

  • Trait
  • Familiar
  • Memoria

Every other unit you deploy loses all of those bonuses, making them essentially traitless. Because of this, your opening placement is the most important decision you’ll make during the run. This mechanic heavily favors your strongest damage dealer, so you’ll want your best fully built unit on the field first.

Best Team for Soloing Act 4

The recommended setup revolves around a single hyper-carry supported by buffers. Suggested team:

  • Gojo vs Sukuna (Place First)
  • Reimu
  • Ains
  • Devoted Demon
  • Skill King
  • Erza (via Caloric Stone)

The strategy is simple:

  • Let Gojo vs Sukuna carry the entire run.
  • Use every other unit mainly for buffs and support.
  • Ignore traits on support units since they’ll lose them anyway.

Why Gojo vs Sukuna Is So Important

Gojo vs Sukuna is currently one of the strongest units available for this raid because it benefits the most from keeping its Monarch Trait, Familiar, and Memoria. Since only one unit retains its full build, investing everything into Gojo vs Sukuna gives the highest damage output throughout the entire stage. If you don’t own this unit yet, clearing Act 4 becomes much more difficult.

Understanding Mahoraga’s Immunity Mechanic

The biggest obstacle during the raid is Mahoraga. Whenever a unit attacks Mahoraga, the boss immediately becomes immune to that unit’s elements. For example:

  • Gojo vs Sukuna attacks.
  • Mahoraga gains immunity to both of Gojo vs Sukuna’s elements.
  • Damage drops dramatically until another element attacks.

Without planning around this mechanic, your strongest unit will constantly stop dealing damage.

Why Reimu Makes the Raid Much Easier

Reimu is the key support unit for this strategy.

Her extremely fast attack speed constantly refreshes Mahoraga’s immunity toward the Holy element instead of allowing other elemental immunities to remain active.

Because Reimu attacks so frequently:

  • Mahoraga repeatedly swaps to Holy immunity.
  • Gojo vs Sukuna can continue dealing damage almost nonstop.
  • The fight becomes much more consistent.

If you don’t already own Reimu, it’s worth obtaining her through trading or previous event sources.

Early Wave Strategy

During the first several waves, focus entirely on economy and upgrades.

Your priorities should be:

  1. Place Gojo vs Sukuna first.
  2. Farm money.
  3. Deploy all support units.
  4. Upgrade Gojo vs Sukuna as quickly as possible.
  5. Upgrade buffers afterward.

There’s no need to worry much about the raid’s card system during the early game.

Choose Gojo During Clash of the Strongest

Once Gojo vs Sukuna reaches maximum upgrade, activate Clash of the Strongest. For this raid, choose the Gojo path. Gojo performs much better against Mahoraga because his attacks interact more effectively with the raid’s immunity mechanic, allowing him to clear bosses significantly faster than the Sukuna option.

Full Stack Card Mechanics Explained

One of the most overlooked mechanics is the Full Stack card. The Full Stack effect temporarily removes Mahoraga’s immunity. Instead of using it immediately, save it until the final boss on Wave 30. Using Full Stack on the last wave gives you the biggest advantage because:

  • Wave progression stops after Wave 30.
  • Mahoraga remains vulnerable for the remainder of the fight.
  • Your entire team can continuously deal full damage.

This dramatically shortens the final encounter.

Upgrade Reimu Too

Many players forget to improve Reimu during the run.

Even though she isn’t your primary damage dealer, increasing her:

  • Attack Speed
  • Range

helps maintain Mahoraga’s immunity rotation much more consistently.

Extra money after your main carry is fully upgraded can safely be invested into Reimu.

Enable Chaos Mode

If you’re farming repeatedly, don’t forget to activate Chaos Mode. Chaos Mode speeds up the overall run by making waves progress faster, reducing the total farming time without changing the core strategy.

Why You Should Farm Act 4

Besides clearing the raid itself, Act 4 is currently one of the best ways to earn Gambler’s Tokens. These tokens are used to purchase several valuable rewards, including:

  • Hakari evolution materials
  • Raid-exclusive items
  • Additional units
  • Shop rewards added in Update 14

Even though each run can take around 10 minutes due to the 30-wave format, the rewards are well worth the time if you’re planning to complete the new update.

Act 4 may seem frustrating at first because of Mahoraga’s immunity system, but once you understand the mechanics, the raid becomes much more manageable. Following this setup makes soloing the Sorcerer Battlefield Raid far more consistent while also giving you a reliable way to farm Gambler’s Tokens for the newest Update 14 rewards.
