Carnival Hunt Ability Gears Guide – How to Get Every Gear and What They Do

Gears are one of the most important progression systems in Carnival Hunt, allowing both Bunnies and Magicians to gain additional abilities or passive bonuses during a match. Whether you want stronger mobility, better resource management, or improved hunting efficiency, equipping the right Gear can make a noticeable difference.

This guide covers how to unlock Gears, how the durability system works, and every currently obtainable Ability, Passive, and Modifier Gear available in Carnival Hunt.

How to Get Gears in Carnival Hunt

There are currently two ways to unlock Gears in Carnival Hunt.

  • Level Progression As you continue playing matches and increase your account level, you’ll automatically unlock additional Gears. This is the most reliable method since every player can steadily earn new equipment simply by gaining experience.
  • Spend Gold Candies You can also obtain Gears by spending Gold Candies through the game’s random reward system. Since this method relies on luck, you may receive duplicate items or different Gear rarities before obtaining the one you’re looking for.

If you’re missing a specific Gear, leveling up remains the most consistent approach, while Gold Candies offer an additional shortcut for expanding your collection.

Understanding Gear Durability

Every Gear includes a durability value represented by the white dots displayed on its icon. Each white dot represents one available use before the Gear breaks. Once all durability has been consumed, that Gear becomes unusable until it has been repaired. Fortunately, broken Gears aren’t permanently lost. Players can repair damaged Gears by using Oil, restoring their durability so they can be equipped again in future matches.

Modifier Gears Explained

Modifier Gears work differently from standard abilities or passives. Instead of providing entirely new skills, they improve your Ability Gears by reducing cooldowns, lowering charge consumption, or increasing ability effectiveness. Modifier Gears:

  • Stack with one another.
  • Only affect Ability Gears.
  • Consume durability after a successful match.

At the time of writing, the Charge Consumption Reduction effect is currently bugged and does not function correctly.

Intelligence Modifier Gear

The Intelligence modifier focuses on making abilities more efficient. Depending on its upgrade level, it provides:

  • 5–25% reduced Ability Cooldown
  • 5–25% reduced Charge Consumption

Cooldown reduction functions normally, making Intelligence especially useful for players who rely heavily on active abilities throughout a match.

Endurance Modifier Gear

Endurance is designed to lower the amount of Charge consumed when activating Ability Gears. At higher upgrade levels, it reduces Charge Consumption by up to 25%. Keep in mind that this effect is currently affected by the known Charge Consumption bug.

Speed Modifier Gear

Speed improves the overall effectiveness of your active abilities. Depending on its level, it grants:

  • Increased Ability Effect (2.5%–10%)
  • Modified Charge Consumption values

Players focused on maximizing the power of their Ability Gears will generally benefit the most from Speed modifiers.

Bunny Ability Gears

Bunny Ability Gears provide active skills that can be activated during gameplay. Unlike passive bonuses, these abilities cannot be stacked.

High Jump

Launches your Bunny high into the air. This ability is useful for quickly escaping danger, navigating obstacles, or creating distance from the Magician.

Sacrifice

Consumes one Lifegear in exchange for applying the Panic status effect. Although situational, it can be useful depending on your current strategy and team composition.

Dash

Allows the Bunny to perform a fast horizontal leap. Dash is one of the strongest mobility options available, helping players dodge attacks or reposition quickly.

Impostor Seeker

Reveals nearby Impostor Bunnies within a 50-meter radius. This Gear is particularly useful for identifying disguised threats before they become a problem.

Bunny Passive Gears

Passive Gears remain active without requiring manual activation. These passives can stack with one another, allowing players to build specialized loadouts.

Soft Paws

Removes footstep sounds while your Bunny is affected by Panic. This makes it more difficult for the Magician to track your movements during stressful situations.

Cheerleading

Reduces all Charge consumption by 20% whenever a nearby teammate is present. This passive rewards players who stick together instead of playing alone.

Large Pockets

Adds one extra inventory slot. Having additional inventory space allows you to carry more useful items throughout a match.

Ex-Con

Successfully hitting the green skill-check zone while trapped inside a cage no longer consumes Charge. This makes escaping cages slightly less resource-intensive.

Magician Ability Gears

Magician Ability Gears unlock additional active skills that improve tracking and pressure against the Bunnies. These abilities cannot be stacked.

Creepy Speech

Triggers a voice line that increases the Madness level of nearby Bunnies.

This ability helps apply additional psychological pressure throughout a match.

Return Impostor

Instantly recalls the first Impostor you previously placed.

Using this ability also resets the Impostor cooldown, allowing you to redeploy it immediately.

Listening

Remain completely still to activate Listening.

While listening, any Bunny that is not pretending to be dead becomes detectable, making it easier to locate hidden survivors.

Magician Passive Gears

Magician Passive Gears provide constant bonuses and can all be stacked together.

Collector

Allows you to inspect one additional inventory slot when searching a Bunny.

Hasty Collector

Increases Bunny looting speed by 10%.

Impostor Tamer

Adds one extra Impostor to your total available count.

Lucky Charge

Whenever you recharge yourself, there is a 20% chance that your key will not be consumed.

Refreshing Charge

Completely resets all ability cooldowns after charging yourself.

Strong Hand

Reduces Bunny wiggle progress by 20% while carrying them.

This makes it more difficult for captured players to escape before reaching a cage.

Standing Ovation

Increases rewards earned from Hunter-exclusive objectives by 5%.

Mind-Breaker

Causes all Madness effects applied to Bunnies to become 15% stronger.

Warden

Starts every match with one additional key.

This provides extra flexibility during the early stages of a hunt.

Which Gears Are Worth Using?

Some Gears offer more consistent value than others depending on your preferred role.

  • For Bunny players, Dash, High Jump, Large Pockets, and Cheerleading are among the strongest general-purpose options because they improve mobility, teamwork, and inventory management.
  • For Magician players, Listening, Return Impostor, Strong Hand, Refreshing Charge, and Impostor Tamer provide excellent utility throughout an entire match, making them reliable choices for most hunting strategies.

Modifier Gears are also worth investing in, particularly Intelligence, since reducing ability cooldowns benefits nearly every active ability currently available.

Gears add an extra layer of progression and customization to Carnival Hunt, letting players tailor their loadouts to suit different playstyles. Whether you prefer escaping as a Bunny or tracking down survivors as the Magician, choosing the right combination of Ability, Passive, and Modifier Gears can significantly improve your performance.

As you continue leveling up and collecting Gold Candies, you’ll gradually unlock more Gear options to experiment with. Remember to keep an eye on durability, repair broken Gears with Oil, and build loadouts that complement your preferred strategy to get the most value from every match.
