Building a complete collection is one of the biggest challenges in Evomon on Roblox. While catching your first few creatures is fairly straightforward, completing the entire Evomon Dex requires exploring numerous islands, evolving certain Evomons, and defeating powerful bosses before some species become available. Whether you’re aiming for 100% Dex completion or simply looking for a specific creature, this guide covers everything you need to know about the Evomon Dex, including every available Evomon, their locations, types, and how the Shiny system works.

What Is the Evomon Dex?

The Evomon Dex serves as your in-game encyclopedia, recording every Evomon you’ve discovered or captured throughout your adventure. Every time you catch a new species, its entry is automatically added to your Dex. Your ultimate objective is to complete the entire collection by obtaining every available Evomon. Unlike many creature-collecting games, simply exploring isn’t enough. Completing the Dex also requires:

  • Visiting all available islands.
  • Catching wild Evomons.
  • Evolving lower-stage creatures.
  • Defeating Island Bosses to unlock certain catches.
  • Returning to older areas as new content releases.

Currently, players can explore 16 different islands, each featuring its own unique roster of Evomons.

How to Complete the Evomon Dex

Filling every Dex entry takes patience because not every creature appears naturally in the wild. Some Evomons can be caught immediately, while others require additional steps before they’re obtainable. To complete your collection, you’ll need to:

  • Catch every available wild Evomon.
  • Level up creatures until they evolve.
  • Defeat required Island Bosses.
  • Revisit previous islands for missed encounters.
  • Keep playing after updates add new Dex entries.

Several Dex slots remain unavailable, meaning future updates will continue expanding the collection.

Rarest Types in Evomon

While every elemental type has its strengths, some are significantly harder to find than others.

Dragon Type

Dragon is currently the rarest element in the game. Only two known Evomons belong to this category:

  • Tarro
  • Tarragon

Both are found in Murkwood, and they also have the unique ability to function as rideable mounts. Because of their rarity and utility, they’re highly sought after by collectors.

Normal Type

Surprisingly, Normal-type Evomons are also uncommon.

Unlike many monster-catching games where Normal creatures dominate the early areas, Evomon currently features only a small number of Normal-type species, making them much rarer than many players expect.

What Are Shiny Evomons?

Shiny Evomons are rare alternate-colored versions of standard creatures. They don’t replace the normal version but instead serve as extremely uncommon variants that collectors actively hunt. Finding one is considered a major achievement within the community due to their rarity.

Not every Evomon currently has a Shiny version. Here’s how the system works:

  • Starter Evomons (N.001–N.009) cannot appear as Shiny.
  • Shiny variants begin with Chirppy (N.010).
  • Most later Evomons have Shiny versions available.

If you’re interested in shiny hunting, you’ll need to focus on creatures beyond the starter trio.

What Are Sparkle Evomons?

Besides standard Shiny variants, the game also references another rarity known as Sparkle Evomons. Very little official information has been revealed so far, but they appear to be an even rarer variant than Shiny Evomons. Their appearance rates, bonuses, and differences haven’t been fully confirmed yet, making them one of the biggest mysteries for collectors.

Tips for Completing Your Evomon Dex

Completing the Dex becomes much easier with a structured approach. Some useful strategies include:

  • Catch every new Evomon before leaving an island.
  • Train unevolved Evomons to unlock their evolution lines.
  • Defeat Island Bosses as soon as they’re available.
  • Revisit older maps after major updates.
  • Keep an eye on new Dex entries added in future patches.
  • Hunt Shiny variants after finishing your standard collection.

Taking your time with each island helps prevent unnecessary backtracking later in the game.

The Evomon Dex is the heart of progression in Evomon, encouraging players to explore every island, evolve their favorite companions, and uncover rare creatures scattered throughout the world. Although several Dex entries are still marked as unknown, the current roster already offers dozens of unique Evomons to collect across a wide range of elemental types. As new updates continue adding islands, evolutions, and entirely new species, keeping your Evomon Dex up to date will remain one of the most rewarding long-term goals for every collector.
