The latest Sakura Stand update has finally arrived after a lengthy content drought, introducing two highly anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired specs: Naoya Zenin and Choso. While Choso can be obtained through a relatively straightforward boss drop, unlocking Naoya requires completing one of the longest and most challenging questlines currently available in the game.
This guide breaks down every major step needed to obtain both specs, including quest objectives, boss locations, and important preparation tips.
How to Get Naoya Sakura Stand
1. Starting the Naoya Questline
Inside the Dojo, speak to the quest-giving NPC to begin the Zenin Clan storyline.
The first mission is simple but time-consuming. You’ll need to defeat 21 John Zena enemies scattered around the map. These NPCs function similarly to standard bandits and can often be found near beaches and other common combat zones. Once all 21 are defeated, return to the Dojo NPC to receive the next objective.
2. Defeat Rival Clan Members
After completing the opening task, you’ll be instructed to challenge members of rival clans.
To progress, defeat:
- 1 Choso user
- 1 Gojo user
Finding players with these specs may take some time depending on your server population. Once both eliminations are completed, report back to the Dojo.
3. Complete Combat Training Objectives
The next stage focuses on proving your combat abilities through various challenges. You’ll be required to:
- Deal damage to enemies
- Take damage yourself
- Successfully block attacks
- Defeat powerful curse enemies
During this portion, players often need to hunt down rare curse spawns, including special enemies such as Paper Curses and other event-related monsters. Because some of these enemies spawn infrequently, server hopping can significantly reduce the waiting time.
4. The Controversial Zenin Clan Quest
One of the more unusual portions of the questline involves completing a clan-specific challenge tied to defeating a number of female-spec users. While the objective itself is straightforward, many players found this section surprising due to its dialogue and theme. Regardless, it must be completed to continue progressing through the Naoya storyline. Once finished, return to the Dojo NPC again.
5. Dash, Run, and Win 1v1 Matches
The next phase tests mobility and PvP performance. You’ll need to:
- Travel a large distance using dashes
- Complete movement-related objectives
- Win multiple 1v1 arena matches
Many players choose strong PvP specs such as Akaza or other meta builds to speed through this section. Winning the required matches unlocks the next stage of the questline.
6. Bow to Gojo and Toji Users
After the PvP segment, the questline asks players to interact with specific spec users. You must:
- Bow to a Gojo user
- Bow to a Toji user
This objective can usually be completed quickly if you have friends available or can locate players using those specs in public servers.
7. Defeat Multiple Gojo and Toji Users
The following task is significantly more demanding. Players are required to defeat several:
- Gojo users
- Toji users
Depending on server activity, this can become one of the longer portions of the entire questline. Persistence and server hopping are often necessary to finish it efficiently.
8. Defeat Choso in the Tunnel
Eventually, you’ll receive a mission involving Choso. Choso appears inside the Silver Chariot Tunnel and spawns approximately every 1 hour and 30 minutes. Fortunately, the fight itself is relatively easy compared to later challenges. Once Choso is defeated and the objective updates, return to the Dojo once more.
9. Enter the Zenin Clan Raid
The final quest sends players into the Zenin Clan Household, a special raid instance that serves as the climax of the entire obtainment process. Before entering, it’s strongly recommended that you:
- Bring healing food
- Equip a powerful title
- Use your strongest combat spec
- Prepare for multiple phases
This raid contains several difficult encounters and can easily overwhelm unprepared players.
10. Defeat Naoya Zenin
During the raid, you’ll eventually face Naoya Zenin himself. The battle features:
- Multiple combat phases
- Powerful attacks
- Heavy damage output
- Dialogue-driven transitions
Many players consider this one of the most challenging boss fights currently available in Sakura Stand. Surviving the later phases often requires careful resource management and strong defensive play.
After defeating Naoya and completing the raid, return to the Dojo NPC one final time.
11. Claim the Naoya Spec
Speak with the quest NPC after clearing the raid to receive your reward. You’ll officially unlock: Naoya Zenin! This concludes the lengthy Zenin Clan questline and grants access to one of the newest specs added in the update.
How to Get Choso
Compared to Naoya, obtaining Choso is much simpler.
Step 1: Go to the Silver Chariot Tunnel
Travel to the Silver Chariot Tunnel where Choso periodically spawns.
Step 2: Defeat Choso
Wait for the boss to appear and defeat him.
Step 3: Obtain the Death Painting Item
Choso has a 25% chance to drop his special obtainment item, commonly referred to as the Death Painting. Because the drop is not guaranteed, multiple kills may be required before it appears.
Step 4: Use the Item
Once the Death Painting drops, use it while equipped with Stainless. Doing so transforms your spec into: Choso!
Is Naoya Worth the Grind?
Naoya’s obtainment process is one of the longest in Sakura Stand, requiring PvP victories, boss battles, rare enemy hunting, and a difficult final raid. However, players who complete the questline gain access to one of the most visually impressive and unique specs introduced in the update.
Choso, meanwhile, offers a much faster alternative. Although it relies on RNG through a 25% drop chance, the overall process is significantly easier than completing the entire Naoya storyline.
Whether you’re aiming for the powerful blood-based abilities of Choso or the high-speed combat style of Naoya Zenin, both specs represent some of the biggest additions introduced in Sakura Stand’s latest JJK update.
