How to Get the Playtime Badge in 99 Nights in the Forest Guide
The Playtime Badge is one of the harder achievements to unlock in 99 Nights in the Forest. Before you can earn it, you’ll need to rescue the Dino Kid and then collect several unique items for him. While the process takes some time, knowing exactly what to do makes it much easier. This guide explains every step needed to unlock the Playtime Badge and claim its rewards.
Rescue the Dino Kid
The first objective is finding and rescuing the Dino Kid. Head to your base and check the bench near the Campfire. You’ll find a clue tracker that points you toward the Dino Kid’s location. Most of the time, the Dino Kid is trapped inside the Dungeon Cave, which is guarded by several Alpha Wolves. Defeat the wolves, then use the Red Card to open the cave and rescue him. Once you’ve safely brought the Dino Kid back to your camp, you can begin working toward the Playtime Badge.
Give the Dino Kid 10 Unique Items

To unlock the Playtime Badge, you must return 10 different interactive items to the Dino Kid. Each item only counts once, so duplicates won’t help. Below are some of the items you can give him.
- Lunch Box Follow the clues from the Dino Kid Bench Tracker.
- Wolf Corpse Defeat any Wolf.
- Bunny Foot Has a 1 in 6 chance to drop from defeated Bunnies.
- Grape (Berry) Found on bushes around the map.
- Raw Morsel Dropped by enemies such as Bunnies, Wolves, Alpha Wolves, Bears, Arctic Foxes, Polar Bears, Frogs, and Scorpions.
- Cooked Morsel Cook a Raw Morsel at the Campfire.
- Ray Gun or Revolver Ray Gun can be found in the UFO or by using the Alien class. Revolvers appear in chests, gun cabinets, or from the Pelt Trader.
- Blueprint Found at the Crafting Table, rare chests, the Mothership, or purchased from the Furniture Merchant.
- Chili Found naturally, grown from Chili Seeds, or obtained from the Grocery Store, Fairy, or chests.
- Carrot Found around the map, grown on Farm Plots, or bought from the Grocery Store.
- Dynamite or Grenade Found in the Caverns or obtained by playing the Grenadier class.
You only need 10 unique items, so you don’t have to collect every item listed above.
Playtime Badge Rewards
Each time you hand over a new item, the Dino Kid will react with unique dialogue. After giving him 10 different items, you’ll automatically unlock the Playtime Badge. As a bonus, you’ll also receive:
- Playtime Badge
- 10 Diamonds
Although the Playtime Badge takes some effort to earn, it’s fairly straightforward once you’ve rescued the Dino Kid. Focus on gathering 10 unique items during your normal gameplay, and you’ll unlock the badge without needing to grind for every collectible in the game. Along with the achievement itself, you’ll also earn 10 Diamonds as a reward for completing the challenge.
