Rock Fruit Shadow Weapon (Cid Kagenou) Guide – How to Unlock, Materials, Dungeon, and Showcase

The latest Rock Fruit update introduces one of the most anticipated additions to the game: Cid Kagenou, also known as the Shadow Weapon. Alongside this powerful weapon, the update also adds a new Mythical weapon, a brand-new event dungeon, Moonstone currency, fresh equipment, and several new farming locations.

If you’re planning to unlock Cid Kagenou as quickly as possible, this guide explains everything you need to know, including the required materials, where to farm them, how the new Moonstone system works, and why many players already consider the Shadow Weapon one of the strongest weapons currently available.

How to Get the Jimina (Mundane Man) Weapon

Before unlocking the Shadow Weapon, you’ll first want to obtain the new Jimina, also known as the Mundane Man Weapon. The NPC and crafting requirements are located on Event Island, where most of the update’s farming takes place.

You’ll need to gather several materials from different locations across the game.

  • Scarf – Dropped by Event Island enemies.
  • Diary – Also obtained from Event Island mobs.
  • Orb Dark – Drops from the Dark Bacon Boss found on Boss Island.
  • Shadow Iron – Dropped by enemies on the newly added Shadow Island.

Most of these resources are fairly straightforward to collect. However, Orb Dark is expected to be the biggest bottleneck since you’ll need a large quantity, making repeated boss farming the longest part of the process.

Currently, there is no automatic boss summon feature, so players will need to manually spawn the boss each time.

Jimina becomes the first Mythical weapon introduced in Rock Fruit. Rather than simply serving as another collection item, the weapon performs surprisingly well in combat. It features four unique abilities capable of dealing strong damage while maintaining smooth attack animations. Many players expected it to be average, but its overall performance has exceeded expectations, making it a worthwhile weapon even before upgrading to Cid Kagenou.

How to Unlock the Shadow Weapon (Cid Kagenou)

After obtaining the prerequisite weapon, you can begin working toward unlocking the new Shadow Weapon. The NPC responsible for the transformation is located on Shadow Island. Several crafting materials are required before you can complete the upgrade. Some items drop directly from Shadow Island enemies, while others are obtained through the new event reward system.

The crafting recipe includes multiple exclusive resources introduced with this update. Some of the important materials include:

  • Black Slime Orb
  • Shadow Orb
  • Atomic
  • Nuke

These items aren’t traditional monster drops. Instead, they’re obtained through the new Event Island Shop, which introduces an entirely new reward system.

Players can either:

  • Spend Moonstones for guaranteed purchases.
  • Gamble for rewards through the event gacha.

If luck isn’t on your side, saving enough Moonstones eventually lets you purchase the required items directly.

How to Farm Moonstones

Moonstones are the newest event currency in Rock Fruit. To earn them efficiently, you’ll need to participate in the brand-new event dungeon. Before entering, you’ll first need a Space Ticket, which can be obtained through the standard Chest Gacha. Once you have a ticket, you’ll gain access to the event dungeon.

How the New Event Dungeon Works

Unlike traditional combat dungeons, the new event focuses on defending your base against incoming enemy waves. Throughout the map, you’ll notice several mining drills. Each drill operates on a timer, and once its timer finishes, it generates Moonstones.

As you survive additional waves, more drills become active. This creates an interesting progression system where higher waves don’t just increase difficulty—they also dramatically improve your Moonstone income by unlocking additional resource generators.

Because of this, surviving longer is far more rewarding than repeatedly clearing only the early waves.

Shadow Weapon Showcase

The new Shadow Weapon comes with four combat abilities featuring flashy animations and excellent overall damage output. One of its standout features is its cinematic ultimate attack, which includes an impressive cutscene that closely resembles the source material that inspired the character.

Even at relatively low enchantment levels, around Enchant Level 1 or 2, the weapon already performs exceptionally well. As enchantments increase, its damage ceiling becomes even higher. The weapon also benefits from the newly added class introduced alongside this update, giving players another way to maximize its potential.

The latest Rock Fruit update adds much more than a single weapon. Between the Mythical Jimina weapon, the powerful Shadow Weapon inspired by Cid Kagenou, the new Shadow Island, Moonstone event dungeon, and upgraded equipment, there’s plenty of fresh content to explore.

Although some farming requirements—particularly Orb Dark collection and Moonstone grinding—can take time, the update introduces several worthwhile progression systems that reward dedicated players. If you’re aiming to build one of the strongest loadouts currently available in Rock Fruit, unlocking the Shadow Weapon should be one of your top priorities.
