Freezing Shards are one of the final materials you’ll need while progressing through the Rukia Bankai questline in Rogue Piece Rebirth. Without them, you won’t be able to complete the quest and unlock Rukia’s powerful V Skill (Bankai). If you’re stuck on the last objective, here’s everything you need to know about farming Freezing Shards as efficiently as possible. Also check out our Rogue Piece Codes for more rewards!
What Are Freezing Shards?
Freezing Shards are a special quest material introduced alongside the Rukia update. Unlike Ice Shards, which are collected from spawn locations around the world during the base Rukia questline, Freezing Shards are exclusively obtained by defeating a specific boss. They serve as one of the final requirements needed to complete the Rukia Bankai progression.
Before reaching the Freezing Shards objective, you’ll need to complete most of the Bankai questline. The objectives include:
- Eat 100 Ice.
- Defeat the Aizen Boss 25 times using Rukia’s Blade.
- Use Rukia’s abilities 250 times.
- Collect Freezing Shards from the Rukia Boss.
Once every objective has been completed, you’ll unlock Rukia’s final V Skill, granting access to Bankai.
How to Get Freezing Shards
The only known way to obtain Freezing Shards is by defeating the Rukia Boss. Once you’ve progressed through the Rukia questline and unlocked the Bankai objectives, you’ll eventually receive a mission requiring you to collect these shards. Simply continue farming the Rukia Boss until you’ve gathered the required amount.
- Rukia Bankai Boss can be summoned at Throne Island during the Rukia questline.
If you’re farming multiple shards, expect to fight this boss several times depending on the drop rate.
Tips for Farming Freezing Shards Faster
Although Freezing Shards depend on boss farming, there are several ways to speed up the process.
- Defeat the Rukia Boss with your strongest build to shorten each run.
- Complete the other Bankai objectives before focusing entirely on shard farming.
- If possible, fight the boss with other players to reduce clear times.
- Stay on servers where players regularly spawn bosses to minimize waiting between attempts.
Since you’ll likely need multiple boss kills anyway, efficient farming can save a considerable amount of time.
If you’ve already invested time into unlocking Rukia’s Blade, then farming Freezing Shards is the natural final step toward completing the weapon. Although the grind involves repeated boss battles, finishing the quest unlocks Bankai and allows you to use Rukia’s complete skill set. Players interested in collecting every Mythical weapon or completing the new Bleach-themed content will want to finish this objective before moving on to other endgame activities.
