Anime Expeditions Stats Guide: How Stat Rerolls and Stat Transfers Work

Building a strong team in Anime Expeditions isn’t just about summoning rare Units. To truly maximize a Unit’s performance, you’ll also need to optimize its stats. Even two identical Units can perform very differently depending on their stat rolls, making the Stat system one of the most important progression mechanics in the game.

There are two primary ways to improve a Unit’s stats: Stat Rerolls, which generate new stat values, and Stat Transfers, which let you move powerful stat rolls from one Unit to another. This guide explains how both systems work, where to use them, and when they’re worth investing in.

How Stats Work in Anime Expeditions

Every Unit in Anime Expeditions comes with three core stats that directly affect its combat performance. These values determine how effective a Unit is during battles and can vary depending on the stat grades it receives.

The three main stats are:

  • Damage – Determines how much damage a Unit deals with each attack.
  • Range – Controls the maximum distance from which a Unit can target enemies.
  • SPA (Seconds Per Attack) – Represents the delay between attacks. Lower SPA means the Unit attacks more frequently.

Each stat rolls independently and receives its own grade. A Unit can have excellent Damage while having mediocre Range or SPA, making it worthwhile to continue optimizing until you achieve a strong combination.

For players focused on late-game content, investing time into improving stat grades is one of the best ways to increase overall team strength.

What Is a Stat Reroll?

A Stat Reroll is a consumable item that generates a brand-new set of stat values for a Unit. Instead of summoning another copy of your favorite character, you can use Stat Rerolls to try improving its Damage, Range, and SPA.

However, rerolling is completely random. While you may receive stronger grades, there’s also a chance of ending up with worse stats than before.

Stat Rerolls are considered valuable resources and are generally obtained through:

  • Challenge rewards
  • Achievement rewards
  • The in-game Shop

Since they’re relatively uncommon, it’s usually best to save them for Units you plan to use long term.

What Happens During a Stat Reroll?

Using a Stat Reroll completely refreshes a Unit’s rollable stats while leaving the rest of the character untouched.

A reroll will affect:

  • Damage
  • Range
  • SPA

Each of these stats is rolled separately, meaning it’s possible to improve one stat while another becomes worse.

The following features remain unchanged:

  • Passive abilities
  • Evolutions
  • Traits
  • Equipment

Because every reroll replaces the previous values, it’s important to consider whether a Unit is worth investing resources into before spending multiple rerolls.

How to Reroll Stats

If you’ve collected a Stat Reroll item, you can use it through the Stat Potential machine found in the main lobby.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Stat Potential area in the Main Lobby.
  2. Press E to interact with the machine.
  3. Select the Stat Reroll option.
  4. Choose the Unit you want to improve.
  5. Confirm the reroll to consume one Stat Reroll item.
  6. Review the newly generated stat grades.

You’ll also notice a Worthiness meter at the machine. Increasing this meter improves your chances of obtaining stronger stat rolls, making it worthwhile to fill whenever possible before spending valuable rerolls.

What Is Stat Transfer?

Stat Transfer is another progression system that lets you preserve excellent stat rolls instead of wasting them on Units you no longer use.

For 10,000 Gold, you can transfer the stat rolls from one Unit onto another compatible Unit.

This feature is especially valuable when:

  • You summon a stronger replacement Unit.
  • You evolve a character into its upgraded version.
  • A new meta Unit becomes available.
  • You accidentally roll outstanding stats on a Unit you don’t plan to keep.

Rather than starting over with fresh stat rolls, Stat Transfer allows you to carry those high-quality stats onto your preferred Unit.

How Stat Transfer Works

The Stat Transfer system always involves two Units.

  • Donor Unit – The Unit that currently has the desirable stat rolls.
  • Recipient Unit – The Unit that will inherit those stats after the transfer.

Instead of discarding older Units immediately, it’s a good idea to inspect their stat grades first. Even an outdated character may have exceptional rolls that can significantly improve one of your main Units through Stat Transfer.

Because rerolling top-tier stats is extremely rare, transferring them is often much more efficient than trying to recreate the same results with additional rerolls.

Tips for Optimizing Your Units

Making the most of the Stat system requires careful resource management, especially since Stat Rerolls aren’t easy to obtain.

Here are a few useful strategies:

  • Save Stat Rerolls for Units you’ll use in endgame content.
  • Increase the Worthiness meter before spending rerolls whenever possible.
  • Don’t discard Units without checking their stat grades first.
  • Use Stat Transfer to preserve rare SSS or Z-tier rolls.
  • Prioritize Units with excellent Damage and lower SPA for higher overall damage output.
  • Consider transferring stats after evolving a Unit instead of rerolling from scratch.

The Stat system in Anime Expeditions adds another layer of progression beyond simply collecting rare Units. While powerful characters provide a solid foundation, high-quality stat rolls can make a noticeable difference in their overall effectiveness.

Learning when to use Stat Rerolls and when to rely on Stat Transfers will help you avoid wasting valuable resources while building a roster capable of handling the game’s toughest content. By saving exceptional stat rolls and transferring them to your strongest Units, you’ll progress much more efficiently throughout your Anime Expeditions journey.
