As you continue playing, you’ll earn a steady supply of summon tickets, resources, and duplicate characters, all of which are important for upgrading your team.
Because duplicates play a significant role in strengthening Cookies, obtaining one powerful unit early isn’t nearly as impactful as building your roster over time. In addition, unlocking the game’s full reroll potential takes longer than expected, making the process much less efficient than in most idle RPGs.
Why Rerolling Takes So Long
The biggest drawback is how long it takes before you can access your pre-registration rewards. To unlock the in-game mailbox, you’ll need to progress to approximately Quest 89, which typically requires around 40 minutes of gameplay. Only after reaching this point can you claim the launch rewards, including premium summon tickets and crystals. Even after collecting everything, you’ll still be far from unlocking every summon banner available in the game.
Understanding the Gacha System
CookieRun: Crumble features three different summon banners, and each one serves a different purpose.
Standard Banner
The standard banner uses a unique Gacha Level system. Instead of immediately accessing every rarity, you’ll gradually unlock higher-tier units as your Gacha Level increases through additional summons. This means new accounts are limited to lower Gacha Levels, making early rerolls less valuable because the best rarities simply aren’t available yet.
Limited Rate-Up Banner
The premium rate-up banner features a fixed summon rate for its featured Cookie regardless of your Gacha Level. The featured unit has approximately a 0.6% drop rate, meaning rerolling still relies heavily on luck. Most tickets for this banner come from:
- Login rewards
- Event missions
- Special campaigns
- Premium purchases
- Battle Pass progression
Special Banner
The third banner is intended for more advanced accounts. Unfortunately, it requires reaching Gacha Level 4, which takes hundreds of summons. Even after unlocking your mailbox and claiming launch rewards, you’ll likely still be far from accessing this banner. For many players, simply progressing naturally is much faster than trying to reroll specifically for this summon pool.
Fastest Reroll Method
If you still want to reroll, the most efficient strategy avoids waiting until Quest 89. Instead, focus on unlocking the game’s Pass, which becomes available around Quest 50. Once unlocked:
- Progress until the Pass becomes available.
- Spend earned Crystals to purchase Pass levels.
- Claim the Pass rewards immediately.
- Collect the limited summon tickets earned from those levels.
- Use them on the limited banner.
- If you’re unhappy with the results, create a new account and repeat.
This method significantly reduces the time required for each reroll compared to waiting for mailbox rewards.
How Many Summons Can You Get Per Reroll?
The exact number depends on how far you progress. Generally, players can expect:
- Around 7 limited summons by rushing the early Pass rewards.
- Up to 11 summons after collecting free shop rewards.
- Around 15 summons if you continue leveling the Pass further before restarting.
While this is enough to try your luck, it still requires a considerable time investment compared to many other idle gacha games.
While CookieRun: Crumble technically supports rerolling, it isn’t particularly rewarding compared to other idle RPGs. The lengthy unlock process, Gacha Level restrictions, and heavy emphasis on duplicate characters mean most players will progress faster by sticking with a single account.
If you’re determined to reroll, rushing to unlock the Pass and spending Crystals on early Pass levels is currently the fastest method available.
