Legacy Piece Abyssal Karate Guide: How to Unlock, Materials, Skills & Best Farming Method

Abyssal Karate is one of the newest fighting styles added to Legacy Piece, introducing a unique water-based combat system centered around shark attacks, enemy marks, and an aggressive Frenzy mechanic. Unlocking it takes some preparation, as you’ll need to evolve your race, summon a powerful sea boss, and collect several rare materials. If you’re wondering how to get Abyssal Karate or whether it’s worth the grind, this guide covers everything you need to know, including the unlock requirements, material drop rates, and the fighting style’s unique passive.

How to Get Abyssal Karate in Legacy Piece

Before you can learn Abyssal Karate, you must first unlock the Ancient Fisherman race. Once you’ve evolved your race, gather the required boss materials and visit the Abyssal Karate trainer to unlock the fighting style. You’ll need the following:

  • Ancient Fisherman Race
  • 3 Ancient Deep Shark Blood
  • 15 Ancient Deep Shark Teeth
  • 8 Ancient Deep Shark Fins

Every material comes from the same world boss, making the grind fairly straightforward once you know how to summon it.

How to Unlock the Ancient Fisherman Race

The first requirement is evolving into the Ancient Fisherman race. Visit the Fisherman Elder NPC on Fishing Island while using the standard Fisherman race. Complete the Elder’s questline by:

  • Defeating Captain Fishman 5 times.
  • Collecting 3 Ancient Fisherman Scales.

After finishing the quest, you’ll unlock the race evolution requirements.

Ancient Fisherman Evolution Materials

To evolve your race, collect:

  • 20 Ancient Fisherman Scales
  • 5 Ancient Cores

Once both materials have been obtained, return to the NPC to evolve into the Ancient Fisherman race.

How to Summon the Ancient Deep Shark

Every Abyssal Karate material comes from the Ancient Deep Shark boss.

To spawn it, you’ll need an Abyssal Bait.

Simply use the bait while standing in the ocean to summon the encounter.

Once defeated, the boss has a chance to drop every material required for Abyssal Karate.

Ancient Deep Shark Drop Rates

The boss rewards three important crafting materials.

Drop rates are:

  • Ancient Deep Shark Tooth — 100%
  • Ancient Deep Shark Fin — 10%
  • Ancient Deep Shark Blood — 1%

The Blood is by far the rarest material.

Since you’ll need three of them, expect to defeat the boss many times before completing the fighting style requirements.

How to Get Abyssal Bait

Abyssal Bait is obtained through the new fishing system.

Your fishing rod determines the drop rate.

Basic Rod

  • 0.1% chance

Angler Rod

  • 2.5% chance

Sea Dragon Rod

  • 5% chance

Angelic Rod

  • 10% chance

If you’re planning to farm Abyssal Karate, upgrading to a better fishing rod can significantly reduce the amount of time spent looking for bait.

Abyssal Karate Passive

One of Abyssal Karate’s biggest strengths is its exclusive passive mechanic.

Many of its attacks apply special Marks to enemies.

Once marked, opponents have a chance to trigger shark attacks that deal additional damage throughout combat.

This passive continuously pressures enemies without requiring extra inputs, making the fighting style especially effective during longer boss fights.

Frenzy Mode Explained

Another signature mechanic is Frenzy Mode.

While active, Abyssal Karate becomes considerably more aggressive, allowing you to maintain offensive pressure while benefiting from its shark-based passive effects.

The combination of Marks, shark attacks, and Frenzy Mode gives the fighting style a unique identity compared to other combat styles currently available.

Abyssal Karate is a rewarding fighting style for players willing to invest time into the new fishing system. After evolving into the Ancient Fisherman race and collecting materials from the Ancient Deep Shark boss, you’ll gain access to a combat style built around Marks, automatic shark attacks, and Frenzy Mode. While farming the required Blood drops may test your patience, Abyssal Karate delivers strong sustained damage and a unique combat experience that makes it one of the most exciting fighting styles introduced in the latest Legacy Piece update.
