Rebirth is one of the most important progression systems in Build a Base and Steal. While every Rebirth resets most of your progress, the permanent bonuses you receive make every new run much faster. Higher Luck increases your chances of obtaining rare pets, while extra pet slots and free Gear help you earn money more efficiently.
With the Build Mode Update, there are now 16 Rebirths to complete. To finish them all, you’ll need to collect 29 different pets and meet increasingly expensive money requirements. Since several pets are required for future Rebirths, it’s a good idea to keep them instead of rerolling whenever they appear in the Pet Roll.

How to Rebirth in Build a Base and Steal
Rebirthing is a simple process once you’ve met the requirements. First, make sure you have enough Money and that all the required pets are currently in your base. Next, click the Rebirth button located on the left side of the screen beneath the Shop button. This menu displays the current Rebirth requirements and the rewards you’ll receive.
Once everything is complete, press the Rebirth button to reset your progress and claim the permanent bonuses.
What Happens When You Rebirth?
Before rebirthing, it’s important to understand what you’ll lose and what you’ll keep.
You will lose:
- All Money.
- All collected Pets.
- Every purchased Upgrade.
You will keep and gain:
- Permanent Luck increase.
- +2 Max Pets every Rebirth.
- +3 Defense Blocks every Rebirth.
- Exclusive Gear rewards.
- Faster overall progression for future runs.
Although starting over may seem like a setback, the permanent boosts make each new playthrough much more efficient than the last.
Tips for Completing Rebirths Faster
One of the biggest mistakes new players make is rerolling rare pets without checking future Rebirth requirements. Many pets that seem unnecessary early on, such as Dragon, Unicorn, Pegasus, Hydra, Golden Kitsune, Fairy, and Mermaid, are required later in the progression. Holding onto these pets can save you a lot of time when you’re ready for the next Rebirth.
It’s also worth focusing on building a strong income before attempting higher Rebirths. The money requirements increase dramatically, eventually reaching trillions. Thanks to the permanent Luck bonus earned from previous Rebirths, you’ll have a much easier time rolling rare pets, making each subsequent Rebirth faster and more rewarding.
