Crafting is one of the most important systems in 100 Days at Sea. While your journey starts on a small wooden raft, you’ll eventually unlock better structures, stronger defenses, factories, and even larger boats. However, many crafting recipes are locked behind Bonfire upgrades, so knowing what to build first can make progression much smoother. This guide covers how crafting works, every crafting resource, the complete crafting list by Bonfire level, and the best crafting order for beginners.
How Crafting Works in 100 Days at Sea
The crafting table is available on your starting raft and contains seven crafting tiers. New recipes become available as you upgrade your Bonfire. Your Bonfire level determines which crafting tier you can access:
- Bonfire Level 2 unlocks Tier 2 recipes.
- Bonfire Level 3 unlocks Tier 3 recipes.
- Continue upgrading until Bonfire Level 7 to unlock every crafting recipe in the game.
Before creating most items, you’ll need to process collected materials using the Crusher, which is integrated into the crafting station. Some recipes also require separate unlocks before they appear, so don’t worry if certain items seem to be missing.
Another thing to remember is that several structures have a construction limit. If you already own one of these items, its recipe disappears from the crafting menu until the existing one is destroyed.
All Crafting Resources
Every crafting recipe requires a combination of three basic materials.
Wood
Wood is collected from floating wooden debris drifting around your raft. Since it’s one of the most common resources, gathering it regularly is essential throughout the game.
Metal
Metal is obtained from floating metal scraps found across the ocean. Many advanced machines and vehicles require large amounts of metal, making it one of the most valuable resources later in the game.
Glue
Glue is much rarer than Wood or Metal. It drops from defeated pirates and is mainly used for higher-tier equipment and advanced structures. It’s usually best to save Glue until you unlock stronger recipes.
