EMOTIA Escape Characters Guide – All Characters and Skills

Choosing the right character in EMOTIA Escape can make a big difference, especially once you start playing more rounds and dealing with tougher situations. Each character has their own passive abilities that provide different benefits, from blocking damage and revealing objectives to helping teammates recover HP or stamina.

Most characters can be unlocked with Emotes, which are the main currency in EMOTIA Escape.  After unlocking a character, you can improve their abilities by playing additional rounds with them and spending more Emotes. Glee is the exception, as this character is available automatically when you begin the game. There are currently seven playable characters in EMOTIA Escape. Here is what each one can do.

How to Unlock More Character Skills

Unlocking a character is only the first step. Most characters begin with one passive skill, while their second passive needs additional progression.

To unlock the second skill, you generally need to:

1. Choose the character you want to level.
2. Enter five rounds while playing as that character.
3. Spend 380 Emotes to unlock the second passive.
4. Continue using the character to learn how their abilities work.

The extra skills can significantly change how a character plays, so completing the five-round requirement is worthwhile if you plan to use that character regularly.

1. CentriON

CentriON is known as the Emotian of Balance and focuses on surviving incoming damage. The character is a useful option for players who want additional protection while completing objectives.

Tank

• Unlock: Available when CentriON is unlocked.

Tank gives CentriON a 30% chance to block the first instance of damage taken on each floor. This makes the skill especially useful when you’re trying to avoid losing HP early during a floor.

Blessing of Balance

• Unlock: Start five rounds with CentriON and spend 380 Emotes.
• During an Emolite minigame, this passive allows CentriON to block one instance of HP damage. It gives the character another defensive tool when completing objectives.

CentriON costs 125 Emotes to unlock.

2. Echo

Echo is the Emotian of Agitation. Her abilities are centered around gathering information, making her useful for players who want to locate important objects and nearby enemies more easily.

Echolocation

• Unlock: Available when Echo is unlocked.
• Whenever Echo takes damage, the locations of Emolites are revealed for five seconds. This can make it easier to find objectives after getting hit.

Focus

• Unlock: Enter five rounds with Echo and spend 380 Emotes.
• Focus reveals the location of the nearest Emovil within 15 studs. This can help you react to nearby threats before they become a bigger problem.

Emotian of Control

• Echo also has a title called Emotian of Control.
• Unlock: Costs 880 Emotes.

3. Lila

Lila is the Emotian of Vanity and specializes in movement and distraction. Her abilities are particularly useful when an Emovil is chasing you or when you need a quick way to draw enemies away.

Runway

• Unlock: Available when Lila is unlocked.
• When an Emovil is chasing Lila, her movement speed increases by 8%. This gives her a useful advantage when escaping from enemies.

Stand-in

• Unlock: Enter five rounds with Lila and spend 380 Emotes.
• Whenever Lila takes damage, she creates a clone that distracts enemies within 30 studs for four seconds.
• Stand-in can only activate once per floor, so it is best treated as an emergency escape tool rather than something you can repeatedly trigger.

• Lila costs 125 Emotes to unlock.

Losten

Losten is the Emotian of Loss. His passive skills can help with both objective completion and enemy control, making him a flexible choice for different situations.

X-5529

• Unlock: Available when Losten is unlocked.
• After completing a minigame, Losten has a 20% chance to automatically complete a random Emolite device that currently doesn’t have another player using it.
• This ability can activate only once per floor.

A-1523

• Unlock: Enter five rounds with Losten and spend 380 Emotes.
• Whenever Losten takes damage, he creates a puddle that slows nearby enemies by 50% for three seconds.
• This effect gives Losten a way to create some distance after being attacked.

How to Unlock Losten

• Losten costs 125 Emotes.

Nvee

Nvee is the Emotian of Envy and is designed around escaping danger after taking damage. Her skills can remove enemy aggro and reposition her when things go wrong.

Stealth

• Unlock: Available when Nvee is unlocked.
• Whenever Nvee takes damage, all aggro is removed and she becomes undetectable for five seconds.

There is one important drawback: Nvee cannot sprint while the Stealth effect is active.

Shadow Step

• Unlock: Enter five rounds with Nvee and spend 380 Emotes.
• After taking damage, Nvee either teleports to the closest teammate who is at least 20 studs away or moves to a random safe location.

Shadow Step can activate only once per floor.

Nvee costs 125 Emotes to purchase.

Kindle

Kindle is the Emotian of Kindness and is the most team-focused character in the current roster. Instead of only helping herself, her passive abilities provide useful support to nearby teammates.

Sacrifice

• Unlock: Available when Kindle is unlocked.
• After Kindle loses HP from an attack, she restores 1 HP to nearby allies within seven studs.
• The healing does not restore Kindle’s own HP, so this ability is mainly designed to support the rest of the team.

Wave of Devotion

• Unlock: Enter five rounds with Kindle and spend 380 Emotes.
• When Kindle takes damage, nearby enemies within five studs are knocked back.
• This provides some breathing room when multiple enemies get too close.

How to Unlock Kindle

• Kindle costs 125 Emotes.

Glee

Glee is the Emotian of Jot and is the only character that you receive automatically when starting EMOTIA Escape. Because you don’t need to spend Emotes to unlock her, she is also the first character available to new players.

Endless Happiness

• Unlock: Available from the start.
• Glee receives a permanent 5% movement speed increase. This is a straightforward but useful passive for getting around the map faster.

Dance Time!

• Unlock: Enter five rounds with Glee and spend 380 Emotes.
• Whenever Glee takes damage, she restores 15% of the Stamina of herself and nearby allies within 20 studs.
• This makes Glee particularly useful in multiplayer situations where keeping teammates moving can be important.

How to Unlock Glee

• Glee is automatically unlocked when you start EMOTIA Escape, so there is no Emote cost.

Which EMOTIA Escape Character Should You Unlock?

The best character depends on how you prefer to play. Players who want extra survivability may prefer CentriON, while Echo can be useful for players who want more information about objectives and nearby enemies.

Lila and Nvee are better suited to players who prefer mobility and escaping dangerous situations. Losten provides a mixture of objective assistance and crowd control, while Kindle is a strong choice for players who like supporting their teammates.

Glee is also a solid starting character because she is available immediately and already provides a movement speed bonus. Her upgraded passive adds additional stamina support for nearby teammates. Since every character costs only 125 Emotes to initially unlock, it is worth trying different characters rather than committing to just one playstyle.

EMOTIA Escape currently offers seven characters, with each one built around a different passive ability set. Some are designed to survive damage, others help locate objectives or enemies, while characters such as Kindle and Glee can provide direct benefits to teammates.

Glee is the easiest character to start with because she is automatically unlocked, while CentriON, Echo, Lila, Losten, Nvee, and Kindle each require 125 Emotes. After unlocking them, playing five rounds and spending 380 Emotes unlocks their additional passive skill.
