Anime Expeditions East Town Quests Guide: NPC Locations and Rewards!
The Warrior Saga Update added plenty of new content to Anime Expeditions, including a brand-new area called East Town. Unlike the other maps in the game, East Town currently has NPCs that give players special questlines to complete. Finding these characters is important because their quests eventually lead to two new Units and useful progression materials.
There are two NPCs to find in East Town: Bioinsect and Prodigy. Both characters have their own requirements, and you need to complete Bioinsect’s quest before you can properly progress through Prodigy’s questline. This guide covers where to find both NPCs, how to complete their quests, and what rewards you can get.
How to Find the East Town NPCs in Anime Expeditions
East Town is currently the main location where you can interact with NPCs during the Warrior Saga Update. However, there is one important detail to remember: Bioinsect and Prodigy only appear while you are playing an active stage. They will not spawn when you enter the map through Sandbox mode.
You can find both NPCs by exploring the area around the main portal. Their locations are separated, so knowing which side to check can save you some time.
- Prodigy: Look to the right side of the portal, close to the Basketball court.
- Bioinsect: Head to the left side of the portal and look around the beach.
You should speak with Bioinsect first because his quest is required before you can move forward with Prodigy’s questline.
Bioinsect East Town Quest
Bioinsect can be found near the beach on the left side of the main portal. Talking to him starts a quest called Perfection’s Trial, which requires you to complete Bioinsect’s Unit Trial.
Unit Trials are special challenges connected to specific Units in Anime Expeditions. Completing them can reward unique Equipment associated with the Unit. However, these Trials are considered some of the harder content in the game, so you may need a strong team before attempting one.
To access Bioinsect’s Unit Trial, you first need to obtain the Bioinsect Unit through either the Mini Banner or Standard Banner. Once you have the Unit, you can begin working toward its Trial and complete the objective required by Bioinsect.
After finishing the Perfection’s Trial quest, you receive the following rewards:
- Mechanical Wings — Equipment and an Evolution Material required to obtain Bioinsect (Final Form).
- 15x Equipment Reroll — Used to reroll Equipment stats.
The Mechanical Wings are particularly important because they are part of the requirements for evolving Bioinsect into his Final Form.
Prodigy’s East Town Questline
After dealing with Bioinsect’s quest, you can move on to Prodigy. The NPC is located on the opposite side of the portal, near the Basketball court.
Prodigy gives you the Scholar’s Trial, a longer questline that combines several activities from the Warrior Saga Update. Unlike Bioinsect’s quest, you will need to complete multiple objectives involving East Town, Tournaments, Expedition materials, Units, and wave clears before reaching the final Trial.
The Scholar’s Trial eventually gives you access to the Prodigy Unit, making it one of the more important questlines to complete if you are trying to collect all of the new content.
All Scholar’s Trial Objectives
The Prodigy questline contains several objectives that must be completed. Some are straightforward, while others require more time because they involve collecting materials or clearing a large number of waves.
Here are all of the objectives for the Scholar’s Trial:
- Complete East Town once.
- Participate in one Tournament.
- Clear a Boss Node on East Town Difficulty 3.
- Collect 350 Mechanical Scrap.
- Clear 150 Waves using Bioinsect (Final Form).
- Complete Prodigy’s Trial.
- Evolve one Unit.
- Clear 150 Waves using Carrot (Unleashed).
Because several objectives require specific Units and upgraded forms, it is a good idea to prepare your team before starting the questline. The 150-wave requirements in particular can take some time, so completing them while progressing through other activities can make the process more efficient.
How to Complete the East Town Questline Faster
The best way to approach the East Town quests is to avoid treating every objective as a completely separate task. Several requirements involve content that you will already be playing while progressing through Anime Expeditions, so combining your objectives can reduce the amount of grinding required.
Start by finding Bioinsect and working toward his Unit Trial. Since his quest is tied to Bioinsect (Final Form), you should make sure you have access to the required Unit and the materials needed for its evolution.
Once you can use Bioinsect (Final Form), you can work toward the 150-wave requirement for Prodigy’s Scholar’s Trial. The same approach applies to Carrot (Unleashed), as you will eventually need to clear another 150 waves with that specific Unit.
You should also collect Mechanical Scrap whenever possible rather than leaving it until the end of the questline. The requirement is 350 Scrap, so collecting it naturally while completing other Expedition activities can save you from having to farm it separately later.
Are the East Town Quests Worth Completing?
Yes, the East Town quests are worth doing, especially if you want to unlock the new content introduced with the Warrior Saga Update. Prodigy’s questline is particularly important because completing the Scholar’s Trial gives you access to the secret Prodigy Unit.
The quests are not strictly mandatory if your only goal is to continue playing through the normal game content. However, skipping them means missing out on new Units, Equipment, Evolution materials, Expedition-related progression, and Index completion.
Bioinsect and Prodigy also appear to be useful additions for players working on end-game teams. Because of that, completing their questlines is a good long-term goal even if some of the objectives require significant grinding.
East Town adds more than just another map to Anime Expeditions. The area introduces two NPC questlines that connect the new Warrior Saga content with Unit Trials, Expeditions, Tournaments, and other activities.
Start by finding Bioinsect near the beach and complete his Perfection’s Trial. After that, head toward the Basketball court to find Prodigy and begin the longer Scholar’s Trial. While the Prodigy questline has several time-consuming objectives, completing it gives you access to the secret Prodigy Unit and helps you make further progress with the new Warrior Saga content.
