100 Days at Sea Survivor Guide: How to Rescue All 6 Survivors

Rescuing Survivors is an important part of progressing through Roblox’s 100 Days at Sea. These NPCs are scattered across different Islands, and each one has a unique rescue objective. Some are trapped behind enemies, while others require you to solve puzzles or use specific items to reach them.

There are six possible Survivors in total, although only three will appear during a single run. Finding and rescuing them is worth doing because every Survivor provides a permanent +1 Day Count Multiplier. They also return to your base and help with several resource-processing tasks. Here is how to find and rescue every Survivor in 100 Days at Sea.

How Many Survivors Are in 100 Days at Sea?

There are currently six different Survivors that can be rescued in 100 Days at Sea. However, you will not find all six during the same survival run. Only three Survivors spawn per run, with each one appearing on their own specific Island.

You can use the Radio to locate the Islands where Survivors are waiting. Once you find the correct Island, the rescue method depends on the Survivor. Some are simple rescues that require moving objects, while others involve combat or environmental puzzles.

The six Survivors are:

  • Captain Stephen — Cliff Island
  • Doctor Madeline — Cage Island
  • Professor Erik — Ghost Pirate Island
  • Test Subject Terrence — Lab Island
  • Miss Felix — Lava Island
  • Deck Chief Dan — Mining Island

1. How to Rescue Captain Stephen

Captain Stephen can be found on Cliff Island, where he is hiding inside a shelter located near the top of the Island. Compared with several other Survivor rescues, this one is relatively straightforward because there are no enemies or puzzles involved.

Use your Harpoon to reach the upper section of Cliff Island. When you find the shelter, its entrance will be blocked by several objects. You need to clear these objects before Captain Stephen can leave.

You can either move the objects manually or place them inside a Sack to clear the entrance. Once the path is open, Captain Stephen can be rescued.

The basic steps are:

  1. Travel to Cliff Island.
  2. Use your Harpoon to reach the upper area.
  3. Find Captain Stephen’s shelter.
  4. Remove the objects blocking the entrance.
  5. Move them away or place them in a Sack.
  6. Clear the entrance to complete the rescue.

This is one of the easiest Survivor objectives because you do not need to fight enemies or solve a complicated puzzle.

2. How to Rescue Doctor Madeline

Doctor Madeline is located on Cage Island, where she is trapped inside a locked cage. To free her, you first need to find a special key hidden somewhere on the Island.

Look for a small purple-and-gold Chest. Inside this Chest is the Key required to unlock Doctor Madeline’s cage. Once you have collected it, drag the Key over to the cage to release her.

There are also three Boku Pokus around the area. They can attack you while you are trying to complete the rescue, but they are not particularly difficult to defeat if you have reasonable equipment.

To rescue Doctor Madeline:

  1. Find Cage Island using the Radio.
  2. Search the Island for the purple-and-gold Chest.
  3. Open the Chest and collect the Key.
  4. Take the Key to Doctor Madeline’s cage.
  5. Drag the Key onto the cage.
  6. Defeat the Boku Pokus if they attack you.
  7. Free Doctor Madeline.

You do not need particularly powerful weapons for this encounter, making it a relatively accessible Survivor rescue.

3. How to Rescue Professor Erik

Professor Erik is found on Ghost Pirate Island. His rescue is more combat-focused because he is locked inside a cage surrounded by eight Ghost Pirates.

The Ghost Pirates do not all appear simultaneously. They spawn one after another, so you need to continue fighting until all eight have been defeated. These enemies can be more dangerous than those encountered during some of the easier Survivor objectives.

A Gun is recommended before attempting this rescue. Using a ranged weapon allows you to maintain some distance from the Ghost Pirates while dealing damage.

The rescue process is:

  1. Locate Ghost Pirate Island.
  2. Find Professor Erik’s cage.
  3. Prepare your weapon before starting the encounter.
  4. Fight the Ghost Pirates as they spawn.
  5. Defeat all eight Ghost Pirates.
  6. Once the enemies are cleared, Professor Erik leaves the cage.

Make sure you have enough health and ammunition before starting the fight. Since the enemies arrive one at a time, you can focus on each Ghost Pirate as it appears rather than fighting the entire group at once.

4. How to Rescue Test Subject Terrence

Test Subject Terrence is trapped inside a containment tube on Lab Island. Unlike Professor Erik’s rescue, this one does not require a major combat encounter. Instead, you need to interact with a series of buttons connected to the pipes covering the Island.

Look around the Lab Island for clusters of pipes. Near these pipe sections, you will find red buttons. Pressing the correct buttons is what activates the mechanism needed to release Terrence from his containment tube.

The buttons are not particularly difficult to locate once you know what to look for. Focus on areas where several pipes are grouped together rather than searching randomly around the Island.

To free Terrence:

  1. Travel to Lab Island.
  2. Find Test Subject Terrence’s containment tube.
  3. Explore the Island and look for clusters of pipes.
  4. Search near the pipes for red buttons.
  5. Press the required buttons.
  6. Complete the mechanism to open the containment tube.
  7. Terrence will be freed once the puzzle is completed.

This rescue is mostly about exploration and knowing where to look, so you should not need to bring specialized combat equipment.

5. How to Rescue Miss Felix

Miss Felix is trapped above a lava pool on Lava Island. Her rescue requires you to solve a water-flow puzzle that involves redirecting a stream of water toward the lava.

There is a water stream running through the Island, along with several pathway pieces that can be rotated. Your objective is to arrange these pieces so that the water travels in the correct direction and eventually reaches the lava pool.

Once the water reaches the lava, it extinguishes the lava beneath Miss Felix’s trap. This clears the danger and allows her to escape.

Follow these steps:

  1. Find Lava Island.
  2. Locate Miss Felix above the lava pool.
  3. Find the water stream running through the Island.
  4. Examine the pathway pieces along the water route.
  5. Rotate the pieces into the correct positions.
  6. Create a continuous path for the water.
  7. Direct the water toward the lava.
  8. Once the lava is extinguished, Miss Felix will be released.

Take your time with this puzzle. If the water stops before reaching the lava, check the pathway pieces again and adjust their direction.

6. How to Rescue Deck Chief Dan

Deck Chief Dan is located on Mining Island, where he is trapped inside an abandoned mine. Reaching him requires you to destroy several walls blocking the route.

Fortunately, Mining Island contains Dynamite that you can use to break through these walls. Pick up the Dynamite and carry it to a wall that can be destroyed. When you bring the explosive to the correct location, it will automatically light and detonate.

There are four walls that need to be destroyed before you can reach Deck Chief Dan.

The rescue process is:

  1. Travel to Mining Island.
  2. Enter the abandoned mine.
  3. Find the available Dynamite.
  4. Carry Dynamite to a blastable wall.
  5. Allow it to ignite and destroy the wall.
  6. Continue deeper into the mine.
  7. Repeat the process for all four walls.
  8. Reach Deck Chief Dan to complete the rescue.

Be prepared to make several trips through the mine because you need to destroy multiple barriers. Once all four walls are gone, the route to Deck Chief Dan will be open.

What Do Survivors Do in 100 Days at Sea?

Rescuing Survivors is useful beyond simply increasing your Day Count Multiplier. After you successfully rescue one, they will teleport back to your base and begin helping with various tasks.

Survivors can assist with several important jobs, including:

  • Activating machines.
  • Putting items into the Crafting Table.
  • Adding fuel to the Bonfire.
  • Helping keep the Bonfire supplied until it reaches its maximum level.
  • Increasing your Day Count Multiplier.

Each rescued Survivor provides a permanent +1 Day Count Multiplier. Since only three Survivors appear during a single run, you can potentially increase your multiplier significantly by rescuing the available Survivors.

Another useful detail is that Night Raid enemies do not attack the rescued Survivors. This means you do not need to constantly protect them after they return to your base.

Best Way to Find Survivors

Since only three Survivors appear in each run, finding the correct Islands is partly dependent on which Survivors have spawned. The Radio is your main tool for locating their Islands, so use it whenever you are trying to track down a Survivor.

Once you identify the Island, prepare according to the rescue objective. Some Survivors require combat equipment, while others are focused on puzzles or exploration.

A good approach is:

  • Use the Radio to locate Survivor Islands.
  • Bring a Gun when heading to Ghost Pirate Island.
  • Carry useful storage items such as a Sack for Captain Stephen’s rescue.
  • Keep enough health and supplies for combat encounters.
  • Pay attention to environmental clues during puzzle-based rescues.
  • Complete Survivor objectives whenever they are reasonably close to your current route.

This helps you avoid wasting valuable survival resources while traveling unnecessarily across the map.

Are Survivors Worth Rescuing?

Yes, Survivors are valuable because they provide both a gameplay benefit and a permanent progression bonus. Every Survivor you rescue adds +1 to your Day Count Multiplier, which can make a noticeable difference during longer survival runs.

Their assistance at your base is also useful. Having Survivors activate machines, handle Crafting Table tasks, and maintain Bonfire fuel reduces some of the work you would otherwise have to handle yourself.

Since only three Survivors appear per run, you should take advantage of the ones available rather than assuming you can collect all six in a single game.

The six Survivors in 100 Days at Sea each have their own rescue location and objective. Captain Stephen requires you to clear a shelter, Doctor Madeline needs a Key from a Chest, Professor Erik requires you to defeat Ghost Pirates, and Test Subject Terrence involves a pipe-and-button puzzle.

Miss Felix requires you to redirect water onto a lava pool, while Deck Chief Dan requires Dynamite to destroy four walls inside a mine. Once rescued, every Survivor returns to your base and provides a permanent +1 Day Count Multiplier while helping with several resource and base-management tasks.

Since only three of the six Survivors spawn during each run, use the Radio to locate the available Islands and complete the rescues whenever you have the necessary equipment and resources.
