The Glory Wheel Staff is one of the special pieces of equipment you can craft in Iron Soul Dungeon. However, getting the recipe is only the first step. You still need to collect enough Ore and use the Forge, where the result is affected by RNG.
If you want to craft a Mythical Glory Wheel Staff without wasting all of your Mythical Ore, there is a more efficient method you can use. This guide explains how to get the recipe, which Ore to use, and how the forging system works.
How to Get the Glory Wheel Staff Recipe
Before you can craft the Glory Wheel Staff, you need to obtain its recipe from the Wheel of Glory. You will need a Glory Core to access the special equipment available through the wheel.
Getting the required rewards can take some time because the Wheel of Glory uses RNG. You may need to spin the wheel multiple times before obtaining what you need. Once you have the Staff recipe, head over to the Forge and select the Glory Wheel Staff recipe to begin crafting.
Keep in mind that having the recipe does not guarantee that your Staff will be successfully crafted. The Forge still has a chance-based outcome.
How to Craft Glory Wheel Staff
The Glory Wheel Staff requires up to 10 Ore for its highest listed crafting chance of around 72%. You can use fewer Ore, but doing so will lower your chance of successfully crafting the Staff. If you are trying to save Mythical Ore, you don’t need to fill all 10 slots with Mythical materials. A useful combination is:
- 6 Mythical Ore
- 4 Legendary Ore
- 10 Ore in total
The important part is having Mythical Ore as the majority of the materials. This allows you to aim for the Mythical version of the Staff without spending 10 Mythical Ore on every attempt.
Does Ore Level Affect the Staff’s Damage?
No. The level of the Ore does not directly increase the Staff’s base damage.
The Glory Wheel Staff has its own fixed scaling, which is based on your best weapon. Its damage scales at around 120% of your best weapon’s damage, without a stated maximum limit.
Because of this, you don’t need to worry about using the highest-level Ore just to increase the Staff’s damage. The more important factor is the rarity distribution of the Ore you put into the Forge. The Staff’s additional sub-stats are also affected by RNG, so getting a perfect Staff may require several crafting attempts.
Can You Use Hell Ore?
Hell Ore cannot be used to create a Hell version of the Glory Wheel Staff.
The same restriction applies to the other Glory Wheel equipment covered by this crafting system. These include:
- Glory Wheel Staff
- Yokozuna
- Stardust Wizard Headpiece
- Mage Chest Piece
Because of this, it is better to save your Hell Ore for other equipment or crafting purposes instead of using it on the Glory Wheel Staff.
Why Use 6 Mythical and 4 Legendary Ore?
Using 6 Mythical and 4 Legendary Ore is mainly a way to conserve your Mythical materials.
If you use 10 Mythical Ore every time you attempt the recipe, failed crafting attempts can quickly drain your supply. By replacing four of them with Legendary Ore, you can reduce the amount of Mythical Ore used per attempt while keeping Mythical as the dominant rarity.
You can also experiment with other Ore combinations. However, if your goal is specifically a Mythical Staff, keeping Mythical Ore above the other rarities is the safer approach.
How Does the Glory Wheel Staff RNG Work?
Even when the Forge displays a high crafting percentage, the Staff is not guaranteed.
For example, using 10 Ore can give you around a 72% chance, but that still means there is a possibility that the Forge will produce something else. You may need multiple attempts before getting the Staff.
This is why having a large supply of Ore is important. It is better to farm dungeons and build up your materials before repeatedly trying to craft the Staff.
Best Way to Save Mythical Ore
If you are currently low on Mythical Ore, avoid using all of your stock on one crafting attempt. Instead, consider using lower-rarity Ore to fill the remaining slots. You can use combinations involving:
- Mythical Ore
- Legendary Ore
- Epic Ore
- Rare Ore
- Other lower-rarity Ore
The main thing to remember is that Mythical Ore should remain the majority if you want to aim for a Mythical result.
The Glory Wheel Staff can be expensive to craft if you constantly use full stacks of Mythical Ore. Since the Forge is still based on RNG, there is no guarantee that one attempt will give you the Staff you want.
For players trying to conserve resources, using 6 Mythical Ore and 4 Legendary Ore is a practical approach. You still keep Mythical as the dominant rarity while reducing the amount of Mythical Ore spent on each attempt.
Before crafting repeatedly, make sure you have plenty of Ore saved up. Farming dungeons for additional materials can make the process much easier and prevent you from running out of Mythical Ore after a few unlucky attempts.
Because the Glory Wheel Staff still depends on RNG, the most useful next decision is how many crafting attempts your current Ore stock can realistically support before Mythical Ore becomes the limiting resource.
