How to Find Boreal Hollow in Fisch
To reach Boreal Hollow, you first need to travel to Northern Expedition and make your way toward Boreal Pines. Once you arrive, finding the right landmark will make the search much easier. Look for the Merchant NPC, as this gives you a useful starting point for finding the hidden entrance.
The reinforced crab cages can also be found around this general area, but the entrance to Boreal Hollow is not directly beside them. Instead of searching around the cages, use the Merchant as your main reference point.
From the Merchant, start moving uphill toward the northeast. Keep climbing while checking the rocky area ahead of you. Eventually, you should notice a bright green opening built into the rocks.
That glowing green opening is the entrance to Boreal Hollow. Walk through it to enter the hidden area.
How to Trigger the Goliath Siphonophore Hunt
Once you enter Boreal Hollow, head toward the main fishing pool. The Goliath Siphonophore Hunt does not simply appear immediately, so you need to trigger it first.
Start fishing in the main pool and continue building up disturbance. Keep fishing until the hunt activates. You do not need to leave Boreal Hollow and search for another location, as the hunt is connected to the disturbance you create in this area.
Once the hunt starts, you can begin fishing for the Goliath Siphonophore.
How to Catch Goliath Siphonophore
Catching the Goliath Siphonophore is more difficult than a normal fishing encounter because it comes with a special reel mechanic. During the fight, your progress bar can temporarily become frozen.
When this happens, your fishing progress stops for a short period, making it harder to finish the catch. The Goliath Siphonophore can also reduce your resilience, which adds another layer of difficulty to the encounter.
Because of this, avoid rushing the reel when the special effect activates. Keep your attention on the fishing bar and be prepared for your progress to stop temporarily.
Boreal Hollow is much easier to find once you know to use the Merchant at Boreal Pines as your landmark. The important part is heading uphill toward the northeast rather than searching directly around the reinforced crab cages.
