Reign Piece has changed quite a bit compared to its older updates. The game now has new specs, weapons, systems, and content that give players more things to grind for. One of the biggest additions is Kokushibo, which comes with a new questline, boss fight, and the Moonborn race.

If you have not played Reign Piece for a while, the Kokushibo update is a good place to start. The process of unlocking him is fairly straightforward, although you will need to spend some time defeating demons and farming the required items.

How to Start the Kokushibo Quest

The first thing you need to do is travel to Demon Forest Island. Once you arrive, look for the Lunar Shrine. There is an NPC located near the shrine who will give you the questline needed to unlock access to the area.

The quests are not especially complicated, but they require some grinding. You can complete them while farming other rewards, so it is worth preparing your strongest spec and weapon before starting. Here are the main requirements you need to complete:

  • Defeat 250 demons.
  • Defeat the Yoriichi boss 20 times.
  • Collect 5 Sun Crescents.

The first objective is simple because almost any demon enemy can count toward the requirement. You do not have to focus on a specific type of demon, so simply farm whichever enemies you can defeat quickly.

How to Get Sun Crescents

Sun Crescents are important for the Kokushibo progression. You need five of them for the questline, and they can be obtained from the Yoriichi boss.

The Yoriichi boss can be spawned by using a Sun Crescent. Once the boss appears, defeat it and continue farming until you have collected the required items.

The boss can also be set to auto spawn, which makes the process easier if you are planning to farm for a longer period. Depending on your setup, this can save you from repeatedly manually starting the encounter.

For players who are going to spend a lot of time farming the requirements, using a private server is also recommended. It gives you a more controlled environment and can make grinding the bosses and demons less annoying.

Unlock the Lunar Shrine

After completing all three parts of the initial questline, you will gain access to the Lunar Shrine.

This is where the next part of the Kokushibo progression begins. Before you rush into the next stage, make sure your character is strong enough to handle repeated fights because you will need to defeat a large number of enemies to summon the Kokushibo boss.

The requirements are still fairly simple, but the main challenge is the amount of grinding involved.

How to Spawn the Kokushibo Boss

Once you have access to the Lunar Shrine, your next objective is to defeat 50 Rogue Demons. Keep farming Rogue Demons until you reach the required total. After completing this requirement, the Kokushibo boss can spawn.

The Kokushibo fight is the final major step in the process. Defeat the boss and farm its drops to obtain the items required for the Kokushibo-related rewards. The Demon Forest Island area is also useful for farming because you can spawn the boss there and repeatedly fight it. Auto spawn can make the process much easier if you are planning to farm several times.

How to Get the Moonborn Race

The update also introduces the Moonborn race. If you want to try getting this race, you need to use a Moon Crescent for a chance at obtaining it.

Because the result is chance-based, you may need to farm multiple times before getting the race you want. Make sure you have enough of the required items before attempting several rolls.

The seller NPC can be found around the relevant Demon Forest and Lunar Shrine area, making it relatively easy to return and continue your attempts after farming.

How to Upgrade Weapons and Specs

Another feature worth checking after returning to Reign Piece is the enchant and blacksmith system. The Blacksmith NPC can be found in the Royal Palace. This system allows you to improve your weapons and specs using different types of Embers.

Embers are important materials for upgrading your equipment. Different Ember types come from different sources, so you will need to farm the appropriate content depending on which upgrade you are trying to make.

Upgrading your weapons and specs is worth doing before tackling harder bosses. A stronger build can make repeated farming much faster, especially when you are trying to complete requirements that involve defeating dozens or hundreds of enemies.

Kokushibo Spec Showcase

One of the biggest reasons players are interested in the new update is the Kokushibo spec itself. Visually, the new spec has received a much stronger presentation compared to some of the previous additions.

The VFX and animations stand out, with several attacks using effects that fit Kokushibo’s theme. The overall presentation is one of the stronger parts of the update.

At the moment, the main downside is the lack of sound effects for the moves. This appears to be related to an issue with the sound production rather than the actual abilities themselves. Even without the sound effects, the animations and visual effects make Kokushibo one of the more impressive specs added to Reign Piece.

Is Kokushibo Worth Getting?

If you enjoy collecting powerful specs or simply want one of the better-looking additions in Reign Piece, Kokushibo is worth farming for.

The questline itself is not particularly complicated. Most of the difficulty comes from the amount of time required to defeat demons, farm Yoriichi, collect Sun Crescents, and eventually defeat Rogue Demons to spawn Kokushibo.

The good thing is that much of the progression can be handled through repeated farming. Once you understand the requirements, you can focus on making the process as efficient as possible with a strong build and, when possible, auto spawn.

Reign Piece has added enough new content to make the game feel different from its older versions. The Kokushibo update is especially noticeable because it introduces a full questline, a new boss, the Moonborn race, and a visually impressive spec.

The requirements are mostly straightforward, so the main thing you need is patience. Start by completing the Demon Forest questline, farm Yoriichi for Sun Crescents, unlock the Lunar Shrine, and then work toward spawning Kokushibo.

Once you have the required gear and materials, the grind becomes much easier. The Blacksmith system is also worth using because upgrading your weapons and specs can make future farming much faster. Overall, Kokushibo is one of the more interesting additions to Reign Piece, especially if you care about flashy animations and VFX.
