Data Coins are an important currency in Survive the Apocalypse. They are mainly used to unlock the Hacker Class and purchase different rewards related to this class. If you want to unlock everything available from the Hacker update, you will need to collect quite a lot of Data Coins. There are two main ways to earn them. The first is through Daily Quests, while the second requires you to complete the Mansion raid and survive until the end of the game.
1. Get Data Coins From Daily Quests
The easiest way to earn Data Coins is by completing your Daily Quests. These quests are available regularly and provide a simple way to build up your Data Coin balance without having to enter the dangerous Mansion raid.
You can earn up to 60 Data Coins per day from Daily Quests. After completing your available quests, check whether the quest refresh option is available. If you can refresh them, you may have another opportunity to complete additional quests and earn more Data Coins.
For this reason, Daily Quests should be one of the first things you complete whenever you play. They are much safer than the Mansion method and can slowly build up your currency over time.
2. Raid the Mansion for 100 Data Coins
The other major way to obtain Data Coins is by completing the Mansion raid. This method gives you a pouch containing 100 Data Coins, but getting the reward is much harder than completing Daily Quests.
The Mansion opens roughly once every 3 hours. When it is closed, a timer appears on the screen showing when it will become available again.
Because the Mansion is filled with powerful enemies, make sure you are properly prepared before entering. Bring strong weapons, plenty of ammunition, armor, healing items, and enough supplies to survive the rest of the game.
3. How to Find the Mansion
Finding the Mansion can be tricky if you do not know where to look. The building can generally be found around a small neighborhood area, with the Mansion located around the middle of it.
Instead of randomly exploring the entire map, look for smaller residential areas and check around their center. Once you locate the neighborhood, search for the Mansion nearby.
Keep an eye on the opening timer as well. Other players can also attempt the raid, so you should be ready to enter once the Mansion becomes available.
4. Prepare Before Entering the Mansion
The Mansion is not an easy area, especially if your character is not properly equipped. There are several powerful enemies inside, including different types of Hacker Zombies and stronger enemies that can deal heavy damage.
Before entering, make sure you have:
- A strong weapon.
- Plenty of ammunition.
- Good armor.
- Healing items.
- Enough food and survival supplies.
- A class with useful combat or defensive abilities.
- Enough resources to survive after leaving the Mansion.
Do not rush directly into the middle of the building. The enemies can overwhelm you very quickly, even when you have strong equipment.
5. Defeat the Zombies and Get the Keycard
Once you enter the Mansion, start clearing the enemies inside. You will encounter Hacker Zombies, stronger zombie variants, and other enemies guarding different areas of the building.
Some zombies can drop a Keycard when defeated. You need this Keycard to access certain parts of the Mansion.
Take your time while clearing the building and check the loot dropped by enemies. Once you have the required Keycard, use it on the appropriate access point and continue deeper into the Mansion.
6. Fight the Hacker Boss
Eventually, you will reach the main Hacker Boss. This is one of the most difficult parts of the entire raid because the boss has a large amount of health.
Make sure you save enough ammunition for this fight. Using all of your bullets against regular enemies can leave you in a difficult position when the boss appears.
Try to maintain some distance and avoid standing directly in front of the boss for too long. Keep moving when necessary and attack whenever you have a safe opportunity.
The boss can take a lot of damage before going down, so patience is important. Once the Hacker Boss is defeated, the Mansion will be cleared.
7. Collect the 100 Data Coin Pouch
After clearing the Mansion, you will receive a pouch containing 100 Data Coins.
However, there is an important part of the system that you need to understand. Getting the pouch does not immediately add the 100 Data Coins to your account.
You still need to complete the escape requirement.
Simply returning to your base is not enough to claim the reward. You must successfully finish the game while carrying the Data Coin pouch.
8. Survive Until Day 100
This is what makes the Mansion method much more difficult.
After collecting the 100 Data Coin pouch, you need to survive until Day 100 and beat the game. If you find the Mansion early, you still have to survive all the remaining days before the reward is secured.
For example, if you clear the Mansion on Day 2, you still have to survive another 98 days before completing the game.
Because of this, getting 100 Data Coins from the Mansion is more of a long-term challenge rather than a quick farming method.
Tips for Farming Data Coins
If you want to collect Data Coins efficiently, keep these tips in mind:
- Complete your Daily Quests every day.
- Try to earn the maximum 60 Daily Quest Data Coins.
- Watch the Mansion opening timer.
- Search for the Mansion around small neighborhood areas.
- Bring powerful weapons before starting the raid.
- Carry plenty of ammunition.
- Bring healing items and enough food.
- Defeat zombies and look for Keycards.
- Save ammunition for the Hacker Boss.
- Avoid rushing into large groups of enemies.
- Use a class with strong defensive or survival abilities.
- Once you obtain the Data Coin pouch, prioritize survival.
- Keep your hunger and other survival needs under control.
- Remember that you need to reach Day 100 to secure the Mansion reward.
Why You Should Collect Data Coins
Data Coins are especially valuable if you are working toward unlocking the Hacker Class. The class comes with its own set of rewards, making the currency useful for players who want to experience everything from the Hacker content.
For newer players, Daily Quests are the safest option because they provide a steady amount of Data Coins without putting your run at major risk.
The Mansion is more rewarding in a single run, but it also comes with a much bigger risk. You need to clear a difficult location and then survive until Day 100 before the 100 Data Coins are finally secured.
Getting Data Coins in Survive the Apocalypse can be done mainly through Daily Quests and the Mansion raid. Daily Quests are the easiest method and can provide up to 60 Data Coins per day, making them ideal for consistent farming.
The Mansion can give you a 100 Data Coin pouch, but the reward comes with a major requirement. After clearing the Mansion, you must successfully survive until Day 100 and beat the game to claim the coins.
If you want to build up your Data Coin balance safely, complete your Daily Quests whenever possible. Once you have strong enough equipment and a reliable survival setup, start attempting the Mansion raid for the larger 100 Data Coin reward.
