Astral Matthew’s Quest is one of the main quests from the Astral Update in Fisch Roblox. Completing the entire questline rewards you with the Meteoric Rod, a powerful fishing rod with high Luck and a unique meteor-based passive. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!
The quest is split into two parts. The first part requires several special items and mutated catches, while the second part takes you through meteor mining, hidden fishing locations, mutation farming, and gemstone collection. Here is the complete route to finish the quest without missing the required items.
Astral Matthew Quest Location
To start the quest, travel to Northern Expedition and make your way toward the higher areas of the region.
Look for Astral Matthew and talk to him to begin the questline. It is recommended to prepare your Rod, bait, Totems, and Pickaxe before starting because several objectives require specific conditions.
The quest has:
- Quest Part 1: 3 objectives
- Quest Part 2: 4 objectives
- Final Reward: Meteoric Rod
Astral Matthew Quest Part 1
The first part requires three items:
- 1 Cosmic Relic
- 1 Moonstone
- 1 Solar Blaze or Nova Frozen Walnut
You need to collect all three before returning to Astral Matthew.
How to Get Cosmic Relic
The Cosmic Relic can be obtained during a Meteor Shower.
First, travel to Northern Expedition and use a Starfall Totem. Once the Meteor Shower begins, watch the surrounding area for a meteor impact.
A pink beam will appear where the meteor lands, making the location easier to spot from a distance.
Follow these steps:
- Go to Northern Expedition.
- Use a Starfall Totem.
- Wait for a meteor to fall.
- Look for the pink beam.
- Travel to the impact location.
- Pick up the Cosmic Relic.
Once the Cosmic Relic is added to your quest progress, move on to the Moonstone.
How to Get Moonstone
Moonstone is easier to obtain because it does not require fishing in a specific location.
You can get Moonstone from several sources:
- Aquarium
- Meteor Totem events
- Daily Shop when available
If you already have one from your Aquarium, you can use it for the quest without farming another.
How to Get Solar Blaze or Nova Frozen Walnut
The third objective requires either Solar Blaze or Nova Frozen Walnut.
For this part, head to Overgrowth Canal and prepare a Cerulean Fang Rod with Starlight Worm Bait.
For Solar Blaze, fish while the Eclipse event is active. Rods such as Fan of the Eclipse can be useful, while Wicked Fang Rod can also provide a chance to obtain the required mutation.
For Nova Frozen Walnut, fish while Starfall is active using the Cerulean Fang and Starlight Worm Bait.
You only need one of the two required catches. Once you have it, return to Astral Matthew and start the second part of the quest.
Astral Matthew Quest Part 2
The second part is considerably longer. You need to complete four objectives:
- Destroy 10 Fallen Meteors.
- Get 1 Quartz Glass.
- Get 5 Solar Blaze Stalactite.
- Collect Ruby, Amethyst, Opal, Lapis Lazuli, and Moonstone.
Once everything is completed, Astral Matthew will reward you with the Meteoric Rod.
How to Destroy 10 Fallen Meteors
For the first objective, you need to destroy 10 Fallen Meteors around Northern Expedition.
Make sure you have a Pickaxe before starting.
Fallen Meteors are relatively easy to identify because they have a blue, star-like visual effect. Once you find one, approach it and use your Pickaxe to break it.
A useful route is to start from the upper part of Northern Expedition and work your way downward. This can save time compared with randomly searching around the island.
Your steps are:
- Get a Pickaxe.
- Search Northern Expedition for Fallen Meteors.
- Look for their blue star effect.
- Approach a meteor.
- Break it with your Pickaxe.
- Repeat until you destroy 10.
- Check the quest tracker to confirm the objective.
How to Get Quartz Glass
Quartz Glass is one of the more difficult objectives because it requires you to find a hidden fishing area.
Travel to Cryogenic Canal and look for the large bridge structure. You need to move underneath the bridge and descend toward the bottom area.
Look for a dark entrance that leads into the hidden cavern. Enter it to reach Cryogenic Canal Stone Cavern.
Once inside, start fishing for Quartz Glass.
For better chances, use:
- Magnet Bait
- Foggy weather
Quartz Glass has a high rarity, so you may need multiple catches before obtaining it.
After the item appears in your quest progress, you can leave the cavern and continue with the next objective.
How to Get 5 Solar Blaze Stalactite
The next objective requires five Solar Blaze Stalactite.
The important part is that normal Stalactite catches are not enough. You need the Solar Blaze mutation.
For this farming method, prepare:
- Wicked Fang Rod
- Garbage Bait
- Eclipse event
Crimson Cave is one of the main areas you can use for this farming, with Tidefall serving as another option.
Because you need five mutated catches, this objective can take some time. Keep fishing until all five Solar Blaze Stalactite are registered by the quest tracker.
How to Get the Five Gemstones
The final objective requires five different gemstones:
- Ruby
- Amethyst
- Opal
- Lapis Lazuli
- Moonstone
One of the main ways to farm these gemstones is through Meteor Totem events at Ancient Isle.
Use Meteor Totems and collect the gemstones until you have all five required types. Some gemstones can also be obtained through the Aquarium, so check your existing collection before spending time farming them.
Moonstone can be one of the more annoying gemstones to complete, so do not worry if you need several Meteor Totem attempts.
Once all five gemstones are registered, the final quest objective should be complete.
How to Get the Meteoric Rod
After completing all seven objectives from both parts of the Astral Matthew quest, return to Astral Matthew at Northern Expedition.
Before traveling back, check your quest tracker and make sure every objective has been completed. This is important because returning too early can result in another trip if one item was not properly registered.
Talk to Astral Matthew after everything is complete to receive the Meteoric Rod.
Meteoric Rod Stats
The Meteoric Rod has strong stats, particularly for players looking for more Luck.
Its listed stats are:
- Lure Speed: 75%
- Luck: 175%
- Control: 0.05 (+5%)
- Resilience: 25%
- Max Kg: 550,000 kg
- Cragged Mutation: 20% chance
- Cragged Multiplier: 7x
The 175% Luck is one of the main reasons the rod is worth getting, especially for players who are farming rare fish and specific catches.
Meteoric Rod Passive
The Meteoric Rod also has a unique passive that changes the fishing minigame.
Approximately every 4 to 6.5 seconds, a meteor can appear during the fishing process. A maximum of five meteors can appear during a single catch.
You need to avoid these meteors.
Successfully avoiding a meteor gives:
- +10% Progress
However, if a meteor hits the Control Bar, you can lose:
- -15% Progress
Because of this mechanic, using the Meteoric Rod requires more attention than a normal fishing rod. You need to manage the fish while also watching for incoming meteors.

The Astral Matthew Quest is a long but worthwhile questline in Fisch if you want to unlock the Meteoric Rod. The first section requires a Cosmic Relic, Moonstone, and either Solar Blaze or Nova Frozen Walnut. The second section then sends you to destroy 10 Fallen Meteors, find Quartz Glass, collect five Solar Blaze Stalactite, and gather five different gemstones.
The biggest time-saving tip is to prepare your Rods, bait, Totems, and Pickaxe before starting. Once everything is ready, you can move from one objective to the next without making unnecessary trips.
After completing the full quest and returning to Astral Matthew, you will receive the Meteoric Rod with 175% Luck, 75% Lure Speed, 25% Resilience, and a 550,000 kg maximum weight, along with its unique meteor passive.
