Forsaken is preparing for another major update, and there is already a lot of information about what is coming next. The upcoming Summer Games event is expected to arrive soon, while several characters, skins, maps, game modes, and quality-of-life features are also being worked on. The developers have also shared details through a recent Q&A, giving players a better idea of Forsaken’s future. Here is a simplified breakdown of the biggest Forsaken news and upcoming content.

Forsaken Summer Games Update Release Date

The next major Forsaken update will be the Summer Games event. The event is expected to follow a similar idea to the previous Halloween and Christmas events, but the developers want the experience to feel more enjoyable and engaging.

The Summer Games event has been confirmed for August. Based on the information provided, the update could arrive around August 22 or August 29, although the exact release date should be treated as unconfirmed until the developers announce it officially. The event is also expected to include a redesigned summer-themed lobby with:

  • Sand around the area
  • Palm trees
  • A summer-style cabin
  • New event characters or guests
  • Special event content

A teaser has already shown two mysterious characters connected to the event, suggesting that the Summer Games update could contain more than just a simple seasonal map change.

007n7 Is Getting a Full Rework

One of the biggest character changes coming to Forsaken is the complete rework of 007n7. This is not expected to be a simple balance adjustment. Instead, the developers have confirmed that 007n7 will receive an entirely new kit with different abilities. That means his current abilities, including:

  • Clone
  • Cool GUI
  • Inject

are expected to be replaced or significantly changed.

The rework should give 007n7 a completely different playstyle rather than simply increasing or decreasing the numbers on his existing abilities. This could make the character much more useful for players who currently find his kit underwhelming.

Guest 1337 Golden Skin Confirmed

The next Golden Skin has also been confirmed, and it belongs to Guest 1337. Golden Skins are some of the more expensive cosmetics in Forsaken, so players interested in collecting them should start saving their Money. Guest 1337’s Golden Skin is still being worked on, meaning its current appearance could change before release.

The developers have also confirmed that Builderman and Elliot will receive Golden Skins in the future. This means players looking to collect all of them may eventually need around 300,000 Money or more. Golden skins for killers are also being developed, so the system will not remain limited to survivors.

VIP Schletzky Skin and Who Wins Emote

A new VIP Schletzky design has been shown, and it is planned as a reward for players who own the VIP Game Pass. The Who Wins emote is also receiving new music. Both pieces of content are connected to VIP, giving owners of the pass some additional cosmetic content to use in the game.

The early Schletzky concept looks different from the normal character and appears to have received extra attention from the development team.

Weather John Doe Skin

Forsaken Summer Update News: Release Date, Golden Skins, 007n7 Rework and More

Another upcoming cosmetic is a new Weather John Doe skin.

Only concept material has been shown so far, so the final version could still change. The design appears to have a more unusual appearance compared to standard John Doe cosmetics.

The skin is also expected to be more expensive, although the final price has not been confirmed.

New Slasher Community Skin

A new community-made Slasher skin is also being teased.

The developers have been putting more attention into community skins, and the new Slasher cosmetic appears to continue that trend. Details about its exact release date and price have not been revealed yet.

There are also additional Slasher-related teasers, although some of them are still too vague to determine exactly which character or skin they represent.

New Accessibility Settings

Forsaken is also adding a warning screen for players when they enter the game.

The warning will inform players about things such as:

  • Flashing lights
  • Photosensitive effects
  • Sound effects
  • Music

Players will also have options to adjust their experience, including sensitive music and SFX settings.

This is a useful addition for players who are sensitive to flashing visuals or loud audio, and it gives players more control over how they experience Forsaken.

Azure Will Receive More Changes

Azure is getting a buff in the upcoming update. The exact changes are not fully detailed yet, but the character is already considered strong by many players.

The developers have also discussed another future Azure ability that could make tracking enemies easier. It has been described as something similar to an X-ray effect, although it may not technically be an X-ray ability.

Azure will also receive custom milestone animations in the future.

Builderman Milestones Are Being Reworked

Builderman’s milestone rewards are still being remade.

A teaser for the milestone rework was shown more than a year ago, and development is apparently still continuing. This suggests the team wants to make the milestone system more interesting before releasing the new versions.

Charlotte’s Key milestone skins may also receive some smaller adjustments, but they are not expected to be completely redesigned.

Ringmaster Will Be Beginner Friendly

Ringmaster is another upcoming survivor, and the developers have explained that the character will not have an overly complicated kit.

There will be one ability that may take some time for players to understand, but the overall design is supposed to remain relatively simple.

This means Ringmaster should be a good choice for newer players who want to learn a new survivor without dealing with a highly complicated set of mechanics.

More Frequent Patch Updates

After the Azure Wrath update, the development team plans to release smaller patch updates roughly every two to three weeks.

The goal is to prevent long periods without new content. Instead of waiting for another massive update, players should receive smaller changes more regularly.

This could include:

  • Balance changes
  • Bug fixes
  • New cosmetics
  • Gameplay adjustments
  • Small features
  • Quality-of-life improvements

Extermination Mode Will Return

The Extermination game mode is planned to return to private servers.

However, it will reportedly come back after the other game modes have been added. Once those modes are available, Extermination should eventually become playable again in private servers.

More Achievements Are Coming

Forsaken’s achievement system will be expanded in the future.

The developers want to add more achievements and give the system more purpose. This could provide collectors with additional goals outside normal matches.

There is also a planned Delta Ruin Man Easter egg that will eventually be hidden somewhere behind a tree in Forsaken.

New Roadmap Coming Soon

A new Forsaken roadmap is planned after the current roadmap is completed.

The roadmap is useful because it gives players an idea of which characters and content are being developed next. The current roadmap has already revealed characters such as Jane Doe, Azure, Ringmaster, and Stalker.

Once the current roadmap is finished, players can expect another roadmap showing more future content.

Spectre Will Have a Bigger Role

Spectre is expected to become more important in Forsaken’s future lore.

The developers have also provided some interesting information about Spectre’s realm, although much of the lore remains unclear. More story-focused content could eventually explain Spectre’s connection to the different worlds within Forsaken.

Private Server Command Panel Rework

The command panel used in private servers is also planned to receive a rework.

The current version can feel messy to use, especially for players who regularly host custom matches. A redesigned interface should make the available commands easier to understand and manage.

A gamma or saturation slider may also be added in the future, which could help players see better on darker maps.

New Tutorial for Beginners

Forsaken will eventually receive a proper tutorial.

This should be especially helpful for new players because the game has several mechanics that are not immediately obvious when you first start playing.

A tutorial could explain:

  • Survivor objectives
  • Killer mechanics
  • Abilities
  • Generators
  • Items
  • Match progression
  • Other important gameplay systems

A tutorial reward, such as a free cosmetic, could also make the feature more appealing, although that has not been confirmed.

More Map Events Are Planned

Future Forsaken maps could contain small interactive events.

The Roblox HQ map already provides an example of this concept, with environmental elements that can damage players. The developers want to add similar map-specific events elsewhere.

This could make maps feel less static and give players more reasons to pay attention to their surroundings.

Malice System Changes

The Malice system is also planned for adjustments.

Malice gained from simply working on generators is expected to be reduced, while Malice gained from helping teammates will be increased.

The goal is to encourage players to support their team instead of focusing entirely on generator rushing.

This could make survivor gameplay more cooperative and give different actions greater importance during a match.

More Lore-Focused Maps

Forsaken is planning additional maps based around individual killers and their stories.

There are already examples such as Blood Full Manor for Nosferatu and the Tempest for Noli. Future killers should receive similar environments that provide more information about their background.

1x is also expected to receive a dedicated map eventually.

Forsaken Could Leave Alpha Soon

One of the biggest long-term announcements is that Forsaken may leave alpha soon.

The current expectation is that this could happen after Stalker and Ringmaster are released. Leaving alpha would represent a major milestone for the game and could mark the transition toward a more finalized version.

There is still no exact date for when this will happen.

More Objectives Beyond Generators

The developers are considering additional objectives that go beyond the traditional generator system.

Some future objectives could even change parts of the map while the match is happening. This could make rounds less predictable and prevent every match from following exactly the same pattern.

The team has also said that making Forsaken more fun and engaging is currently one of its main priorities.

Ranked Servers Are Being Planned

A developer is reportedly working on something for ranked servers.

One planned idea involves preventing duplicate survivors, meaning every survivor in a ranked match would need to be different.

This could make team compositions more varied while also making it easier to balance killer gameplay against coordinated survivor teams.

Guest 145A Is Still Coming

Guest 145A remains planned for a future release.

However, Guest 145A will not have an LMS theme with Guest 1337. Guest 1337 is already confirmed to receive an LMS with Slasher.

This confirms that Guest 145A has not been cancelled despite not being part of that specific LMS matchup.

Slenderman, Jeff the Killer, and Area 51

Slenderman and Jeff the Killer are planned for a future update, and the Area 51 map is expected to arrive alongside them.

This suggests that both killers could be introduced as part of one large content update.

Area 51 should provide a fitting setting for the two characters and could become one of the more notable future maps.

Stalker Will Get a Classic Skin

The Stalker killer is planned to receive a skin based on the original Stalker Reborn design.

This gives players a way to use a more classic version of the character while keeping the newer version available.

The developers have also confirmed that Stalker is still in development and will remain part of the game’s upcoming content.

Badlands Map Is Still Coming

The Badlands map is still planned for Doombringer.

However, the previously shown version has been scrapped. The development team intends to completely rework both the map and its lore.

Although the original design will not be used, the important part is that Badlands itself has not been cancelled.

Halloween Content Is Already Being Developed

Forsaken’s next Halloween event is already being prepared.

Halloween killer skins are currently being worked on, which means the development team is planning seasonal content well ahead of the event.

This suggests another major seasonal update could arrive later in the year following the Summer Games event.

Retro Tower Defense Collaboration

Forsaken is also getting a collaboration with Retro Tower Defense. The collaboration is scheduled for August 21, and players will reportedly need to play the other game and complete certain requirements to unlock free Forsaken skins.

For collectors, it is worth keeping an eye on the collaboration when it launches because these crossover rewards may only be available for a limited period.

Forsaken has a large amount of content in development, and the Summer Games event is only one part of the upcoming plans. The biggest immediate changes include the Summer Games update, the complete 007n7 rework, new Golden Skins, VIP cosmetics, accessibility settings, and additional balance changes.

Beyond the next update, the developers are also working on new maps, killers, survivors, objectives, achievements, tutorials, ranked servers, seasonal events, and collaborations. With Forsaken potentially leaving alpha after Stalker and Ringmaster arrive, the game appears to be moving toward a much larger next stage of development. For now, players should keep an eye on the Summer Games event and start saving their Money if they plan to collect the upcoming Golden Skins.
