The Stella Wave Melody Rod is one of the rods in Fisch that has a restriction you need to remove before you can use its full potential. To unlock the unrestricted version, you need to complete a special set of fishing requirements and finish the Final Convergence objective. The process takes some time because you need to catch specific fish with certain mutations, but knowing the requirements beforehand makes the grind much easier.

Catch the Sparkling Aurora Ice Snake
Your first requirement is to catch a Sparkling Aurora Ice Snake. For this part, make sure you use the Stella Wave Melody Rod with Truffle Worm as your bait. You also need to fish inside a Whirlpool while Rainbow is active. The important requirements are:
- Stella Wave Melody Rod
- Truffle Worm
- Whirlpool
- Rainbow weather
- Sparkling Aurora Ice Snake
Keep fishing until you successfully catch the required Ice Snake.
Activate All Astral Anomalies
After getting the Sparkling Aurora Ice Snake, the next step is to activate every Astral Anomaly. You will need to prepare the correct lenses and charge the required batteries before activating the telescopes. There are five telescopes that need to be activated. Make sure you complete all five before moving on. Missing one telescope will prevent you from finishing the full requirement.
Catch the Required Fish
The biggest part of the Stella Wave Melody restriction quest is catching a specific collection of fish. You need to obtain all of the following:
- Boreal Man-o’-War
- Goliath Cifer
- Shimmering Silverside
- Lionfish
- Scorpio Fish
- Starlet Seahorse
- King Crab
- Frigid Antler
- Broken Arrow
- Bull Shark
- Largemouth Bass
However, simply catching these fish is not enough.
Get Cosmic Mutations
Every fish listed above needs to have at least one required cosmic mutation. The accepted mutations are:
- Nova
- Umbra
- Celestial
- Aurora
This means you need to collect the complete fish set while also making sure every fish has one of the required mutations. This is likely to be the longest part of the process because you cannot simply catch the fish normally and finish the quest. You need to keep fishing until you have the correct mutated versions.
Complete Final Convergence
Once you have everything required, return to the NPC connected to the Stella Wave Melody quest. Talk to the NPC and complete Final Convergence. If all of the requirements have been completed correctly, the restriction will be removed from your Stella Wave Melody Rod. You will then receive the unrestricted Stella Wave Melody.
Unrestricted Stella Wave Melody Stats
The unrestricted version has the following stats:
- Lure Speed: 88%
- Luck: 244%
- Control: 0.1
- Resilience: 30%
- Max KG: Infinite
- Progress Speed: +24%
The infinite max KG is one of the most useful parts of the rod, while the high Luck and additional Progress Speed also make it a strong option for fishing.
Stella Wave Melody Special Mechanic
The rod also comes with a special visual mechanic involving stars, constellations, and zodiac symbols. While fishing, different zodiac symbols can appear. One example is Aries. When the symbols appear, you can click them in the correct order to fill the meter. Successfully completing the sequence helps activate the rod’s special fishing mechanic. Because of this, the Stella Wave Melody is not only about its stats. Its fishing mechanic also gives it a unique feel compared with standard rods.
Removing the restriction from the Stella Wave Melody Rod in Fisch is mainly a matter of completing several long fishing requirements. The Sparkling Aurora Ice Snake and Astral Anomaly objectives are only the beginning, with the biggest grind coming from collecting all 12 required fish with the correct cosmic mutations. Once you finish Final Convergence, the restriction is removed and you can use the unrestricted Stella Wave Melody with 244% Luck, 88% Lure Speed, 30% Resilience, infinite Max KG, and an additional 24% Progress Speed.
