10+ RE:AOPG Beginner Guide: How to Progress From Beginner to Endgame

RE:AOPG can feel confusing when you first start playing because there are many systems to learn, including quests, Fruits, Haki, races, fighting styles, swords, raids, and accessories. If you spend your Gems and Beli on the wrong items early on, your progression can become much slower.

The easiest way to progress is to follow a clear order. Start by using every available code, upgrade your quest capacity, get your early equipment, obtain Dark Fruit, farm stats, and then move into the Second Sea. After that, you can focus on stronger Haki, weapons, fighting styles, raids, and endgame accessories.

Redeem All Codes and the Group Reward First

The first thing you should do after entering RE:AOPG is redeem every available code. Codes can give you a large amount of Beli, Gems, Poneglyphs, inventory space, XP Tickets, Luck boosts, and other useful rewards.

The rewards mentioned in the guide include:

• Up to hundreds of millions of Beli.
• Thousands of Gems from multiple codes.
• Poneglyphs for increasing your Gem storage limit.
• Additional inventory space.
• XP Tickets.
• 2x Luck for a limited period.
• Title Spins.
• Extra Beli and Gems from the Group Reward.

You should also join the game’s official group and claim the Group Reward. The reward mentioned in the guide includes around 15,000 Gems, 30 Title Spins, and 500,000 Beli. This starting boost is extremely useful because it gives you enough resources to purchase several important upgrades without spending hours farming at the beginning.

Increase Your Quest Slots Early

Once you have collected your starting rewards, return to the Starter Island and look for the NPC that allows you to increase your quest capacity.

Increasing your quest slots should be one of your first priorities. Having more quests active at the same time makes farming much more efficient because you can complete several objectives during the same grinding session.

The goal is to eventually have around five active quests if you can afford the upgrades. You may need to use the quest items from your inventory one at a time, but the extra slots are worth getting.

Buy the Ignous Helmet and Stone Gauntlets

After upgrading your quest capacity, spend your Gems on useful early-game equipment.

The two items recommended in the guide are:

• Ignous Helmet
• Stone Gauntlets

You can find these items in the Gem Shop. They are much more useful for early progression than spending your Gems on random items that do not directly improve your build.

These pieces give you additional stats and make it easier to defeat NPCs while you work toward stronger equipment.

Get Black Leg Fighting Style

Your next goal should be obtaining the Black Leg fighting style on Starter Island.

Black Leg is particularly useful for beginners because it gives you another source of damage without requiring you to depend entirely on your Fruit.

The first version costs around 500,000 Beli. After equipping it, you can return to the NPC and purchase the upgraded version for around 20 million Beli.

The upgraded version provides roughly a 20% global damage buff, making it a worthwhile investment during the early stages of the game.

Buy the Island Tracker

Another important purchase on Starter Island is the Island Tracker.

You can find the NPC near the Bandit Leader area. The Island Tracker lets you select islands and gives you an arrow showing which direction you need to travel.

This is especially useful if you are new to RE:AOPG because the map can be difficult to navigate. You will use it repeatedly when searching for islands, quest NPCs, trainers, and farming locations.

Some of the places you will eventually need to find include:

• Rogue Town
• Drum Island
• New Alabasta
• Pirate Paradise
• Ruin Kingdom
• Outlaw Island
• Solo Prison
• Skull Island

Get Dark Fruit

Once your basic setup is ready, one of your biggest priorities should be getting Dark Fruit.

Dark is recommended because it has strong AoE abilities, making it very useful for farming groups of NPCs. After obtaining it, you should work toward awakening it.

The guide mentions that awakening Dark costs around 18,000 Gems, which is affordable if you used the starting codes.

You do not necessarily need to unlock every awakening immediately. If your main goal is farming and movement, prioritizing the F Move awakening can already be useful.

Find Rogue Town Using the Island Tracker

Use your Island Tracker to locate Rogue Town. Once you arrive, look for the Fruit-related NPC.

If you roll several Fruits that you do not need, you can clean up your inventory and keep the ones that are actually useful for your build.

Dark should be your main choice for grinding. However, Okuchi is another Fruit worth keeping if you manage to obtain it, especially because it can perform well for beginners and offers strong damage.

Once you have Dark, continue working on its awakening so you can take advantage of its large AoE attacks.

Farm Beli at Drum Island

If you still need more Beli, head to Drum Island.

The NPCs there provide a huge amount of Beli compared with early-game enemies. The guide mentions around 10 billion Beli per NPC, while a 2x Beli event can increase that to approximately 20 billion.

The basic farming process is:

1. Travel to Drum Island.
2. Accept the appropriate quests.
3. Enable Auto Fill Quest Slots if the option is available.
4. Defeat the required NPCs.
5. Use Dark or another Fruit with strong AoE.
6. Repeat until you have enough Beli.

This gives you enough money to continue rolling for Fruits and purchasing other progression items.

Increase Your Gem Cap With Poneglyphs

Poneglyphs are important because they can be used to increase your maximum Gem capacity.

After collecting Poneglyphs from codes and other activities, travel to New Alabasta and find the Poneglyph Merchant.

Use your Poneglyphs to increase your Gem Cap. The guide recommends aiming for around 110,000 Gem capacity early on.

Having a higher Gem limit becomes increasingly important as you start farming large amounts of Gems later in the game.

Get Haki

Haki is one of the most important systems in RE:AOPG, so you should start working on it once your basic build is ready.

The main types you should pay attention to include:

• Armament Haki
• Observation Haki
• Conqueror’s Haki
• King’s Haki

Armament and Observation are easier to work toward, while Conqueror’s Haki can take much longer because of its low acquisition chance.

Do not be surprised if Conqueror’s Haki takes many attempts. The guide mentions that some players can get it quickly while others may need to farm for a very long time.

Farm Stats at Ice Island

Once your basic equipment and Fruit are ready, start farming your stats.

Ice Island is recommended as one of the best locations for early stat farming. Make sure you accept the second quest because its targets are closer to the farming area.

Dark V2 is particularly effective here because of its large AoE.

Your first major target should be around 1,000 stats in each category. Once you reach this point, you can start preparing for the Second Sea.

Enter the Second Sea

Before entering the Second Sea, you need to complete the required progression.

One important requirement is the Law Raid. The raid is located at Teleport Island and consists of around 30 waves.

With Dark V2 and a reasonably strong build, the raid can be completed solo. Once you have cleared the required content, head to the appropriate NPC at Dawn Island to travel to the Second Sea.

Dawn Island can also be used as a way to travel between different seas once you unlock the required versions.

Farm Solo Prison in the Second Sea

Once you reach the Second Sea, your next major farming location is Solo Prison.

This area provides a large amount of EXP, allowing you to increase your stats much faster than before.

The guide estimates that you can go from around 1,000 stats to 12,000 stats in roughly 32 minutes, depending on your build and farming speed.

If your character is not strong enough to tank the NPCs, find a safe elevated position. You can then use Dark V2’s AoE skills to clear the enemies without constantly taking damage.

Start Building a Stronger Damage Setup

After reaching higher stats, you can finally start working toward a proper damage build.

At this stage, Okuchi becomes a good Fruit to consider because of its strong damage output.

You can also begin farming Gems through raids. These Gems can then be used for:

• Fruit rolls.
• Race rolls.
• Equipment.
• Awakening.
• Other progression requirements.

At this point, your goal should shift from simply leveling up toward building a character capable of clearing harder content.

Get Wukong Fighting Style

Wukong is another strong option for players who want to increase their damage.

The guide recommends maximizing Wukong’s damage through its scrolls, particularly the setup involving the Y Move. With the appropriate setup, the buff can reach around 2.63x.

Wukong can be a strong fighting style to use while you work toward more advanced styles and support abilities.

Start Farming Artifacts

Once you can comfortably clear raids, you should also begin working toward Artifacts.

The Summer Raid is one source of Artifact Chests. Running the raid multiple times gives you opportunities to obtain useful Artifact equipment.

Artifacts become more important as you start optimizing your build because they can provide additional bonuses that help with damage and overall performance.

Get Twilight or Zangetsu

When your stats are high enough, you can start working on stronger swords.

Two options mentioned in the guide are:

• Twilight
• Zangetsu

For Twilight, talk to Dio at Rogue Island to begin the questline. The requirements include progressing toward the Strongest Swordsman objective and completing the required Mihawk content.

For Zangetsu, you first need to obtain the sword from its associated boss. The base sword has around a 5% drop chance.

After getting the sword, additional requirements are needed to unlock its abilities. This includes collecting Souls and a Mask. Souls have a chance to spawn periodically, so completing this part can take some time.

Get a Strong Support Style

After improving your main damage sources, start working on a support style.

Some of the options mentioned in the guide include:

• Goku Support Style
• Reincarnated Slime
• World Above Heaven
• Toji
• Demon Slayer

Reincarnated Slime is recommended over Toji for certain setups. World Above Heaven can also be used as part of a stronger late-game build.

Some of these options require you to travel to Multiverse content, so your Island Tracker will continue to be useful.

Upgrade Your Haki

Once your stats and build are strong enough, continue upgrading your Haki.

Armament Haki V2

Armament Haki V2 requires you to complete a series of NPC objectives. Some of the targets are located around areas such as Pirate Paradise and Outlaw Island.

The main problem is that some NPCs have slow respawn times. This can make the quest feel much longer than expected.

Dark V2 is extremely useful for this process:

• Find a safe farming position.
• Activate your strongest AoE skill.
• Enable auto skills if available.
• Defeat the required NPCs.
• Wait for them to respawn.
• Repeat until the quest is complete.

Observation Haki V2

Observation Haki V2 has its own questline and requires you to defeat NPCs around Ruin Kingdom and other areas.

Some parts of the quest provide location markers, while others require you to search for the NPCs yourself.

One of the later sections involves Judicial Foyer. Some NPCs there have relatively long respawn times, so this can be another slow part of the progression.

Observation Haki V2 is worth obtaining because it becomes important for progressing toward King’s Haki.

Get Conqueror’s Haki

Conqueror’s Haki can be one of the most frustrating abilities to obtain because its chance is very low.

The recommended method is to travel to the Arena and repeatedly defeat the required NPC until Conqueror’s Haki is obtained.

The amount of time required can vary significantly. Some players may get it quickly, while others can spend hours farming.

The important thing is to keep trying and treat it as a long-term progression goal.

Get King’s Haki

After obtaining the necessary Haki upgrades, you can begin working toward King’s Haki.

The quest starts with Andre at Skull Island.

This is a much longer quest compared with the earlier Haki requirements. You need to travel between different locations and complete several raid objectives.

The guide mentions targets such as:

• Shanks
• Big Mom
• Kaido
• Blackbeard

Each required raid or boss needs to be completed multiple times, with the guide mentioning three clears for the required targets.

Because this takes considerable time, it is better to work on the quest while farming other resources rather than focusing on it exclusively.

Get Frost Bazooka

For your gun or ranged weapon, weapon chests are worth farming because they can provide useful equipment.

One recommended weapon is Frost Bazooka, which is considered a better option than Cupid Bow for the suggested setup.

You can also work toward Pinpoint, which comes from Artifact Chests and can be useful for improving your overall build.

Farm Gold Raids

Gold Raids are another important part of the late-game progression.

They can provide various accessories and equipment, and different seas offer different levels of content.

Since the Third Sea is not available in the progression covered by the guide, players are limited to the currently accessible Gold Raid content.

Once your character becomes strong enough, adding Gold Raids to your regular farming routine can help you build a much stronger endgame setup.

Best Melee Accessories

When you reach the endgame, accessories become extremely important.

For a melee-focused build, the recommended items include:

• Awakened Vampire Top
• Awakened Vampire Bottom
• Napoleon Hat
• Golden Rings
• Withered Cape
• Supporter High Suit

The Awakened Vampire Top and Bottom can be obtained through the Purple Portal at Dawn Island in the Multiverse Sea.

Napoleon Hat comes from Challenger Raid, while the other accessories can be obtained through different raids and gacha systems.

Best Sword Accessories

For a sword-focused build, the recommended accessories include:

• Death Top
• Death Bottom
• Death Cape
• Scaled Gauntlet
• Red Hair
• Straw Hat
• Sword High Suit

The Death pieces come from Death Raid.

Scaled Gauntlet can be obtained through Gold Pirate Gotcha or Accessory Chests. Red Hair and Straw Hat are also associated with Pirate Gotcha.

Free Accessories to Use

You do not need the best accessories immediately. Several easier options can be used while building toward the endgame setup.

Some recommended alternatives include:

• Midas Suit
• Golden Rings
• Golden Shades
• Torgei Top
• Torgei Bottom
• LOD Cape

If you cannot get Gilosaur Top and Bottom, Final Magma Top and Bottom can be used as replacements.

These items can help you build a decent setup without waiting until you obtain every rare endgame accessory.

Best Races for Damage

Race selection is also important because certain races provide Global Damage Buffs. The recommended options include:

• Slime — around 2.3x Global Damage Buff.
• Shanden — around 2x Global Damage Buff.
• Buccaneer — around 1.5x Global Damage Buff.
• Heavenly Restricted — around 1.5x Global Damage Buff.

Lunatrix and several other races can also provide damage bonuses, but the options above are more attractive if your primary goal is maximizing damage. Hybrid is not recommended for a pure damage setup because it does not provide the same Global Damage Buff.

RE:AOPG becomes much easier when you stop trying to collect everything at once. Early on, focus on the resources from codes, extra quest slots, basic equipment, Black Leg, Island Tracker, and Dark Fruit. These upgrades give you a strong foundation without wasting your Beli and Gems.

Once you reach the Second Sea and have around 12,000 stats, you can shift your attention toward stronger Fruits, Haki upgrades, fighting styles, swords, support styles, raids, races, and accessories. Following this progression order should make your journey from a new character to a strong endgame build much more straightforward.
