Choosing the right character in Soulrift is important because each character has a different role, ability set, and combat style. Before entering a boss fight, you need to decide which character you want to use, and that choice can have a big effect on how you approach the battle.

Soulrift Characters Tier List
The current Soulrift character roster includes 11 playable characters. They are divided between starting characters, shop characters, and characters unlocked by completing specific quests.
S Tier

These characters offer some of the strongest overall options in Soulrift. Sunder has extremely high close-range damage, while Raiden provides a more flexible combination of melee, ranged attacks, and mobility. How to Unlock Characters in Soulrift
There are currently two main ways to unlock characters in Soulrift. Some characters can be purchased directly from the shop using Souls, while others require you to complete a specific quest.

The following characters can be purchased from the Shop:
- Reviva — 250 Souls
- Sunder — 1,000 Souls
- Ricochet — 1,500 Souls

- Raiden — 4,000 Souls
You will need to save enough Souls before purchasing these characters. Raiden is currently the most expensive shop character, requiring 4,000 Souls.
Complete Quests
Other characters are unlocked by completing their respective quests:

- Scar — Burning Soul Quest
These characters cannot simply be purchased with Souls according to the current information. Instead, you need to complete the required quest to gain access to them.
Best Soulrift Character for DPS
If your main goal is to deal as much damage as possible, Sunder is one of the best characters to consider. His entire role is built around close-range DPS, and he is described as having some of the highest damage output in the game.
Nyx is another excellent damage option for experienced players. Her Blood meter gives her access to massive burst damage, although her low 80 HP means that mistakes can be costly.
Lumina is a better option if you prefer ranged combat. She can deal heavy damage from a very long distance, but her longer cooldowns require more careful ability management.
Best Soulrift Character for Support
For team support, Reviva and Clockwork are the two main choices.
