Fisch Minor Update 29 August 2026 Guide: Sei Whale, Celestial Rod Mastery & Codes

The latest Fisch minor update for August 29, 2026 adds a new whale encounter, Crew rankings, a new surfboard, Celestial Rod Mastery, and several quality-of-life improvements. There is also a new code that players can redeem for free rewards. Here are the main features and changes from the latest Fisch update. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!

Sei Whale Migration Hunt

A new Sei Whale Migration Hunt has been added to Fisch. Sei Whales can now appear during Windy Nights, giving players another rare creature to encounter while fishing.

The Sei Whale appears by itself and moves across the surface of the water. Players need to be careful after hooking it because the whale will speed away when it becomes worried.

This makes the Sei Whale encounter different from normal fishing, as players need to react quickly and manage the whale after getting it on the line.

Crew Statues and Monthly Rankings

New Crew Statues have been added near the Crew Herald. These statues show the top crews across several monthly ranking categories.

The rankings include:

  • Total Catches
  • Rarest Catch
  • Crew Rating
  • Biggest Fish

Top crews can also earn exclusive engraved monthly bobber trophies, giving crews another reason to compete in the monthly rankings.

Crimson Tides Surfboard

A new item is now available from the Sunshell Merchant.

The Crimson Tides surfboard can be purchased by exchanging Sunshells. It is mainly useful for traveling around the beach and gives players a faster and more stylish way to move across the water.

If you have a large amount of Sunshells saved up, this is a new item worth checking out.

Celestial Rod Mastery

The Celestial Rod now has its own Mastery progression.

Players can work toward completing the new mastery to unlock the full potential of the rod. This gives Celestial Rod users another progression goal to work toward after obtaining the weapon.

Fisch Minor Update Changes

The update also includes several bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

Some of the more important changes include:

  • Companion Skins can now be traded.
  • Treasure Map capacity increased from 25 to 50.
  • Lullaby buffs now remain after rejoining, with a maximum duration of 8 hours.
  • Rotblooms and Witherblooms no longer despawn when nobody is nearby.
  • Treasure Chest spawning issues have been fixed.
  • Private Server states can now persist through updates.
  • Players should return to their previous location after an update shutdown.
  • Wisp movement toward Wisp Haunts has been significantly increased.
  • Undiscovered Bestiary fish now appear as “???” when using the Deep Survey Device.
  • The Cosmic Relic chance with the Stellar buff has been fixed.
  • Shipwright boat purchases no longer immediately close the menu.
  • Several onboarding issues have been fixed to improve the new-player experience.

Fisch Code August 29, 2026

There is also a new code available with the latest update.

  • SkycrestNextWeek

The developers recommend redeeming this code today, so players should use it as soon as possible in case it expires.

The August 29 Fisch update is smaller than a major content update but still adds several useful features. The biggest addition is the Sei Whale, which can appear during Windy Nights and gives experienced fishermen another challenging catch to hunt.

The update also introduces monthly Crew rankings, the Crimson Tides surfboard, Celestial Rod Mastery, and a large number of fixes. Don’t forget to redeem SkycrestNextWeek while it is available.
