How to Get Monster Pets in Steal an Egg Guide

Monster Pets are special rewards you can obtain by taking part in the Hungry Monster Event in Steal an Egg. To get them, you need to find special Infested Eggs, feed them to the Hungry Monster, and open the Monster Chests you receive. The process is fairly simple, but the rare rewards have low drop rates, so you may need to repeat the event several times before getting the Monster-related rewards you want.

Find Infested Eggs

The first step is finding Infested Eggs around the Steal an Egg map. These special eggs can appear in several different biomes after the egg spawns reset. Infested Eggs can be found in:

• Snow
• Volcano
• Abyss Ocean
• Prehistoric
• Cosmic
• Cherry Blossom
• Titan Temple

You can recognize an Infested Egg by the purple parasites sitting on top of it. Once you find one, steal it successfully and bring it back to your pen.

Feed the Hungry Monster

After getting an Infested Egg, equip it from your inventory and head back to your pen. Walk into the circle underneath the Hungry Monster and feed it your egg.

• Mobile: Press and hold the Feed Parasite button

Each Infested Egg gives the Hungry Monster 20% hunger.

This means you need five Infested Eggs to completely fill its hunger bar.

Open Monster Chests

Once the Hungry Monster reaches 100% hunger, you will receive a Monster Chest. Open the chest to receive one of several possible rewards. The available rewards include:

• 1.25x Egg Growth for 5 minutes
• 1.25x Speed for 5 minutes
• 2x Treadmill Speed for 5 minutes
• Flyswatter
• Monstrous Egg

The Monstrous Egg has a 1.5% chance of being obtained, making it the rarest reward from the Monster Chest.

Repeat the Event

Getting Monster Pets is mostly about repeating the same farming process. After opening a Monster Chest, you can start feeding the Hungry Monster again. The basic farming loop is:

1. Find an Infested Egg.
2. Steal the egg successfully.
3. Return to your pen.
4. Feed it to the Hungry Monster.
5. Collect five Infested Eggs.
6. Fill the Hungry Monster to 100%.
7. Open the Monster Chest.
8. Repeat until you get the reward you want.

Since the Monstrous Egg has a low drop chance, you may need to open many chests before getting it.

Remember that an Infested Egg is consumed when you feed it to the Hungry Monster. Make sure you are using the correct egg before pressing the Feed button. Avoid accidentally feeding a rare egg that you wanted to keep for your collection or another purpose.

To get Monster Pets in Steal an Egg, you need to farm the Hungry Monster Event. Search the different biomes for Infested Eggs, identify them by their purple parasites, and feed five of them to the Hungry Monster. Once its hunger reaches 100%, you will receive a Monster Chest.
