Elemental Hydra Fish It Guide, Location & How to Catch

The Elemental Hydra is one of the newest and rarest fish added to Fish It with the Elemental Expansion update. This Forgotten fish cannot be caught like a normal fish, as players need to access a special area and work together with other players to activate the Hydra encounter.

Elemental Hydra Location in Fish It

The Elemental Hydra can be found inside Hydra’s Throne Room, a new hidden area located within Elemental Island. You cannot simply walk into the room when you first arrive. The entrance needs to be unlocked by using three different Elemental Crystals. You need the following crystals:

• Fire Elemental Crystal
• Ice Elemental Crystal
• Storm Elemental Crystal

Take each crystal to its matching podium inside Elemental Island. Once all three crystals have been placed, the gate to Hydra’s Throne Room will open.

After unlocking the room, you will have permanent access to the location and can return whenever you want to farm for the Elemental Hydra and the other new fish.

How to Catch Elemental Hydra

Catching the Elemental Hydra requires teamwork. You need at least three players to activate the encounter.

Each player needs to take a position in one of the three elemental zones:

• One player in the Fire zone
• One player in the Ice zone
• One player in the Storm zone

Once all three zones are active, the Hydra system can begin generating different combinations.

The event can support up to 15 players, and having more players gives you better odds. Because of this, it is a good idea to bring a group of friends or join other players who are also trying to catch Hydra.

Elemental Hydra Catch Rates

The Elemental Hydra is extremely difficult to obtain because its combinations have very low chances.

Most Hydra combinations have odds of around 1 in 40,000,000. The rarest combination is even harder to get, with an estimated chance of 1 in 45,000,000.

The rarest setup requires:

• 1 Fire
• 1 Ice
• 1 Storm

Because the chances are so low, don’t expect to catch the Elemental Hydra after only a few attempts. This is designed to be a long-term fishing goal for players who want to collect the rarest creatures in the game.

How to Improve Your Hydra Chances

If you want to farm Elemental Hydra, there are a few things you should keep in mind. The most important part is keeping the three elemental zones balanced.

Try to maintain a proper balance between:

• Fire
• Ice
• Storm

Having more players can also improve your overall chances, with the system supporting up to 15 players. Instead of trying to farm Hydra alone, gathering a full group can make the process more effective.

You can also look for equipment and abilities that improve your fishing luck. The new Elemental Convergence ability is particularly useful because it increases the chance of triggering a Critical Catch.

Hydra Fishing Pet

Another new item connected to Hydra is the Hydra Fishing Pet. This three-headed pet can be obtained through the new Elemental Spin.

When equipped, the Hydra pet provides additional fishing benefits. Its center head fishes alongside your character, while its outer heads empower your fishing spot with a Forgotten Luck Pool.

This makes the pet useful for players who are specifically farming Forgotten fish and other rare catches.

Is Elemental Hydra Worth Farming?

If you are a collector or want to complete the new Elemental Island content, then Elemental Hydra is definitely worth going after. It is one of the hardest fish to obtain in the update, and its extremely low catch rate makes it a major trophy for dedicated players.

However, be prepared for a long grind. The best way to approach it is to gather several players, activate all three elemental zones, keep the elements balanced, and continue fishing until the right combination appears.
