The Archives update in DOORS adds a large collection of new achievements, and getting every one of them will take more than a single run. Some achievements are tied directly to Archives, while others require you to begin from the Hotel or visit another floor before you can complete them.
There are also achievements connected to new Entities, Items, Floors, and the Stairwell Subfloor. Because several objectives are easy to miss, knowing what each achievement requires before starting your run can save you a lot of time. This guide covers the known Archive achievements and explains how to unlock each one.
General Archive Achievements
The General category has only two achievements, and both can be completed in Section A. You do not need to travel deep into the Archives for these objectives.
Quick Purchase
To get Quick Purchase, buy a Shakelight from the green vending machine for 10 Gold.
Once you have enough Gold, locate the vending machine and purchase the Shakelight. The achievement should be awarded after the purchase.
Unpatched Dupe Glitch
For Unpatched Dupe Glitch, find a printer and use it to scan and print an item.
The printer does not actually create a useful duplicate that you can keep, but interacting with the system and printing the item is enough to complete the achievement. It is more of a fun interaction than a major progression mechanic.
Entity Archive Achievements
Most of the Entity achievements require you to survive or interact with one of the new threats introduced in the Archives content. Some are straightforward survival challenges, while others require specific actions. Knowing what triggers each Entity can make these achievements much easier to complete.
It’s Still You
For It’s Still You, find a bathroom and stare into the mirror.
Keep looking at the mirror until it begins to crack. Eventually, this interaction can cause the Portrait Entity to appear.
This is also important because Portrait is connected to another achievement involving the Crucifix, so you can potentially work toward multiple objectives during the same run.
Firewall
To unlock Firewall, you need to deal with the Ransom Entity.
When Ransom begins its interaction, you can avoid or disable it by giving it enough money. Make sure you have enough Gold available before attempting this achievement.
Keeping some money in reserve can make this encounter considerably easier.
Feed the Fih
The Feed the Fih achievement requires you to feed the Fih in the aquarium.
Look for the blue bottle of food, pick it up, and use it on the Fih. You only need to complete the interaction once for the achievement.
You can continue feeding them afterward if you want, but additional feeding is not required to unlock the achievement.
Crowd Watching
The Crowd Watching achievement involves surviving the Drones stampede.
The Drones appear at specific times, including 9 and 5 on the clock, and move through the rooms in a group. Staying away from the main path is the safest option.
You can also hide inside a Closet or move into a side room when the stampede is approaching. The important thing is to avoid being caught directly in their path.
Now Served
When you encounter the Teller, she will provide you with a ticket containing a number.
Every door you pass through causes the number to count down. Once the countdown reaches the number shown on your ticket, you need to return the ticket to the Teller within the short window provided.
Complete this interaction successfully to earn Now Served.
Perfect Memory
Perfect Memory takes place in the subway section and works similarly to an Exit 8-style anomaly puzzle.
Pay close attention to the first room you enter. As you move through the subway area, look for changes such as:
- Different colors
- Missing objects
- Changes to signs
- A missing wet-floor sign
- Other visual differences
If the room looks exactly the same, continue forward. If you notice an anomaly, turn around and go back.
Continue making the correct decisions until you successfully escape the subway section.
Shock Hazard
For Shock Hazard, you need to survive a Currents hazard.
Watch the puddles before walking through them. If they are sparkling and you can hear electricity, they are currently dangerous.
Wait for the electrical hazard to stop before crossing. Once the puddles are safe, walk through without taking damage.
Carpet Burn
The Carpet Burn achievement requires you to survive Bash.
When Bash starts moving through the rooms, avoid staying in its path. Move into a side room or hide inside a Closet until the danger passes.
Survival is the important part, so do not try to outrun the Entity through the main hallway if you already have a safe hiding spot nearby.
Smashing Deal
Smashing Deal requires you to interact with the Portrait Entity.
First, go to a bathroom and stare into the mirror until it cracks and eventually causes Portrait to appear.
Once Portrait arrives, it will mimic your actions. Equip an item that you want to duplicate, and Portrait will copy the item.
You can then take the duplicated item from the Portrait to complete the required interaction.
Witness Protection
The Witness Protection achievement is related to Alma.
You will usually know Alma is approaching because you can hear her crying several rooms before she appears. Once she starts appearing around you, the most important rule is simple: do not look directly at her.
Alma can move around your character while waiting for you to look at her. Use the sound of her crying to figure out where she is and keep your view pointed elsewhere.
The encounter can become particularly dangerous when other Entities are active at the same time, so avoid unnecessary risks and focus on surviving the encounter.
Limitless Paper
To get Limitless Paper, survive an encounter with Scribbles.
One warning sign is that your screen begins shaking. When you notice this effect, find a Closet and hide inside.
As long as you successfully hide from Scribbles, you can survive the encounter and earn the achievement.
Who Am I?
The Who Am I? achievement requires you to reach Section S.
Continue until you reach S-50. At this point, look for a hallway where a Closet would normally appear in the right-hand corner.
Instead of following the usual path, enter the area and look for signs pointing toward the Stairwell and Archives.
Take the route toward Archives. You will trigger a short cutscene involving your character, and the game will also add a new “Me” entry to your Journal.
Most Valuable Employee
For Most Valuable Employee, you need to organize the Mail Room while Honcho is chasing you.
The difficult part is getting this encounter to appear because Honcho’s spawn is not guaranteed. You may need several runs before you get the opportunity.
Once the sequence occurs, focus on organizing the Mail Room while dealing with the threat.
Star Employee
The Star Employee achievement also involves Honcho.
During the Honcho sequence, give him the Starlight Bottle obtained from the Backdoors.
This achievement requires you to access another floor before you can complete the objective, so plan your run accordingly rather than expecting to finish it entirely within one Archives visit.
Redacted
The requirements for Redacted are currently listed as TBA, so there is no confirmed method to provide at this time.
Item Archive Achievements
Several Archive achievements are connected to specific Items. Some are simple collection tasks, while others require you to obtain items across different floors.
Gold Standard
For Gold Standard, find and use the Honey Pot.
The Honey Pot can appear when Ransom begins hacking you. It may be found inside drawers or somewhere on the floor.
Breaking the Honey Pot immediately satisfies Ransom. However, there is a useful strategy if you want to keep the money contained inside it.
Instead of breaking it immediately:
- Search drawers and Closets.
- Collect enough money to satisfy Ransom.
- Keep the Honey Pot in your inventory.
- Wait until Ransom leaves.
- Break the Honey Pot afterward.
- Keep the money from the Honey Pot.
This allows you to complete the objective while potentially keeping more of the available Gold.
Enlightened
The Enlightened achievement requires your entire hotbar to contain different light sources.
This is more complicated than simply collecting one Shakelight because the required light sources are spread across different floors.
You will need to play through multiple areas and collect enough unique light sources to fill the hotbar.
Because of the number of items involved, this is an achievement that is better approached as a dedicated collection run.
Girl Dinner
Girl Dinner is another cross-floor collection achievement.
You need to fill your hotbar with different edible items. Since the necessary food items are spread across different floors, completing this requires more than a normal Archives run.
Collect the required edible items and make sure your hotbar contains the necessary variety to trigger the achievement.
Pizza Time
Pizza Time is considerably easier than Girl Dinner.
You simply need to fill your entire hotbar with Pizza.
The easiest way to do this is to enter a floor where the computer indicates Pizza Party. These areas can contain multiple rooms with plenty of Pizza available.
You can also drop items temporarily if your inventory is full, equip the Pizza, and then pick up important items afterward.
Bad Luck
The requirements for Bad Luck are currently listed as TBA, so there is no confirmed method available yet.
Crucifix Achievement
There is currently one notable achievement connected to the Crucifix and Portrait.
Annihilation
To unlock Annihilation, you first need to trigger the Portrait Entity.
Find a bathroom and stare at the mirror until it begins cracking. After the event, Portrait has a chance to appear in a later room.
The difficult part is obtaining a Crucifix because you need to access it through the Hotel.
If you are starting directly from Archives through the Lobby, you will not be able to simply obtain the Crucifix there. Instead, begin your run from the Hotel.
After triggering Portrait in the bathroom, use the Emergency Exit when available to return to the Hotel. This gives you another opportunity to obtain the Crucifix and use it against Portrait.
Because the achievement depends on several events occurring in the correct order, you may need more than one attempt.
Floor Archive Achievements
The Floor achievements are generally easier than the Entity challenges because most of them simply require you to enter or escape a specific area.
Forgotten Memories
To earn Forgotten Memories, enter the Archives.
There is one important requirement: you need to enter Archives through the Hotel rather than entering it directly from the Lobby.
Make sure you start your run from the correct location before attempting this achievement.
Emergency Exit
The Emergency Exit achievement requires you to escape Archives using the Emergency Exit.
The Emergency Exit appears at every 50th Door after Section C. Using it will send you back toward the Hotel if that is where your run began.
This makes the achievement relatively straightforward once you understand where the exit can appear.
Z-50
For Z-50, simply complete the final section of Archives and escape through the normal route.
Reach Z-50, the final section, and successfully escape. Completing this route takes you to the Stairwell.
You can also use Gold to skip certain floors if the game gives you the option, which can help shorten the run.
Stairwell Achievements
The Archives update also adds achievements connected to the Stairwell Subfloor in the Mines. These objectives are separate from the main Archives achievements but are worth completing if you are aiming for the full collection.
Rage Room
To get Rage Room, you need to disable the Noise Entity.
During the encounter in the secret Mines subfloor, find the TV set and push it down the stairs. Breaking the TV will disable Noise and award the achievement.
Paparazzi
For Paparazzi, you need to scare away the Creep Entity.
Wait until Creep is preparing to grab you from behind, then perform the required action to scare it away.
The timing can be important, so avoid moving away too early if you want to trigger the encounter correctly.
Fried Mushroom
The Fried Mushroom achievement requires you to use the Fire Alarm against the Meld Entity.
Trigger the Fire Alarm while dealing with Meld to incinerate it and complete the achievement.
Bubble Popping
To unlock Bubble Popping, interact with the Stem Entity by throwing it.
Successfully throw Stem to complete the achievement.
Paperclip Challenge
For Paperclip Challenge, use an Item on the Depot.
Bring an appropriate item to the Depot and interact with it to trigger the achievement.
Storage Wars
The Storage Wars achievement requires you to earn 1,000 or more Gold at the Depot in a single deposit.
Make sure the value of the deposit reaches at least 1,000 Gold before completing the transaction.
Hello Walker
For Hello Walker, simply encounter the Cobbler Entity.
Cobbler is not hostile toward you, so you do not need to defeat it or perform a complicated survival sequence. Finding and encountering it is enough.
Going Down
To earn Going Down, enter the Stairwell Subfloor.
Once you successfully enter the area, the achievement should be awarded.
Going Up
The final Stairwell achievement, Going Up, requires you to escape the Stairwell.
Enter the Stairwell Subfloor, survive the area, and successfully make your way out to complete the achievement.
Tips for Getting All Archive Achievements
Trying to collect every achievement in a single run is not always practical. Several objectives require different floors, specific Entities, or particular items. A better strategy is to divide your attempts based on the requirements. For example:
- General achievements: Complete these early in Section A.
- Entity achievements: Focus on the specific Entity when it appears.
- Item achievements: Prepare dedicated collection runs.
- Crucifix achievements: Start from the Hotel.
- Floor achievements: Focus on reaching and escaping the required section.
- Stairwell achievements: Complete these during dedicated Stairwell runs.
- TBA achievements: Wait for their requirements to be confirmed.
Some achievements can also overlap. For example, triggering Portrait can help you work toward both Smashing Deal and Annihilation, while playing through multiple floors can help you collect the items required for Enlightened and Girl Dinner.
Getting all the Archive achievements in DOORS requires patience because the objectives cover almost every part of the new content. Some achievements are simple purchases or interactions, while others depend on surviving specific Entities, collecting items across multiple floors, or starting your run from the Hotel.
The easiest way to approach the collection is to avoid trying to force everything into one run. Complete the simple General achievements first, then dedicate separate attempts to Entity encounters, item collection, Hotel-related objectives, and the Stairwell.
Keep in mind that some achievement requirements are currently listed as TBA, meaning their methods have not been confirmed yet. As the Archives content receives additional updates, these requirements may also change.
