Melee weapons are mainly useful for warriors and tank-style classes, while spell weapons are made for players who depend on magic damage.

Which Weapon Should You Use?
The best weapon depends on your class and the type of build you are using. If your character is focused on physical attacks, melee weapons are the better option. Players using mage builds should look toward the Spell category instead.
For endgame players, the Ultimate weapons stand out because they require high levels and are tied to some of the hardest Nightmare content. Hofund and Laevateinn are strong options for players around level 186, while the level 216 Voidborn weapons are aimed at even higher-level builds.
You also do not have to immediately chase the highest-level weapon. A Legendary weapon that matches your current level and build can be much more useful than an item you cannot equip yet.
How to Get Better Weapons Faster
Most of the strongest weapons come from Nightmare dungeons, so reaching the required level should be one of your main goals. Once you can enter the correct dungeon, focus on repeatedly clearing it to look for the weapon you want.
For craftable weapons, start collecting materials before you reach the required level. Items such as Warforged Metal, Astral Amethyst, Obsidian Chunks, and Gold Bars are important for several weapon recipes.
It is also worth keeping weaker weapons until you have a replacement ready. This makes leveling easier and prevents you from being stuck with a weapon that does not match your current build.
The Dungeon Quest Reborn weapon selection gives both melee and spell-focused players plenty of options. Some weapons can be obtained from specific dungeons, while others require several crafting materials and an earlier weapon as part of the recipe.
