The Skycrest Update introduced a new progression system called Idol Favor in Fisch. Unlike your normal level, Idol Favor is specifically connected to activities on Skycrest and is required to unlock several of the island’s most important features.

Your Idol Favor level affects things such as additional Crest Amulet slots, Sky Crystal placement, Idol Taiga, and higher-level Master Hiroto challenges. Because of this, increasing your Favor should be one of your main priorities when starting the Skycrest content. In this guide, we’ll explain the best ways to earn Idol Favor and how to level up your Idol Level faster without wasting time.

What Is Idol Favor in Fisch?

Idol Favor is a separate progression system introduced with the Skycrest Update. It works similarly to an experience system, but it is tied specifically to activities around Skycrest.

As you collect enough Favor, your Idol Level increases. Each level gives you access to more of Skycrest’s content, making Favor an important part of the overall update rather than an optional side feature.

Several mechanics are locked behind this progression. For example, you need enough Favor to safely place Sky Crystals, unlock additional Crest Amulet Charm slots, access harder Master Hiroto challenges, and eventually tame the Idol Taiga companion.

All Ways to Increase Idol Favor in Fisch Guide

1. Catch Fish on Skycrest

The easiest way to start gaining Idol Favor is simply by fishing on Skycrest. Catches made around the island contribute to your Favor progression, with better catches generally providing much more Favor than common fish.

Common catches can give only around 1–2 Idol Favor, while rare and mythical catches can provide significantly larger amounts, with some catches reaching up to around 200 Favor. This makes targeting higher-rarity fish much more efficient than spending all your time catching basic fish.

If you’re still building your gear, don’t worry about immediately chasing the rarest fish. Keep fishing around Skycrest while improving your setup, and your Favor will gradually increase as you play.

2. Complete Ancient Idol Trials

Skycrest contains seven Ancient Idols, each with its own set of trials. These include Hayate, Ebisu, Fudo, Nagomi, Goriki, Shunsoku, and Amanojaku.

Completing these trials is another important part of Skycrest progression. The trials reward dedicated Charms and help you build a stronger setup, which can make your future fishing and Favor farming much easier.

Skycrest also contains numerous quests from NPCs around the island. Completing these quests is useful because they often overlap with activities you are already doing while exploring the area.

Rather than traveling around Skycrest only to grind Favor, try accepting quests whenever you encounter new NPCs. You can then complete their objectives while fishing, exploring the island, and working on other progression requirements.

The Keeper of the Sky questline is particularly important because it ties into Sky Crystals and other Skycrest progression. Reaching certain Idol Favor levels is required before you can progress through some of these systems.

6. Focus on Rare Fish Instead of Common Fish

If your main goal is to level Idol Favor quickly, don’t spend all of your time catching the easiest fish available.

Common fish provide very small Favor rewards, meaning you may need to make a large number of catches to see meaningful progression. Rare and mythical catches, on the other hand, can give dramatically more Favor per catch.

What Does Idol Favor Unlock?
