Sky Reach The Veil Guide: Location & How to Find It
Looking for Sky Reach in The Veil? This area can be confusing to find because you cannot simply walk to it from the main parts of the map. The route starts inside the Maze and requires you to find a special location first. In current guides, the destination is referred to as Sky Island. It is also home to important late-game content, including the Sky Sentinel trainer. Here is the full route you can follow to reach the area.
Where Is Sky Reach in The Veil?
Sky Reach, also referred to as Sky Island, is located away from the normal paths of the Maze. You need to use a special teleport route instead of trying to reach the area by walking through the labyrinth.
The first location you need to find is the Shimmering Sanctum. This landmark can appear somewhere inside the Maze, so finding it may take some exploration. The exact route through the Maze is not always the same from your starting point. Because of this, it is better to look for the landmark itself instead of trying to follow fixed coordinates.
How to Find the Shimmering Sanctum

Start by entering the Maze and exploring until you find the Shimmering Sanctum. This is the key location for reaching Sky Island. The Sanctum can spawn within the Maze, meaning you may need to search different areas before finding it. Once you reach the Sanctum, look for the NPC name Sapphron located near the teleport obelisk. This NPC is the one who can send you to Sky Island.
How to Get to Sky Island

After finding the Shimmering Sanctum, talk to the NPC near the teleport obelisk. You will need to give the NPC one gem before you can travel to Sky Island. Make sure you have a gem with you before making the trip, otherwise you will need to leave and find one first. Once you hand over the gem, the NPC will teleport you to the floating island. This is currently the main route used to reach the area.
Activate the Sky Island Waypoint
As soon as you arrive on Sky Island, look for the teleport waypoint. The waypoint is located inside a small cave near the island’s central area. Activating it should be one of the first things you do after arriving.
This is important because you do not want to repeat the entire Shimmering Sanctum route every time you need to return. After activating the waypoint, you can use it as your fast-travel point for future trips.
Where to Go After Reaching Sky Island

Once the waypoint has been activated, you can start exploring the island. For players looking for the Sky Sentinel class, the trainer is located by following the route from the waypoint toward the left side of the area.
The island is therefore more than just a hidden location. It is connected to important class progression and other late-game activities. If you are planning to unlock Sky Sentinel, make sure you have the required items before making the trip.
What Do You Need to Reach Sky Reach?
The main requirement for the journey is simple:
- Find the Shimmering Sanctum.
- Have 1 gem ready.
- Talk to the NPC near the teleport obelisk.
- Give the NPC the gem.
- Travel to Sky Island.
- Activate the waypoint.
The journey itself does not require you to complete the Sky Sentinel quest. The class requirements come afterward.
For example, the current Sky Sentinel route requires 30 Offerings and five Angry Nimbus defeats during a rain event.
Tips for Finding Sky Reach Faster
The biggest problem is usually finding the Shimmering Sanctum. Since the landmark is inside the Maze, avoid wasting time trying to follow a single fixed route from spawn. Instead, pay attention to the environment and look for the named landmark. Once you find it, the rest of the trip is much easier.
It is also worth activating every useful waypoint you discover. The Veil’s labyrinth is large, and having fast-travel points can save a lot of time when working on different quests and class unlocks. Try to make the trip during the daytime if you are still learning the Maze. Night increases the pressure from enemies and can also cause Sanity problems, making exploration harder for newer players.
What Can You Do on Sky Island?
Sky Island is mainly useful for progression and class-related content. One of the most notable reasons to visit is the Sky Sentinel trainer. The class focuses on summons and has its own quest requirements, including 30 Offerings and defeating five Angry Nimbuses during rain.
Even if you are not ready for the class yet, unlocking the island waypoint is still useful. You can return later without having to repeat the entire journey from the Maze. Finding Sky Reach in The Veil can seem difficult at first because the area is not reached through a normal path in the Maze. The important part is finding the Shimmering Sanctum, since that is where you can exchange a gem with the NPC to reach Sky Island.
After arriving, activate the waypoint immediately. This saves you from repeating the same Maze search later and gives you easier access to the island’s content. If your goal is to unlock Sky Sentinel, Sky Island is an important stop. Just remember that reaching the island and completing the class quest are two separate parts of the progression.
