Anime Expeditions Update 2.5, also known as Absolute Dream, adds a lot of new content to the game. The update brings new Secret units, equipment, a story map, a new raid, events, mounts, and a new soul-farming system connected to the Falcon evolutions.
If you are just starting the update, there is a useful order to follow. Redeem the new codes first, take the Broken Falcon quest, and then start farming Souls through Eclipsed Infinite. This will let your progress toward the new evolutions start as early as possible.
Everything Added in Anime Expeditions Update 2.5
Absolute Dream is more than just a new map or a few characters. The update adds several new systems and items that give players more things to farm and build. Here is the full list of major additions:
- New Map: Crimson Shore
- New Raid: Snowy Castle
- New Mounts: Golden Hour and Skeletal Horse
- New Emote: Masked Groove
- New Accessory: Boba
New Units
- 5th God Hand
- Iron Wolf (Struggler)
- Silver Falcon
- Eclipse Hunter (Savior)
New Equipment
- Blade of Reality
- Chosen Sabre
- Demon Slayer
- Orb of Causality
- Economist’s Coin
- Sacrificial Mark
The four new units have different roles and strengths. Early testing places 5th God Hand, Silver Falcon, and Iron Wolf (Struggler) in S tier, while Eclipse Hunter (Savior) is currently around A tier.
New Anime Expeditions Update 2.5 Units
The new units are some of the biggest additions in Absolute Dream. Three of them are currently considered very strong, while Eclipse Hunter sits slightly lower in the early rankings.
The current early tier placement is:
- 5th God Hand — S tier — Dark / Psychic
- Silver Falcon — S tier — Light / Magical
- Iron Wolf (Struggler) — S tier — Dark / Physical
- Eclipse Hunter (Savior) — A tier — Neutral / Psychic
These rankings can change as players spend more time testing the units, but they give you a good idea of which characters are worth prioritizing.
Among the four, 5th God Hand stands out because of its scaling mechanics. Every third normal attack creates a Distortion that lasts for 10 seconds. Enemies caught by it can be stopped and temporarily removed from the map while taking damage.
Enemies that survive can receive Mark of Fate, which helps build the Fated Meter. As the meter increases, 5th God Hand gains more Damage and Range while marked enemies become easier for it to damage.
Anime Expeditions Update 2.5 Codes
Before you start farming for the new units, redeem all of the available Update 2.5 codes. They provide Trait Crystals, Stat Rerolls, Equipment Rerolls, and Sand Dollars.
The current Absolute Dream codes listed in the provided information are:
- Eclipse — 25 Trait Crystals and 50 Equipment Rerolls
- 250klikes — 1,000 Sand Dollars, 25 Equipment Rerolls, and 25 Trait Crystals
- 8thCompany — 50 Stat Rerolls and 25 Trait Crystals
- EvolutionsFix — 25 Trait Crystals
These rewards can be useful when preparing your new units, especially if you want to reroll their traits or equipment.
How to Redeem Anime Expeditions Codes
Redeeming the codes only takes a few steps. Make sure you are in the lobby because the code menu is not available while you are inside a stage.
- Open Anime Expeditions.
- Wait until you are in the main lobby.
- Click the three dots button in the top-left corner.
- Select Redeem Codes.
- Enter one of the Update 2.5 codes.
- Press Redeem Code.
- Check your inventory for the rewards.
Enter each code exactly as shown. If one does not work, check for typing mistakes first. A code may also stop working if it has expired or has another requirement attached to it.
Economist’s Coin and Sacrificial Mark
Update 2.5 adds six pieces of equipment, but Economist’s Coin and Sacrificial Mark are two of the more useful choices for certain teams.
Economist’s Coin focuses on your Yen economy. At the end of a wave, it can return between 1% and 10% of the Yen spent during that wave. The effect is per player and does not stack, so using multiple copies does not give you a bigger refund.
For the best results, put Economist’s Coin on an economy unit such as Stone Alchemist. If the passive starts with a low percentage, Equipment Rerolls can be used to try for a better value.
Sacrificial Mark is focused more on damage. Its passive increases damage by 1%, with another 1% added for each Wither or Mark applied by the equipped unit, up to 10%.
This makes it more useful on units that can consistently apply Wither or Mark effects. If your unit rarely applies either status, you will not get much value from the equipment.
Crimson Shore and the Broken Falcon Quest
Crimson Shore is the new story map added with Absolute Dream. It is also where you begin the long process for the new Falcon evolutions.
The Broken Falcon NPC can be found in Act 1. After interacting with the NPC, you can take the quest connected to either Redeemed Souls or Sacrificed Souls.
You need to collect 150 Souls for the evolution path. These Souls come from Eclipsed Infinite, so accepting the quest before farming is important.
If you start collecting Souls without having the quest active, that progress may not count toward the evolution requirement.
How Eclipsed Infinite Works
Eclipsed Infinite is where you farm the Souls needed for the Broken Falcon evolutions. However, the mode is not located inside Crimson Shore.
Instead, return to the main hub and enter School Grounds to access Eclipsed Infinite.
The mode uses a voting system that happens every five waves. Players are given three choices:
- Redemption
- Sacrifice
- Neutral
The votes fill a meter. Once the meter is full, a boss appears. Defeating the boss rewards Souls based on which side the votes favored.
Since the Broken Falcon quest accepts either Redeemed or Sacrificed Souls, you do not need to worry too much about which option wins. The bigger goal is surviving long enough to defeat several bosses and build your Soul total.
Getting 150 Souls will take some time, so a strong team and good farming setup will make the process much easier.
How to Farm Souls Faster
The main goal when farming Eclipsed Infinite is to survive for as long as possible. More boss spawns mean more chances to collect Souls during a single run.
Before starting the grind, make sure your team has enough damage to handle later waves. Economy units are also important because you need enough Yen to keep your main damage dealers upgraded.
You can also use Auto Play for stages where your team is strong enough to clear them consistently. This allows you to work toward the Soul requirement without manually controlling every wave.
Once you reach 150 Souls, return to the Broken Falcon quest and continue with the evolution requirements for the Falcon units.
Snowy Castle Raid
Snowy Castle is the new raid added in Update 2.5. The raid contains three acts and provides several useful rewards, including Snowy Castle Totems, Trait Crystals, and other upgrade materials.
Hard Mode is especially useful if you need additional resources for your new units.
One important tip is not to assume that the same team will be perfect for all three acts. The enemies change between acts, so you may need to adjust your lineup depending on what you are fighting.
You can change your units from the Units menu before entering another act. This is better than forcing one team to handle every situation.
Who Am I? Event
The Who Am I? event is a simple guessing minigame that can give you extra rewards. You are shown a shadowed unit along with several clues, and your job is to identify the correct character.
Successfully guessing the unit can reward:
- Event Coins
- Equipment Locks
- Other event rewards
Because it is quick and does not require a difficult battle, it is worth completing when it is available. You can finish it before starting your longer farming sessions.
Other events such as Lost Shipment and Golden Hour are also part of the current event rotation.
Best Order to Play Anime Expeditions Update 2.5
If you have limited time and want to make the most progress, you do not need to complete everything at once. Focus on the content that unlocks the new units first.
A good order is:
- Redeem all Update 2.5 codes.
- Go to Crimson Shore Act 1.
- Talk to Broken Falcon and accept the Soul quest.
- Enter School Grounds and start Eclipsed Infinite.
- Farm 150 Redeemed or Sacrificed Souls.
- Prepare the materials needed for the Falcon evolution.
- Use rerolls and equipment to improve your new units.
- Farm Snowy Castle for raid rewards and Totems.
- Complete Who Am I? and other available events for extra rewards.
This order is useful because the Soul requirement is one of the longest parts of the update. Starting it early means you can work toward the Falcon evolutions while doing other content.
Anime Expeditions Update 2.5: Absolute Dream adds a lot of new content, but the Broken Falcon Soul quest should be one of your first priorities. The 150-Soul requirement takes time, and you need to farm those Souls through Eclipsed Infinite. Start by redeeming Eclipse, 250klikes, 8thCompany, and EvolutionsFix, then take the quest from Broken Falcon in Crimson Shore Act 1. From there, focus on Eclipsed Infinite while using your other game modes to collect equipment, rerolls, and upgrade materials. Once you have the Soul requirement finished, you can move toward the new Falcon evolutions while continuing to build a stronger team for Snowy Castle and the other Update 2.5 content.
