Jingran Wuthering Waves Guide, Kit Explained, Best Build, Teams & More!

Jingran is a powerful Fusion main DPS in Wuthering Waves who scales heavily with HP and revolves around enhanced Heavy Attacks. His kit may look complicated at first because of the different forms, Qi management, Ghost Shroud stacks, and Liberation mechanics, but his actual game plan is fairly simple once everything is put together.

The main objective when playing Jingran is to activate his Resonance Liberation and then perform four enhanced Heavy Attacks before the Liberation buff expires. To do that consistently, you need to generate enough Qi between each Heavy Attack while taking advantage of his teammates to build Ghost Shroud.

Jingran also has an unusual playstyle because his Liberation immediately cuts his HP in half. Thankfully, he has several defensive mechanics, including shields, Healing Bonus, and ways to benefit from teammates who can repeatedly generate shields. This guide covers Jingran’s kit, Forte priorities, best Echoes and stats, weapons, Sequences, team compositions, and a basic rotation.

Jingran’s Kit Explained

Jingran’s kit revolves around three important mechanics: Qi, his two forms, and Ghost Shroud. He can hold up to 300 Qi. His Basic Attack chain provides Qi, while his Resonance Skill, aerial follow-up, Intro Skill, and Dodge Counter can also help him reach the amount he needs. The important part is that you do not need to memorize every part of his kit. During his main damage window, you simply need to keep generating 100 Qi between his enhanced Heavy Attacks.

Qi

Jingran has a maximum of 300 Qi. Basic Attack 3 and Basic Attack 4 each generate 50 Qi, meaning a complete portion of his Basic Attack string can provide 100 Qi. His Resonance Skill followed by its special aerial follow-up also generates 100 Qi. A Dodge Counter is another way to fill the missing amount.

Once Jingran reaches 300 Qi, he can perform his special Heavy Attack and switch forms. The two forms have very similar Qi generation, so there is no need to completely change your playstyle depending on which form Jingran is currently using.

One useful detail is that his Resonance Skill cooldown is separate between his two forms. This gives Jingran additional flexibility when managing his rotation.

Resonance Liberation

Jingran’s Resonance Liberation is the centerpiece of his damage rotation. When activated, it provides several major effects:

  • Grants an immediate 200 Qi.
  • Cuts Jingran’s HP to 50%.
  • Provides a 15-second combat buff.
  • Gives him three Wayfarer’s Mark stacks.
  • Allows him to perform enhanced Heavy Attacks.
  • Makes his Heavy Attacks scale heavily with HP.

Each enhanced Heavy Attack consumes one Wayfarer’s Mark stack. These attacks also restore 200 Qi, meaning Jingran can continue cycling through his special Heavy Attacks during the Liberation window.

The Forte gauge is also filled after using his Liberation. Each enhanced Heavy Attack consumes part of this gauge while dealing significantly increased damage. The main goal is therefore straightforward: generate 100 Qi between each enhanced Heavy Attack and finish four enhanced Heavy Attacks during the 15-second window.

Ghost Shroud

Ghost Shroud is another important part of Jingran’s kit. Jingran wants teammates that can repeatedly generate shields because shields help him build Ghost Shroud stacks. He can hold up to 50 Ghost Shroud stacks.

He starts combat with 25 stacks and can generate additional stacks during his own rotation. Under normal circumstances, Jingran can generate roughly 26–28 additional stacks during a rotation. His Intro Skill consumes the accumulated Ghost Shroud and converts it into a powerful Fusion damage boost that scales with his HP.

This is why characters that can repeatedly shield themselves or the team are particularly valuable for Jingran. A character such as Iuno is especially useful because she can generate shields consistently and help Jingran reach the maximum 50 Ghost Shroud stacks before his main damage sequence.

Jingran’s HP Requirement

HP is extremely important for Jingran. A major build target is around 50,000 maximum HP because several of his bonuses scale from his HP stat. Reaching this amount improves his Fusion damage, attack-related bonuses, and enhanced Heavy Attack multiplier.

Jingran also has extremely low defensive capability, making his HP pool and shielding particularly important. His Liberation cutting his HP in half sounds dangerous, but the character compensates for this with Healing Bonus and regular shield generation.

Because of how much of his kit scales with HP, do not automatically treat HP as a secondary stat. For Jingran, getting enough HP is part of maximizing his actual damage.

Forte and Talent Priority

For Jingran’s upgrade priorities, focus on the abilities that directly improve his main damage rotation.

Recommended priority:

  1. Forte Circuit
  2. Resonance Liberation
  3. Basic Attack
  4. Resonance Skill
  5. Intro Skill

His Forte and Liberation should receive the most investment because the majority of his important damage comes from the enhanced Heavy Attacks during his Liberation window.

Jingran Rotation

Jingran’s rotation is more flexible than his complicated kit might initially suggest. The basic objective is:

  1. Build Qi before using Liberation.
  2. Activate Resonance Liberation.
  3. Use an enhanced Heavy Attack.
  4. Generate 100 Qi.
  5. Use another enhanced Heavy Attack.
  6. Generate another 100 Qi.
  7. Repeat until you have performed four enhanced Heavy Attacks.

There are three main ways to generate the required 100 Qi:

  • Basic Attacks 3 and 4.
  • Resonance Skill plus aerial follow-up.
  • Dodge Counter.

The Skill plus aerial follow-up is particularly convenient because it can quickly provide the required Qi without spending too much time on the field. You can also alternate between Jingran’s two forms to make better use of his available Skill cooldowns. The important thing is not to waste the 15-second Liberation window. Once Liberation is active, prioritize getting all four enhanced Heavy Attacks out before the buff ends.

Best Echoes for Jingran

Jingran’s recommended Echo setup focuses on HP, Crit, Fusion damage, and Heavy Attack damage. His preferred Echo set is Lamp of Nether Road. The five-piece set provides valuable Crit Rate and Fusion-related bonuses that work extremely well with Jingran’s damage profile.

For his main Echo, Myriad Snare from Rustfire Chasm is recommended because it provides Fusion damage and Heavy Attack damage, both of which directly benefit his main damage source.

Echo Main Stats

Jingran has an unusual Echo setup compared with many other DPS characters. A 4-4-1-1-1 configuration is recommended, with Crit-based main stats on the two four-cost Echoes and HP% on the three one-cost Echoes. For the four-cost Echoes, possible combinations include:

  • Crit DMG + Crit DMG
  • Crit DMG + Crit Rate

The best option depends heavily on your weapon and existing substats. Jingran’s signature weapon provides additional Crit Rate for Heavy Attacks, while the five-piece Lamp of Nether Road set also provides Crit Rate. Shorekeeper can provide another Crit Rate boost.

Because of this, running too much Crit Rate can potentially push Jingran beyond what you actually need. If you do not have his signature weapon, one of your four-cost Echoes can instead use HP% to make reaching his 50,000 HP target easier. Depending on your substat rolls, even double HP% on the four-cost Echoes can be viable.

Jingran Substats

Your first major goal should be reaching approximately 50,000 HP. After reaching the HP target, focus on the standard offensive stats:

  • Crit Rate
  • Crit DMG
  • HP%
  • Energy Regen

Around 20% Energy Regen is a useful target based on the recommended rotation. Jingran receives a huge amount of Fusion damage from his kit, meaning additional Fusion damage is not always as valuable as improving his other stats.

Most of his important damage also comes from Heavy Attacks, so Heavy Attack-related bonuses are particularly useful. Do not worry about making every Echo perfect. Jingran’s build can be somewhat demanding, especially when trying to balance HP and Crit, so prioritize reaching the important HP threshold before chasing perfect substats.

Best Weapons for Jingran

Jingran’s signature broadblade, Thousandfold Deliverance, is his strongest weapon option. The weapon makes reaching his 50,000 HP target much easier while also providing the offensive stats Jingran needs.

It significantly outperforms most of his alternatives when the goal is maximizing his damage. Other five-star broadblades can still work if you do not have the signature weapon. Some alternatives include:

  • Thunder Flare Dominion
  • Verdant Summit
  • Wildfire Mark
  • Radiant’s Cleaver

The biggest problem with the alternatives is that they generally make it harder to reach Jingran’s desired HP threshold. His four-star weapon options also fall noticeably behind the signature weapon and stronger five-star alternatives. If you are aiming to maximize Jingran’s performance, Thousandfold Deliverance is therefore the clear choice.

Jingran Sequences

Jingran’s Sequences provide some significant improvements, particularly at the higher levels.

  • Sequence 1 improves his Resonance Skills and provides additional interruption resistance, making his rotation more comfortable and consistent.
  • Sequence 2 is one of his major power spikes. It significantly increases his Heavy Attack damage and also allows him to front-load a Heavy Attack at the beginning of a fight. This makes the start of his rotation considerably stronger.
  • Sequence 3 provides another substantial damage increase while also reducing the importance of reaching maximum Ghost Shroud stacks. This makes Jingran easier to optimize while increasing his overall damage output.
  • Sequence 4 provides a team-wide 20% damage increase, making it useful not only for Jingran but also for the rest of his team.
  • Sequence 5 acts more like a stepping stone toward his final Sequence. It also provides a cheat-death effect, giving Jingran additional survivability.
  • Sequence 6 is Jingran’s biggest power spike. It massively increases his overall damage and pushes his enhanced Heavy Attack playstyle to another level.

For players looking for maximum Jingran performance, this is obviously his strongest Sequence, but the investment required is considerably higher.

Best Jingran Team

Jingran works particularly well with Iuno and Shorekeeper. The combination gives him the offensive buffs, healing, Crit support, and shielding he needs to maximize his kit.

A recommended team is:

  • Jingran
  • Iuno
  • Shorekeeper

Iuno is particularly valuable because she provides around 40% damage amplification and 50% Heavy Attack amplification while also repeatedly generating shields. Those shields help Jingran build his Ghost Shroud stacks, making Iuno an excellent partner for his kit.

Shorekeeper provides healing and Crit-related buffs while keeping the team alive. She is a reliable support option and fits naturally into Jingran’s main damage rotation.

Alternative Teammates

If you do not have the preferred team, there are several alternatives. Shorekeeper can be replaced by other healers such as Morn or Verena. For Iuno’s slot, other general damage buffers or Heavy Attack-focused supports can work, including:

  • Linnea
  • Lupa
  • Rebecca
  • Mortefi
  • Brandt

The exact performance will depend on the buffs available and how well the team can help Jingran build Ghost Shroud. If your team does not naturally provide shields, there is another option.

You can use Space Trek Explorer together with the Halo of Starry Radiance set on Shorekeeper or another healer. This allows the team to generate a shield and provide additional Ghost Shroud stacks for Jingran.

This is especially useful when you want to maintain his passive without having a dedicated shielder.

Jingran Showcase

In a showcase using Jingran, Iuno, and Shorekeeper, the team demonstrates exactly why these characters work so well together.

Shorekeeper establishes the team’s support buffs before Iuno enters the field. Iuno then generates the necessary shields and helps Jingran reach his maximum Ghost Shroud stacks.

Once Jingran enters the field, his rotation becomes relatively straightforward.

He alternates between his two forms while using his Resonance Skill and enhanced aerial attacks to generate Qi. When additional Qi is required, Basic Attacks can be used to finish the final 100 Qi needed for another enhanced Heavy Attack.

The result is a character capable of dealing very high Fusion damage while relying heavily on HP and Heavy Attack scaling.

His rotation may take some practice, but once the Qi requirements become familiar, Jingran becomes much easier to play than his kit description initially suggests.

Is Jingran Worth Building?

Jingran is a strong Fusion main DPS with a relatively practical playstyle once his mechanics are understood.

His biggest strengths are his high damage, HP scaling, powerful enhanced Heavy Attacks, and ability to work extremely well with some older support characters.

He also gives characters such as Iuno and Shorekeeper another opportunity to shine because their shielding and support abilities fit Jingran’s kit so naturally.

The biggest downside is his demanding build.

Reaching around 50,000 HP while maintaining enough Crit, Energy Regen, and other useful substats can take time. His signature weapon also makes the build much easier, while his four-star weapon options are considerably weaker.

Still, if you have the right Echoes and teammates, Jingran can deliver modern DPS numbers without requiring an overly complicated gameplay loop.

Jingran is a strong Fusion main DPS built around HP scaling, Ghost Shroud, Qi management, and enhanced Heavy Attacks. His main rotation is simple once you understand the core mechanic: activate Liberation and perform four enhanced Heavy Attacks within the 15-second buff window, generating 100 Qi between each attack.

For his build, aim for around 50,000 HP, then balance Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and Energy Regen. Lamp of Nether Road is his preferred Echo set, while Myriad Snare is a strong main Echo choice. Thousandfold Deliverance is his best weapon by a significant margin, although other five-star broadblades can still be used.

For teams, Jingran works particularly well with Iuno and Shorekeeper. Iuno’s shields and Heavy Attack buffs directly complement his kit, while Shorekeeper provides healing and Crit support.

Overall, Jingran is a very capable Fusion DPS who focuses less on flashy mechanics and more on consistently delivering huge Heavy Attack damage. Once his HP requirements and Qi rotation are under control, he can become a very effective and reliable main DPS.
