Legacy Piece: How to Get True Ichigo and Blood Chains
The Bleach update has finally arrived in Legacy Piece, bringing Ichigo, a new island, new bosses, quests, materials, and the powerful Blood Chains ability. Getting everything is not easy, but following the questline step by step will make the process much easier.
You will need to complete several requirements, including defeating bosses, collecting special materials, using Ichigo to defeat enemies, and earning enough money. Here is the full process to unlock True Ichigo and eventually obtain Blood Chains.
Start the Ichigo Quest
First, head to the new island added with the Bleach update and look for the Ichigo NPC. Talk to him to begin his questline. Before starting, it is recommended to prepare a weapon-focused build. You will be using Zangetsu for part of the quest, so having a suitable build can make the early stages easier.
After accepting the quest, talk to the NPC again. You will then be teleported to Ichigo’s Inner World, where you need to fight a boss. Keep in mind that you cannot use your normal abilities or items inside the Inner World, so the fight may be different from what you expect.
Collect White Mask Fragments
After completing the Inner World section, your next task is to collect White Mask Fragments.
Fortunately, the quest gives you information about the islands and approximate locations where the fragments can be found. Follow those locations and collect all the required fragments before continuing with the questline.
This part is mainly about exploration, so make sure you check each listed island carefully.
Set Your Race to Hollow
The next requirement is to change your character’s race to Hollow. Hollow is an Epic race, so it should not be extremely difficult to obtain if you already have access to race rerolls.
Once you have the Hollow race, you need to use Ichigo while completing the next requirement.
You must defeat 2,500 Hollows while using Ichigo. This can take some time, so be prepared for a longer farming session.
Defeat the Level 20K Boss
After killing 2,500 Hollows, the quest requires you to defeat a Level 20,000 boss.
There is an additional requirement here: you need to deal at least 10% of the boss’s damage using Ichigo. Make sure Ichigo is equipped and actively used during the fight so your damage counts toward the requirement.
It is also recommended to farm Solemn Lament while working toward this stage. The amount of progress you receive depends on the difficulty, with Extreme difficulty giving 4 points.
You need a total of 100 points, so higher difficulties can help you finish this requirement faster.
Defeat Five Stern Ritters
The next challenge is defeating five Stern Ritter bosses.
To spawn a Stern Ritter, you need:
- 20 RAI Fragments
- 50 Quincy kills
Farm these requirements until you have enough materials to summon the boss. Then defeat the Stern Ritter and repeat the process until you have defeated all five required bosses.
This part can take some time, especially if you are farming the materials alone, so bringing other players can make the process easier.
Collect Ichigo Boss Materials
After completing the previous quests, you need to gather several rare materials and other requirements.
You will need:
- 10 Blood of the Black Blade
- Horn of Salvation Fragments
- Shattered Fate Fragments
- The new title
- 500 million Money
The required materials and title can be obtained from the new Ichigo Boss.
Talk to the NPC and use the option to spawn the boss. Be prepared for a difficult battle because the Ichigo Boss has a large amount of health and can be quite challenging to defeat.
Fighting with several players is recommended, especially if your character is not strong enough to handle the boss alone.
Unlock True Ichigo
Once you have collected all the required materials, title, and money, you can finally unlock True Ichigo.
The base version comes with four moves. However, this is only the beginning because you can continue the questline to unlock Ichigo’s new Blood Chains moveset.
Talk to the Ichigo NPC again after obtaining True Ichigo to begin the next series of quests.
Start the Blood Chains Quest
The Blood Chains questline contains several different tasks. Some of them are fairly simple, such as using your skills a certain number of times or defeating specific bosses.
You will also need to fight the new Ichigo Boss again during parts of the progression.
There is another important event related to Yhwach. This is a global event, meaning a prompt will appear for players when the event begins. You can enter the event and fight the boss together with other players.
Unlock Blood Chains
After completing the required Blood Chains quests, you can start unlocking the different abilities through continued use of Ichigo’s moves. Keep using the base moves to fill the progression bar. Eventually, this will unlock Horn of Salvation, which then leads to Grand Race Zero.
From there, continue using Ichigo’s abilities to increase your progress toward Blood Chains. Once Blood Chains is unlocked, Ichigo’s moveset will change and give you access to a new set of attacks.
Unlock the Blood Chains Ultimate
Blood Chains does not end with simply unlocking the new moveset. You need to continue using the abilities to progress toward the final ultimate. Keep using the Blood Chains moves during gameplay until the required progression is completed. The ultimate will eventually unlock after enough usage.
The entire process is a long grind, but the reward is a powerful new Ichigo moveset with several unique abilities and a new transformation sequence.
Is Blood Chains Worth Getting?
Getting Blood Chains in Legacy Piece requires a lot of farming, from defeating thousands of enemies to collecting rare materials and fighting difficult bosses. You also need a large amount of money and several quest-specific requirements.
However, the final reward makes the grind worthwhile for players who enjoy Ichigo’s Bleach-inspired moveset. Once everything is unlocked, you can fully enchant the weapon and access the complete Blood Chains kit.
If you are planning to unlock it, bringing other players for the harder bosses can save a lot of time and make the overall grind much easier.
The new Ichigo content in Legacy Piece is a serious grind, but the questline gives you a clear path toward unlocking True Ichigo and Blood Chains. Start by completing the Inner World quest, collect the White Mask Fragments, switch to Hollow, and defeat the required enemies and bosses.
After collecting the Ichigo Boss materials and saving 500 million Money, you can unlock True Ichigo. From there, continue the Blood Chains questline and use the moves repeatedly to unlock Horn of Salvation, Grand Race Zero, Blood Chains, and eventually the ultimate.
