100 Days At Sea Shipwreck Region Beginner Guide, Tips & Tricks!

The Shipwreck Region is one of the more challenging areas added to 100 Days At Sea. This region introduces five different island puzzles, Crystal Skulls, Skeleton enemies, and the Lich King boss. Unlike normal areas, you cannot simply walk into the center and fight the boss.

The main area is protected by a large force-field barrier, and you need to complete several objectives before you can access the Lich King’s island. This guide covers how to find the Shipwreck Region, complete all five Crystal Skull puzzles, remove the barrier, and defeat the Lich King.

How to Find the Shipwreck Region in 100 Days At Sea

The Shipwreck Region is randomly generated, meaning it will not necessarily appear during every run. If you complete a run without finding it, you will need to start another one and search again. When the region appears, you will notice a large central area surrounded by a powerful force-field barrier. Several lighthouses are positioned around the area, and each lighthouse sends a beam toward the center.

These lighthouses are directly connected to the barrier protecting the Lich King. There are five Shipwreck Islands around the region. Each island has its own puzzle and a Crystal Skull. However, completing the puzzle is only the first step. After obtaining a Crystal Skull, you need to take it to the pedestal on that island and start its ritual.

The ritual causes Skeleton enemies to appear. Defeat these enemies to fill the Crystal Skull with their souls.

All 5 Crystal Skull Puzzles in the Shipwreck Region

Each of the five islands has a different puzzle. The islands can appear in a different order because the Shipwreck Region is randomly generated. You need to complete all five puzzles and fully charge every Crystal Skull to remove the central barrier.

Island 1: Digging Puzzle

The first island focuses on digging. Explore the island and look for the marked locations where you can use your shovel. Dig through these spots until you find the chest containing the Crystal Skull.

The exact chest location can change between runs, so do not expect to find it in the same place every time. While digging, enemies can sometimes appear. Make sure you have your weapon ready and switch away from the shovel when Skeletons spawn.

Once you find the Crystal Skull, carry it to the pedestal on the island and place it there. This begins the charging ritual, during which Skeleton enemies will spawn around you.

Island 2: Lantern Puzzle

The second island requires you to deal with the lanterns scattered around the shipwrecks. Look around the island for the different wrecked ships. Lanterns can be found across these locations. Your goal is to interact with the lanterns and extinguish them. You need to turn off around four or five lanterns to complete this puzzle.

After all the required lanterns have been extinguished, a chamber will unlock. Enter the chamber and look for the Crystal Skull chest. Collect the skull and bring it back to the island’s pedestal. Place it on the pedestal to begin the ritual and start charging the Crystal Skull.

Island 3: Grave Symbol Puzzle

The third island has a symbol-matching puzzle. Before interacting with anything, inspect the large locked door. Several symbols will be displayed on the door. You need to remember these symbols and then search the island for graves that contain matching symbols.

The symbols are randomized, so the correct combination can change every time you enter a new run. Once you have identified the correct symbols, activate the graves in the required order. If you match the symbols correctly, the large door will open.

Go inside and collect the Crystal Skull from its chest. After that, return to the island’s pedestal and place the skull there to start the charging ritual.

Island 4: Flag Raising Puzzle

The fourth island is based around several flags. Look around the island for the flagpoles. Walk up to each one and hold E to raise the flag. However, raising the flags comes with a risk. Interacting with a flagpole causes Skeleton enemies to spawn. This can be especially dangerous if you are playing alone because the enemies can attack you while you are stuck in the interaction animation.

Clear the enemies when necessary and continue raising the flags until the objective is complete. After finishing the flag puzzle, the Crystal Skull chest will become available. Take the Crystal Skull and place it on the nearby pedestal to begin the ritual.

Island 5: Ship Cannon Puzzle

The final island requires you to use ship cannons. Look around the area for the nearby ships. Some of them will have circular markings that indicate your targets. Use the cannons to fire at the ships with the highlighted markings.

You need to destroy all of the marked ships to complete the puzzle. Once every required target has been destroyed, the Crystal Skull chest will spawn. Open the chest, take the final Crystal Skull, and place it on the island’s pedestal to start the final ritual.

How to Lower the Shipwreck Region Barrier

Getting all five Crystal Skulls is not enough to open the central area.

Each skull must be fully charged by defeating the Skeleton enemies that appear during its ritual.

After placing a Crystal Skull on its island pedestal, Skeletons will begin spawning around the area.

Defeat them and their souls will be absorbed by the Crystal Skull. Continue fighting until the skull reaches 100% charge.

Every fully charged skull disables one of the lighthouses around the cent
