Anime Vanguards Wrath Event Guide, Explained & How It Works!

The Wrathful Assault Update has added a new limited-time activity to Anime Vanguards called the Wrath Event. This special mode puts players through 15 waves of enemies while introducing unique modifiers that can completely change how a run is played.

There are several difficulty options, seven different Sins to choose from, and a special currency called Wrath Coins. These coins can be exchanged for event-exclusive items, making the mode worth farming if you want extra materials and rewards.

How to Start the Wrath Event in Anime Vanguards

Starting the Wrath Event is fairly simple, but you need to find the correct NPC first. After entering the Anime Vanguards lobby, head toward the center area where the Group beacon tower is located.

You will find an NPC called History’s Strongest nearby. Speak with this NPC to see the available event options. Since the same NPC is also connected to the Summer Event, make sure you select the Wrath Event option instead.

Once selected, you can enter the Wrath Event and begin preparing your team for the upcoming waves.

How Does the Wrath Event Work?

The Wrath Event takes place at Shining Castle and consists of 15 waves. Unlike some of the other game modes in Anime Vanguards, the event gives you a special modifier before the match begins.

You must choose one of the Seven Sins. Each Sin comes with its own effect that stays active throughout the entire run. This means your choice can have a major impact on your strategy, especially when playing on the harder difficulty. Here are all seven Sins currently available:

• Wrath: Whenever a unit attacks an enemy it has already attacked, it gains 50% damage for 30 seconds. This bonus can stack without a limit.
• Pride: You can only place one unit, but that unit gets 5x damage, 50% additional range, and can be placed anywhere on the map.
• Greed: The first non-farm unit you upgrade becomes the only unit you can upgrade. However, every copy of that unit gets 4x damage and can be upgraded beyond its normal maximum.
• Lust: Selling a fully upgraded unit refunds its placement cost while leaving behind a copy that cannot be sold or duplicated again.
• Envy: Your strongest non-farm unit loses 30% damage, while every other non-farm unit receives the same damage value.
• Sloth: All enemies on the map move 30% slower.
• Gluttony: Farms provide their payout a second time at the end of every wave.

For easier farming, Envy, Pride, Greed, and Wrath are generally the more useful choices. Their effects can be turned into strong advantages with the right units and setup.

Best Strategy for the Wrath Event

The easiest way to approach this event is to build your team around the Sin you select. Instead of treating the negative effect as a pure disadvantage, try to find units that can take advantage of its special mechanic.

Envy is particularly useful for this strategy. Although it reduces the damage of your strongest non-farm unit by 30%, that reduced damage value is then applied to your other non-farm units. This allows you to spread the damage of a powerful unit across multiple attackers.

For example, you can use a high-damage unit such as Gilgamesh or Alocard with Monarch as your main damage source. You can then bring a unit like Reimu, which attacks every 0.9 seconds and has full AOE, to make use of the copied damage value.

For additional support, Bounty Hunter can help prevent your other units from being mind-controlled by the Original Boss. You can also bring an economy-focused unit such as Tempest Pirate or Speed Wagon to provide additional money during the run.

With this setup, players can clear even Hard Mode very quickly. A well-prepared team can finish a Hard run in around two minutes, allowing you to repeatedly farm Wrath Coins without spending too much time on each match.

Wrath Event Rewards in Anime Vanguards

Completing the Wrath Event gives you both Battle Pass XP and Wrath Coins. Normal Mode gives 100 Wrath Coins per completion, while Hard Mode rewards 200 Wrath Coins.

Every completed match also provides 3x Battle Pass XP. The Wrath Coins can then be spent in the limited-time Wrath Event Shop.

Is the Wrath Event Worth Farming?

The Wrath Event is worth playing if you need the materials available in its limited-time shop. The event also provides a different style of gameplay because your chosen Sin changes how you should build and use your units.

For players who want to farm quickly, Hard Mode is the better option because it gives twice as many Wrath Coins as Normal Mode. Once you have a reliable team and understand the Sin mechanics, you can repeatedly clear the event and build up enough currency for the items you need.

The main thing to remember is that the best Sin depends on your team. Experiment with Wrath, Pride, Greed, and Envy to find the setup that works best for your current units.

The Wrath Event adds a short but rewarding challenge to Anime Vanguards through its 15-wave structure and unique Sin modifiers. Each choice changes the way your units perform, so understanding the available effects is important before starting a run.

If your goal is simply to collect Wrath Coins, focus on a strong damage setup and choose a Sin that works well with your available units. Once your team is optimized, Hard Mode can become a fast way to farm the event shop and collect its exclusive rewards.
