There are five different ways to earn Gold Nuggets during the event. Since some activities have cooldowns or only appear at certain times, the best approach is to use several methods instead of relying on just one.

1. Find Gold Nugget Safes in Auctions

One of the easiest ways to get Gold Nuggets is by finding special Gold Nugget Safes inside auction garages. These safes can appear as part of the loot available during Wild West event auctions.

To use this method, participate in an auction and win a garage containing a Gold Nugget Safe. Once you have access to the garage, collect the safe and open it to receive Gold Nuggets.

The main advantage of this method is that it fits naturally into your regular Storage Hunters gameplay. You do not need to make a separate trip or complete another activity because you can look for the safes while already participating in auctions.

2. Use the Gold Panner Tool

The Gold Panner is another useful way to collect Gold Nuggets. This tool can appear inside garages during Wild West event auctions, so you will need to win a garage containing one before you can use it.

After obtaining the Gold Panner, equip it and travel to the available panning locations around the map. You can then use the tool to search for Gold Nuggets. Unlike a safe that provides its reward once, the Gold Panner can be used repeatedly. This makes it one of the better options for players who want to continue farming Gold Nuggets after obtaining the tool.

3. Participate in Horse Racing

Horse racing is another activity added as part of the Wild West event. Players can participate in races and earn Gold Nuggets based on their finishing position.

To use this method, head to the event area when a horse race becomes available and enter the race with your horse. Your final position determines the reward you receive.

Horse racing is not available constantly, so you cannot use it as your only source of Gold Nuggets. Keep an eye on the event schedule and participate whenever a race becomes available to add more currency to your total.

4. Complete Bounty Hunting Missions

Bounty hunting gives you another opportunity to earn Gold Nuggets while exploring the map. During the Wild West event, bounty targets can appear across the game world.

When the event begins, join the defense and help protect the town from the incoming threats. Successfully completing the defense rewards you with Gold Nuggets.

Like horse racing, the town defense is not something you can continuously farm whenever you want. It appears during specific periods, so it is worth joining whenever you notice the event has started.

Best Way to Farm Gold Nuggets

The most effective way to build up your Gold Nugget collection is to combine all five methods. Auctions should be part of your normal gameplay because Gold Nugget Safes and Gold Panner tools can appear through auction garages.

Once you have a Gold Panner, use it whenever you have access to the panning locations. At the same time, check the Sheriff for available bounties and participate in horse races or town defense events whenever they appear.

This approach lets you keep earning Gold Nuggets while waiting for activities with limited availability. Instead of sitting around waiting for one method to reset, you can move between the different Wild West activities.
